2 Marjorie Taylor Greene has recently made several public claims suggesting widespread misconduct in Congress, but none of the sourced reporting shows her using the specific phrase that “Congress is a bunch of perverts.” What has been reported is that she has repeatedly implied that sexual misconduct among lawmakers is more common than the public realizes.

What Greene actually said, according to current reporting

She stated that “more members of Congress are guilty of conduct similar” to the allegations against Reps. Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales, suggesting misconduct is “a lot more prevalent” than the public knows.

These comments came after both lawmakers announced resignations following sexual‑misconduct allegations and ethics investigations.

Greene framed Congress as a place where such behavior is not uncommon, saying some members simply “haven’t been caught yet.”
