What communists today condemn as colonization was actually civilizing savage tribes. Sub-Saharan Africa failed because its populace was divided among warring tribes. Few tribes had written languages. They did not use the wheel.
The Brits had 13 colonies in North America plus Canada. Lord North, King George III’s prime minister, made the mistake of treating them like Ireland or Scotland. America was much tougher to rule an ocean away.
And while today, we gloat about beating the Brits and their greatest military in the world, we also must respect and appreciate the gift our Mother Country gave us. The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness spring from her—as does the right to property.
In all the recent celebration of our Bicentennial +50, no one mentions the most important thing shared by the 56 signers of that Declaration of Independence. Yes, 50 were wealthy. Yes, 55 were Protestant.
But all 56 were Englishmen.
They rebelled not because they hated the British system. What they hated was being ruled by disinterested Members of Parliament and an otherwise engaged king an ocean away.
The revolution did not result in something insanely different from the norm for these Englishmen who became Americans. The U.S. Constitution, which would become the basis of the American government 13 years later with the election of President Washington, was an American adaptation of British system of governance.

America was not the only benefactor of British rule. The Anglosphere was dominated by successful countries for decades in the post-colonial era.
We joke about Britain “creating” independence days for 60 nations.
Given the foundation the British laid down for us, we should thank them for the rule of law, trial by jury, presumption of innocence, contract law, civil rights and the rest of the British parliamentary system.
Sadly, Britain gradually is allowing what made it great disappear in a mad rush toward sharia law. Maybe we can get together with India, Canada and other alums to colonize England and restore those traditions.
Let's start with a simple question: why does the government fear the truth more than it fears Iran?
The New York Times just published classified details about Air Force One's self-defense systems. Not after the fact. Not with permission. After the FBI specifically asked them not to. At a moment when threats against the President's life are rising, and Tehran is watching every move Washington makes.
And now the Department of Justice has responded. Four journalists, subpoenaed, ordered to Manhattan on the 15th of July, to testify before a federal grand jury. The subpoenas carry the signature of U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton — a man Trump has now nominated to run the Director of National Intelligence.
But here's what nobody in the mainstream is asking. Why does this keep happening? Why, again and again, do leaks materialise at precisely the moment a president threatens to actually change something?
Because this isn't new. Lincoln faced it. McKinley faced it. Every president who dared to challenge the establishment consensus of his day found the machinery of leaks, exposure, and institutional sabotage turned against him. It's not a coincidence. It's a pattern.
And what was Lincoln's crime? What was McKinley's? They believed in an American System — Hamilton's vision. Build at home. Protect the manufacturer. Protect the worker. Reject the fantasy that markets alone will save a nation.
That's the real fight happening underneath this leak story. Trump is reviving that same Hamiltonian instinct. And it terrifies the free-market ideologues who spent forty years hollowing out American manufacturing in the name of "efficiency" — while the defence industrial base withered, and China built ships we can no longer build ourselves.
So look at the Pentagon's ten-million-pound investment with Mike Rowe. "Build Freedom." Rebuilding the welders, the machinists, the electricians — the people free trade told us we didn't need anymore.
This is the real story. Not just who leaked. But why the people who still believe in an American System keep getting punished for it.
[American Thinker] As simmering conflicts between Western citizens and Western governments boil over the next few years, we must never forget how we got to this point: Elected officials and irremovable bureaucrats occupying permanent administrative roles have refused to respect the wishes of the citizens whom they ostensibly represent and serve.
From the United States to the United Kingdom, citizens have demanded that their governments secure national borders and end the steady flow of illegal aliens into their communities. From France, the Netherlands, and Germany to Australia and New Zealand, citizens have demanded that their governments arrest and remove Islamic immigrants who are guilty of rape, murder, or other violent crimes. With the exception of President Trump’s efforts to enforce immigration law and deport illegal alien criminals (despite formidable resistance from the courts, leftist NGOs, and Establishment politicians from both the Democrat and Republican Parties) in the United States, no Western official has done anything to remedy the scourge of unlawful mass invasion in a deliberate, meaningful, and effective way. Instead, Western governments hide from their citizens the true number of illegal immigrants living among them. Western governments hide from their citizens a full accounting of the crimes committed by foreign nationals who should never have been permitted entry in the first place.
Mass illegal immigration is not a new problem. In the United States, President Ronald Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act into law in 1986. Defended by both political parties as a way of combating illegal immigration while providing long-term lawbreakers legal status, it effectively awarded millions of foreign nationals amnesty. Politicians convinced the American people to support this trade-off: In return for citizens’ reluctantly permitting the government to reward the unlawful behavior of foreign immigrants who had no right to reside in the United States, the government would protect citizens by cracking down on future illegal immigration and punishing businesses that hired illegal immigrant workers. The U.S. government never lived up to its side of the bargain.
