California authorities seized more than 63,000 pounds of illegal cannabis worth over $104 million, along with firearms and cash, during a three-month crackdown targeting organized criminal networks across the state.
Which organized criminals, pray tell? Mexican or other narco gangs, hippies who don’t want to deal with taxes, regulation, and bookkeeping? Someone else? Give us a clue here, Fox News! The first question proper reporting is supposed to answer is Who?
Between April and June, authorities carried out enforcement operations across 10 counties, eradicating more than 89,000 cannabis plants, confiscating 17 firearms, seizing more than $220,000 in cash and making 24 arrests, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom's office.
Since Newsom established the state's Unified Cannabis Enforcement Task Force in 2022, California has seized and destroyed more than 841,000 pounds of illicit cannabis valued at more than $1.3 billion.
"Disrupting the illegal cannabis market is about more than seizing unlicensed products – it’s about taking on criminal networks, removing illegal firearms out of the hands of dangerous individuals, and stopping activity that threatens public safety," Newsom said in a statement.
"Through strong multiagency collaboration, California is making clear: if you threaten our communities, we will act," he added.
The largest enforcement operation took place between May 14 and June 3 across the southern Central Valley and northern Antelope Valley, where the California Department of Fish and Wildlife led a multiagency effort serving 26 search warrants at illegal cannabis sites in Tulare, Kern and Los Angeles counties.
Authorities eradicated nearly 24,000 cannabis plants, destroyed roughly 3,700 pounds of processed cannabis, seized cash, and arrested or cited multiple individuals.
Investigators also uncovered numerous environmental violations, including 13 cultivation sites where banned, unregistered or foreign-labeled pesticides were found or suspected.
Kern County accounted for the largest seizure during the three-month operation, with authorities confiscating more than 25,000 pounds of illegal cannabis valued at $41.5 million and destroying 26,442 plants.
Authorities also seized more than 14,500 pounds of illegal cannabis in Alameda County, valued at more than $24 million.
California Department of Fish and Wildlife Director Meghan Hertel said investigators routinely find restricted pesticides at illegal grow sites tied to organized criminal enterprises.
She warned the toxic chemicals threaten wildlife and can also pose a risk to consumers because illegally grown cannabis isn't tested for safety.

Sure, but the illegal stuff carries the risk of being tainted with fentanyl and the knowledge that each purchase supports international narco gangs and Hezbollah, which has been entwined with them for thirty years or more. The War on Terror doesn’t stay neatly on the other side of the world.

The biggest threat to California communities is Newsom with his plan to transform single family neighborhoods with massive apartment complexes. He gives no thought to traffic, schools, hospitals, water, fire protection, police protection or anything else. He only cares that people who live in apartments are more likely to vote Democrat than people who own their own homes and pay property taxes.
And then there are the rigged elections.
As for the marijuana, I smell that legal weed all over town these days and it doesn't smell anything at all like the weed in the 1960's and 1970's. People tell me that's because it's so much more potent these days but I'm not convinced. It'd be like Newsom and his Democrat friends to genetically modify the legal stuff so it's not even the same drug anymore.
I mean, you have to wonder why growing a plant that would get you five years in the state penitentiary 50 years ago is now encouraged by the government.
I'm sure there are old hippies who grow it for their own use and I'd leave them alone.
But I'm afraid the bigger growers are either government stooges or narco terrorists from places like Mexico and China. The latter would have no qualms about using dangerous, illegal pesticides and fertilizers. I'd stay away from all of that.

MALI 🇲🇱 | 💥 Situation report as of 07/10, the day after the clashes between the FLA/JNIM coalition and the Africa Corps/FAMa convoy
The fighting began yesterday around 09:00, near Tabankort, 45 km south of Anéfis, and lasted until nightfall. Several periods of lull occurred due to sandstorms and heavy rains in the late afternoon.
Allah wanted them all to suffer.
The convoy turned back for the first time following the ambush in order to regroup and then resume its advance toward Anéfis, facing a new assault from the armed groups.
Despite all these violent clashes and the numerous losses on both sides, the remainder of the convoy arrived in Anéfis early this morning.
⚠️ Key development: the pro-government militias GATIA and MSA took part in the fighting against the FLA, alongside the FAMa, and reportedly gained the upper hand over the Tuareg separatists during a battle near Anéfis.
REPORTED LOSSES:

