16 That said, absence of direct quote for "almost killed me" suggests that that angle's an invention of the Russian author. And whoever's responsible, ya gotta love the artful (or idiotic?) insinuation of reciprocal vicious randomness (or vice versa) via conflation of "missile" and "rocket."