Instead, U.S. officials have lied to their citizens for forty additional years. Until President Trump entered office, U.S. borders were not secured. Businesses were rarely punished for hiring illegal aliens. Unbeknownst to most American citizens, State and federal welfare programs continued to add illegal aliens to their taxpayer-funded dole rolls. School districts in both cities and small towns continued to enroll illegal alien children. Hospital emergency rooms continued to overflow with illegal alien patients seeking "free" medical care. American jobs — especially blue-collar jobs — continued to go to illegal aliens because employers could pay foreigners less, avoid state and federal taxes, and use the threat of deportation as exploitative leverage over their workforces. Illegal alien workers continued to place downward pressure on hourly wages. Illegal aliens continued to place upward pressure on the costs of housing, energy, and household necessities.
Sometime in the ’90s, American politicians and government bureaucrats began admitting to Americans that there were roughly eleven million illegal aliens inside the United States. For the next thirty years, politicians and bureaucrats repeated the same "eleven million" figure as if no net-increase in immigration had occurred. Anybody living in small-town America knew this to be a demonstrable lie. In the nineties, local school classrooms were made up almost entirely of American kids who grew up speaking English in households whose families had been living in the United States for generations. As each year passed, those same classrooms were increasingly filled with kids whose parents had come from all over the world, and even small school districts were forced to hire staff who could attend to the needs of an increasingly foreign student body unfamiliar with basic English.
Former Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino has said repeatedly that there are more than one hundred million illegal aliens residing in the United States. In other words, roughly one out of every three people living inside the borders of the U.S. is a foreign national unlawfully here. If those foreign nationals are employed, then they are likely guilty of identity fraud and committing a number of additional state and federal crimes. Of those committing identity fraud, many are using social security numbers stolen from American citizens. Illegal aliens who steal Americans’ identities adversely affect citizens’ credit scores, tax obligations with the IRS, and background checks. Illegal aliens who fraudulently vote by claiming to be American citizens steal votes from actual American citizens. Foreign nationals who illegally vote in American elections deny American citizens legitimate representation and undermine Americans’ constitutional form of self-government.
In 1986, lawmakers from both parties promised an end to illegal immigration. Instead, tens of millions of new illegal aliens have continued to arrive. In return for grudgingly acceding to the government’s desire to provide a one-time gift of amnesty to those foreigners whose first act in the country was to break our immigration laws, Americans continued to lose jobs, pay more for everything, and be defrauded by identity theft. Even worse, they were forced to watch as foreign cultures transformed their schools and towns. They were forced to watch as foreigners successfully ran for political office and pushed foreign policies and beliefs upon American citizens.
[PJMedia] Maria Shahbaz, a 13-year-old Pak Christian girl, was kidnapped from her family by 30-year-old Shehryar Ahmad in July 2025. She was forced to renounce her faith and marry her kidnapper. She has since been "exposed to grave abuse and exploitation," according to Alliance Defending Freedom International (ADF).
In February 2026, Shahbaz's case was taken to Pakistain’s Federal Constitutional Court. Rather than returning Shabaz to her parents, the Court instead returned custody to her abductor, subjecting her to further abuse and jeopardizing her safety. The court never confirmed Shahbaz’s age, in violation of Pak law.
On July 9, 2026, the European Parliament (EP) highlighted Shahbaz’s case in a newly adopted resolution. They called for Shahbaz’s return to her family and condemned the broader, disturbing pattern of abductions, forced conversions to Islam, and child marriages throughout Pakistain.
The Members of European Parliament (MEPs), through the resolution, also called on Pakistain to fully implement the country’s national framework to end child marriage. They further advocated for the creation of a national mechanism for handling complaints from families of kidnapped or forcibly converted girls from minorities.
The resolution emphasized Shahbaz's case:
"MEPs are calling for her [Shahbaz] to have access to legal representation, her family, and psychological support," the resolution stated. "They condemn similar abuses committed against underage girls belonging to religious minorities, underlining that her case is emblematic of broader human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. violations faced by minorities in Pakistain; according to UN figures in 2025, among women and girls affected by forced conversion through marriage, around 75% were Hindu and 25% were Christian."
"MEPs call for the protection of religious minorities and urge Pakistain’s government to ensure that all cases involving minors or allegations of coercion are subject to transparent and independent investigations. The perpetrators must be prosecuted and Pakistain’s judicial framework strengthened, they add, and kidnapped girls must be able to return safely."
Shahbaz continues to seek justice in court. She is waiting for a hearing date to be set after the Federal Constitutional Court failed to verify her age and returned her to the custody of her abductor.