Having set out from Gao three days ago to rescue the #Wagner elements stranded in the Anefif camp, the reinforcements arrived at their destination last night.
But the price to pay was very heavy.
This massive convoy of more than 60 vehicles (including 45 from Wagner) went through a true hell. Despite being escorted by a Su-24, two Russian Orlan-10 drones, and three Bayraktar drones, it was attacked by the FLA (Azawad Liberation Front): kamikaze drone strikes and intense heavy weapons combat.
The provisional toll reports:

1. JNIM(-FLA) is demonstrating growing capability and capacity to project simultaneous, coordinated pressure across Mali. The July 4 attacks prove April 25 was not entirely a one-off or "once-a-year" type offensive; these kinds of nationwide attacks could become the new normal.
2. The battle for Anéfis could signal that JNIM-FLA is more willing to get stuck into more conventional, prolonged battles. Fighting around Anéfis has been going on for nearly a week now, with both sides comitting a substantial number of drones, soldiers, and vehicles to the battle. It's one of the most prolonged and intense battles since the Mali conflict firmly shifted to an insurgency around 2014.
3. All that said, Malian and Russian forces are demonstrating much more resiliency this time around than they did after April 25. Security forces allegedly got tipped off on some of the attacks, and they have doubled down on Anéfis, sacrificing a substantial number of forces and materiel to hold onto/reinforce the town rather than withdraw. Lends support to the idea that April 25 will be as easy as it gets for FLA-JNIM, as security forces have increasingly consolidated their positions and will be less easily surprised.

I will admit I haven't been following events in Mali very closely. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but a quick internet search indicates that FLA/JNIM are Muslim hard boyz similiar to Boko Haram in Nigeria or Al-Shabaab in Somalia. Salt your popcorn to your own taste. But it seems these days this kind of thing is happening all over Africa.

Yahya Saeed Mohammed Hamdan, the commander of a cell in Hamas’s elite Nukhba Force, was killed in southern Gaza on Thursday, the military announced.
On October 7, Hamdan raided the Re’im base, which houses the headquarters of the IDF’s Gaza Division, according to the military.
Recently, Hamdan worked to advance attacks on troops, as well as to restore Hamas’s capabilities, and therefore, he "posed an immediate threat," the IDF said.

Recently, Muhareb "stored bombs that were intended to be used against IDF troops," the military said.
And a strike on Wednesday in northern Gaza killed Khalil Jamal Khalil Manna, whom the IDF identified as a commander in Hamas’s weapons production division.
Both Muhareb and Manna "posed a threat" to IDF troops and were therefore targeted in strikes, the army said.
The IDF in recent months has ramped up strikes on terror operatives in Gaza, saying they posed a threat to Israeli forces.

Separately, the IDF said it recently demolished five Hamas tunnels spanning some two kilometers (1.2 miles) in the northern Gaza Strip, on the Israeli side of the ceasefire line. The demolition operations were led by reservists of the 14th Armored Brigade.

ISRAEL DEFENDS DETENTION OF GAZA DOCTOR/HAMAS OFFICER
Also Friday, Israel defended the detention of a Gaza hospital director and Hamas officer, who has been held since December 2024, was "lawful," and rejected reports that he suffered a life-threatening condition. Hussam Abu Safiya, one of the highest-profile Paleostinian detainees, "is lawfully detained by Israel based on concrete intelligence," Israel’s diplomatic mission in Geneva said on X.
"At no stage of his detention has he exhibited any indication of a life-threatening condition," the mission said.
Abu Safiya holds the rank of colonel in the Hamas Military Medical Services, according to the service itself and Paleostinian media reports. The pediatrician and director of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital rose to prominence in 2024 by posting about the dire conditions in his besieged hospital in Beit Lahia during a major Israeli offensive. Human rights groups have called for his release. Israel said Abu Safiya "managed Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, operating it as one of Hamas’s terror hubs. Abu Safiya exploited his position at the hospital to divert humanitarian resources intended for civilian needs towards terrorist purposes. He enabled Hamas terrorist activity against Israeli forces during IDF operations in Gaza, posing a direct threat to Israel’s national security."
The statement came after a United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... investigative team and several UN rights experts this week raised an alarm about his case. Four independent UN rights experts said in a statement on Tuesday that "Dr. Abu Safiya’s ongoing arbitrary detention without charges or trial is a reflection of Israel’s systematic targeting of Paleostinian health workers."
The UN’s independent Commission of Inquiry (CoI) on the rights situation in the Paleostinian territories issued a separate statement on Wednesday voicing "grave concern at credible reports that Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya... has been subjected to continued and severe abuse" during his detention.
It called for his "immediate, unconditional and safe release."
Israel said, however, that Abu Safiya’s "lawful detention is subject to regular administrative review and judicial oversight," including by the Supreme Court last month. The Israeli statement also said that "no indications were found to support the claims raised regarding his condition."
Abu Safiya had been repeatedly examined by medical professionals, the statement said.
"He remains under continuous medical supervision and receives treatment in accordance with the professional determination of medical personnel," the statement added.
Israeli attacks on Thursday reportedly killed six people across the Gaza Strip, while targeting and failing to kill a spokesman for the Hamas terror group. Gaza’s Hamas-run civil defense agency said six people were killed in Israeli drone strikes and gunfire. Hamas’s figures are unverified and do not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
Two people were killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone struck central Gaza’s Nuseirat camp, the agency said, and four people were killed in other attacks. Gaza hospitals said they received the bodies of six individuals killed in the attacks.
A security source in Gaza said an Israeli drone strike targeted the vehicle of Hazem Qassem, a spokesman for Hamas. Qassem was not in the vehicle, but the strike killed his bodyguard, the source said. The bodyguard was among the six fatalities reported by the civil defense agency.
The Israel Defense Forces did not immediately respond when asked about the attacks.
IDF: ISLAMIC JIHAD COMMANDER, HAMAS SNIPER KILLED
The IDF did confirm that a commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s weapon production division was killed in an Israeli strike in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday. The IDF said Thursday that the strike killed Rashid al-Qadhi, who “played a central role in various processes within the organization’s production array, which is responsible for manufacturing and supplying all weapons to the group’s military wing.”
A separate strike in northern Gaza on Wednesday killed Abdullah Baha al-Din Razak al-Souti, a Hamas sniper, according to the military.
The IDF said the activities of both terror operatives “posed a threat to our forces,” and they were therefore targeted.
The IDF in recent months has been ramping up strikes on terror operatives in Gaza, saying they posed a threat to Israeli forces, following the October 2025 ceasefire that halted the war and saw the last of the hostages returned.

Four Israeli citizens from the Bedouin town of Segev Shalom were arrested and indicted over plans to carry out various terror-related activities, including a mass shooting attack at Beersheba’s central bus station, the Israel Police, Shin Bet and the State Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.
The cell from the town, also known as Shaqib al-Salam, initially planned a stabbing attack at the Beersheba bus station, but then changed the plan to a shooting, believing knives would be insufficient, the prosecutors said in a statement.
One of the defendants, who saw himself as the "commander" of the cell, is said to have decided after the Jewish-Arab ethnic riots of 2021 to form a terror framework to fight security forces.
He opened social media groups, including a public Instagram page, in which he published pro-jihad content, including content from Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... and other terror groups, footage from the October 7, 2023, onslaught, praise for murderous Moslems and explicit calls for armed struggle, jihad and martyrdom.
He recruited the other cell members through that activity, and gave each of them a nickname, branding one of them — who downloaded a video on how to make bombs — the "engineer."
The four also planned to carry out a shooting attack at the Segev Shalom cop shoppe, and to form a "terror infrastructure" aimed at harming security forces operating in the community, the police and Shin Bet said in a joint statement.
The four were arrested in May and June of this year, and an indictment was filed Friday morning.
The four are accused of conspiring to commit an act of terror, and training or getting guidance for terror purposes.
The apparent commander of the group was additionally charged with incitement to terror and identifying with a terror group.
There have been several terror attacks at the Beersheba bus station over the years, including the 2024 killing of 19-year-old Border Police officer Sgt. Shira Suslik, and a 2015 attack in which 19-year-old IDF Sgt. Omri Levy was killed, and innocent bystander Haftom Zarhum, 29, was shot and beaten by the crowd when he was mistaken for a terrorist.