Tomislav Sokol, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), said: "The European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... must consistently raise this issue in all its political and economic relations with Pakistain and make it clear that the persecution of Christians will not go unanswered."

...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. It was just too pat. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales... the ADF is supporting Shahbaz's case and calling for an end to forced marriage and conversions in Pakistain.
In a written statement, Tehmina Arora, Director of Advocacy for Asia at Alliance Defending Freedom, said:
Throughout Pakistain, the pattern of abductions, forced conversions, and coerced marriages of underage girls to much older men is alarming. Hundreds of girls each year find themselves victims of these sham marriages, losing their personal freedoms and facing exploitation and abuse.
Maria [Shahbaz] is only 13 years old, yet she has been through more than any child should ever have to face. The court must now do what is right by granting her freedom and establishing a precedent that will protect vulnerable maiden of tender yearss from these horrific acts.
A previous investigation had confirmed Shahbaz was a minor prior to the court's recent ruling and the investigation also found that the marriage certificate was forged. Nevertheless, Pakistain's Federal Constitutional Court granted custody to her kidnapper.
"The court that is due to hear this case has an opportunity to correct a serious injustice. Maria [Shahbaz] is a child. She was kidnapped, her documents were found to be forged, and the court handed her back to the man who took her — without even confirming her age. That cannot be allowed to stand," stated Lazar Allah Rakha, a local allied lawyer following the case.
Shahbaz's case is not an isolated one. More than 1,000 underage non-Moslem girls are forced into conversion and marriage every year in Pakistain.
ADF reported:
The pattern is consistent: abduction, fabrication of marriage and conversion documents, and then reliance on those documents before courts to block a family’s access to their child. Local authorities are often complicit, and courts have frequently failed to uphold the country’s Child Marriage Restraint Act, which sets the legal age of marriage for girls at 18 years.
ADF has supported dozens of girls who have suffered these abuses. Reeha Saleem was 16 years old when she was kidnapped by her neighbor while on her way home from school in the Gujrat district. She was taken to an unknown location by four men, subjected to violence, and forcibly married to one of her captors. She escaped after two months of abuse. However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried... she remained formally "married" to her abuser, and the police refused to protect her. Her marriage was ultimately annulled by a court in Pattoki in 2024.
In another case, 14-year-old Maira was forcibly married and converted from her Christian faith. She escaped her captor, but not before he brutalized, blackmailed, and forcibly converted her. When she sought justice, a high court initially ordered that she be returned to her abductor. With legal support from ADF, she was ultimately freed from the coerced marriage and returned safely to her family.

Pakistain currently benefits from the European Union's Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+). This highly lucrative trade arrangement grants the country complete duty suspensions on approximately 66% of all EU tariff lines. This effectively offers duty-free access to the European market.
In exchange for these trade benefits, Pakistain is required to implement and uphold 27 core international conventions regarding human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and good governance.
The GSP+ program has been an essential lifeline for the Pak economy, particularly for its textile and apparel industries. European Union imports from Pakistain were $9.82 billion during 2025, according to the United Nations ...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly... Commodity Trade Statistics Database on international trade. The EU remains Pakistain's largest export destination, absorbing nearly 30% of its global trade and surpassing the United States and China combined.
The current iteration of the GSP+ framework is scheduled to end on Dec. 31, 2026. While Pakistain has formally started preparatory work for its reapplication under the renewed regulations set to enter into force in 2027, Pakistain's continued eligibility has come under severe scrutiny.
The European Parliament has repeatedly warned Pakistain regarding its human rights record. It has cited concerns over minority protections, press freedom, and the misuse of blasphemy ...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran... laws. This puts vital trade privileges at risk of being stripped if compliance is deemed insufficient.
The EP should now turn its words into action. Western governments should stop projecting their own wishes onto Pakistain and should see Pakistain's government as it really is: An oppressive regime that refuses to help its non-Moslem citizens live in safety and dignity.
Paks can only be supported by stopping their atrocities and cutting off all Western funds and aid until Pakistain takes meaningful steps to end those atrocities and protect the victims. The West can do this in one minute and with no money. Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and the West can also insist that all future funding be linked to Pakistain educating its children for respect for non-Moslems instead of dominance and abuse. The funding first needs to be linked to changes. The funding then needs to be paid out after the changes have been made — and maintained. No reforms or changes, no funding. No protection for religious minorities, no funding. The only way to help Pakistain is by changing the expectations of Paks about what is acceptable — and by staying committed to those changes over time.

The fact that Europeans feel they must urge the Paks to do anything at all speaks volumes. They foolishly subjected themselves to the whims of Paks, Turks and Arabs and now, instead of fighting back, they reveal their weakness by attempting to use words. Words won't get it.