IRAN THREATENS TO HIT ISRAEL IN RESPONSE TO US ATTACKS
Hours before Trump’s social media post, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Council threatened to target Israel in response to American attacks.
"As we have already announced, any attack on infrastructure will be retaliated against, and the criminal Zionist regime responsible for these atrocities will not be spared from the response of our fighters," said Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, in a statement carried by state TV.
In Israel, the Kan public broadcaster reported that some in Jerusalem wanted to renew strikes on Iran, but were waiting for Trump’s go-ahead to do so.

Similarly, The New York Post quoted a Jerusalem source who said Israel was interested in joining future strikes and fully renewing the war.
"We’re willing to do it again, if needed," the unnamed source was quoted as saying on Wednesday, before the US began striking Iran.
The source added that while Israel was "not eager to go back to the day when people have to go to shelters," it doesn’t want to "ignore what’s happening in Iran."

RUSSIA SUSPENDS RETURN OF WORKERS TO IRAN’S NUCLEAR PLANT
Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom, meanwhile, said Friday it had suspended the return of its first employees to the construction site of new units at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant following new strikes on Iran.
An Iranian official told state media on Thursday that a projectile had struck the perimeter area of the facility, hitting a military site on the outskirts of Bushehr.
"A few hours ago, the first group of people — six individuals — began their journey to the site, but following the attacks that took place last night, we have halted our team’s progress in Tehran," the Russian state corporation’s chief, Alexei Likhachev, was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying.
"We will decide on the next steps in the near future," he said.
Rosatom, which is building two new units at Bushehr, evacuated more than 600 staff to Russia after the launch of the US-Israeli war with Iran on February 28. Some of them started returning, arriving in Tehran, where their further journey to the plant was put on hold.
The Russian state nuclear corporation has left only 20 personnel there to maintain construction activities and has said that the expansion of the plant remains one of its priorities.
Gulf Arab states, which repeatedly have been targeted by Iran since the war began February 28, did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday over the strikes. The attacks come as they and the US insist the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for world energy markets, must be open and free to ships.
The US military’s Central Command said Thursday around 6:30 a.m. local Iran time that it had concluded a round of strikes that saw some 90 targets hit. Shortly after that, Iranian news outlets and state media reported a series of airstrikes and explosions targeting the country’s Bushehr and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces, the cities of Ahvaz and Chabahar and other areas.
A US defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss operational details of the American military campaign, said there had been no new US strikes since the last round ended Thursday morning.
Iran responded to the strikes Thursday by launching a wider volley of attacks across the Mideast, targeting Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar. Missile alert sirens sounded in the four countries, sending people to seek shelter. One person was reportedly hurt in Kuwait as air defense systems targeted the incoming fire across the region.
During the Iran war, there were also a series of unclaimed airstrikes. Officials later said both Saudi Arabia and the UAE launched airstrikes on Iran, after Tehran struck energy sites in their countries. Having a Gulf country again strike Iran likely could be an effort to deter Tehran from targeting the Gulf states again.
Israel, which, under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has engaged in an intense campaign against Iran, has not attacked the Islamic Republic since June. In most cases, Israel immediately claims its attacks on Iran.
Israel’s government said Netanyahu spoke with US President Donald Trump on Thursday night, with Trump updating Netanyahu “on American moves in the Gulf.”
Israel Katz, Israel’s defense minister, also renewed threats that his nation stood ready to confront Iran if needed. The Israeli military “is on alert and ready to renew the campaign, to reestablish aerial superiority, and to carry out a blue-white (Israeli) strike in Iran to remove threats, even for a third time,” Katz told a military ceremony. “If we will have to return, we will return with even greater force.”
