[Breitbart] Roughly five dozen migrants were apprehended after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials intercepted several smuggling boats off the coast of California.
In a press release on Friday, it was revealed that officials from the CBP’s Air and Marine Operations (AMO) division “interdicted three smuggling vessels” between April 17 and April 21, 2026. Out of the 60 migrants who were apprehended, some of them were reported to “have criminal histories for offenses including failure to yield, driving under the influence, felony hit-and-run, making false police reports,” along with trespassing, burglary, and domestic violence offenses. Oh, the horror!
“These interdictions show the great lengths dangerous criminals will go to avoid apprehension, including taking to the open ocean in unsafe, overcrowded vessels,” Hunter Robinson, the executive director for the Air and Marine Operations Southwest Region, said in a statement.

🚨 SAF Drone Strike Hits IDP-Inhabited Area in Central Darfur
This morning, April 27, 2026, the Sudanese Armed Forces carried out a drone strike targeting the Al-Hamidiya camp in Zalingei, Central Darfur State, Block 4. The attack caused damage to buildings and property in the area.
As of now, casualties have not yet been confirmed.
The site of the strike is located in an area inhabited by internally displaced persons (IDPs). This raises serious concerns about the possible targeting of civilians and civilian objects under international humanitarian law.
[SudanTribune] The General Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur accused the Sudanese army on Monday of targeting a crowded camp in Zalingei, Central Darfur, with a drone strike that injured at least 15 people.
The strike on the camp is part of an intensified campaign by the Sudanese army drones in the region. Over the past few days, aerial operations have frequently targeted numerous sites across the five Darfur states currently under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Political forces and armed movements allied with the RSF accuse the army of striking civilian targets. However, the Sudanese Armed Forces maintain that these raids target RSF positions, including weapon and ammunition depots, fuel stores, and drone hangars, as part of a strategy to disable the RSF’s offensive and defensive capabilities.

Following the coordinated assault by JNIM and FLA simultaneously across the entire country:

- In Kidal, the city remains under the control of FLA and JNIM. Africa Corps has deserted the area, and FAMa forces are still entrenched south of the city.
General Ag Gamou was driven from his home and joined Gao today.
- In Gao, numerous military positions have been captured. Rebel and terrorist fighters were patrolling the city as early as Saturday morning. The area around the military airport and the former MINUSMA camp is still held by FAMa. Control of the city remains uncertain.
- In Bourem, no additional information following the capture of the military camp, a key point on the Gao–Kidal axis.

🔷 In the South:
- In Mopti, the city was controlled by JNIM for several hours on Saturday before they abandoned it in the evening.
- In Sévaré, terrorists attacked the airport; videos showing them crossing the city on motorcycles were circulated. Since then, the situation has returned to normal.
- In Bamako, Bamako-Sénou International Airport was attacked by JNIM. This assault was contained by the armed forces, and the situation is currently stable in the capital.
- In Kati, calm has returned following the attack carried out early on the 25th in the morning in the neighborhood where the country's main authorities live.
ℹ️ The situation in the south quickly returned to normal, while in the north, the territories are still controlled by the attackers who continue to seize new cities.
Given these methods of operation, it seems the goal was not to take Bamako, but rather to occupy the army and government in the south in order to isolate the north, the real target of this operation.

Russia and the FLA have reached an agreement, in line with the demands of the Azawad rebels, allowing Russian paramilitary forces from the Africa Corps to withdraw from the former MINUSMA camp in Kidal (📹 in comments). They had been holed up there since the start of the assault on the city alongside the Malian army.
This agreement initially included an escort of the convoy by the FLA and, secondly, a destination chosen by the rebels, Tessalit rather than Gao.
These negotiations took place without consulting the Malian government, leaving the fate of the FAMa up in the air, abandoned to their own devices.
Other negotiations are ongoing; today, Africa Corps troops peacefully released the town of Tessit, south of Gao, handing it over to the FLA rebels.
No information on the withdrawal destination of the Russian convoy.

The FLA issued a statement as early as the evening of Saturday, April 25 (📸), affirming full control of the city of Kidal and the attacks on Gao.
For its part, JNIM published a statement at the same time (📸) in which they claimed the attacks on Bamako, Kati, Mopti, Sévaré, Gao, and Kidal.
Notably, the two groups, on one hand, explicitly mentioned their partnership with each other—a first in the country. And on the other hand, they called on the Russian authorities to reconsider their commitment alongside the Bamako junta.
It was following this call that the Russia-FLA negotiations began regarding the fate of the Africa Corps in Kidal. Moreover, a partnership with the FLA is explicitly mentioned—a first in the country.

Troops of 82 Division Task Force Battalion, Ngoshe, have recovered four improvised rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) bombs during a fighting patrol around the Mandara Mountains in Borno State.
Security sources told Zagazola that the operation was conducted on April 25 at about 11:45 a.m. when the troops embarked on a patrol from the battalion headquarters to the foot of the Mandara Mountains in the Bokko area.
The sources said the troops combed the area and discovered four RPG bombs concealed under a shrub at the base of the mountains.
According to the sources, preliminary assessment indicated that the explosives were likely concealed by suspected terrorists for possible use against troops or other targets within the general area.
[Reuters] Mexican special forces have arrested Audias Flores, known as "El Jardinero" and one of the top commanders of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), in the western state of Nayarit, security minister Omar Garcia Harfuch said on Monday.
Flores - a regional commander in control of swathes of CJNG territory along Mexico's Pacific coast - was considered a potential successor to Nemesio Oseguera, alias "El Mencho," who ran the cartel and was killed in a security operation in February.
Security forces surrounded a cabin in El Mirador, some 20 km (12 miles) north of the popular resort city of Puerto Vallarta, where Flores was being protected by a perimeter of some 30 pickup trucks and over 60 gunmen, according to a press release from Mexico's Navy, which led the operation.
Flores' escorts scattered as a diversion but he was located as he tried to hide in a drainage ditch, it added.
"The operation was carried out with surgical precision without a single shot being fired," the Navy said in a statement.
Videos shared by Garcia Harfuch on social media showed aerial footage of the arrest as helicopters hovered overhead during the operation, which the Navy said followed 19 months of surveillance and involved more than 500 troops, six helicopters and several planes.
The Navy also used intelligence provided by U.S. authorities in the successful capture, including aerial surveillance, according to a Mexican security official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
It was not immediately clear if Flores would face charges in Mexico, but Garcia Harfuch said he was wanted for extradition by U.S. authorities, who have offered a $5 million reward for his arrest.
Later in the day, Mexican authorities announced they had arrested Cesar Alejandro N., nicknamed "El Güero Conta," who Mexican authorities say was a key money launderer for Flores.
'BIGGER' THAN EL MENCHO
Carlos Olivo, a former U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration assistant special agent in charge and a CJNG expert, said Flores was a "significant figure" and that his arrest "will have a bigger effect on CJNG operations than El Mencho being taken out."
Flores was key to operations within the Jalisco cartel, controlling networks of drug laboratories, smuggling routes, and distribution networks within the United States, according to the Mexican security official.
Mexico has significantly stepped up its security efforts, under enormous pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to use unilateral military action in Mexico if he feels that the Mexican government is not doing enough to fight the cartels.
Last year, the Trump administration also tied tariff threats to what it considered insufficient measures to halt fentanyl trafficking and curb migration. The U.S., Mexico and Canada are in the process of reviewing their shared free trade pact.
Monday's arrest of "a key leader of the violent CJNG represents a significant step forward in the fight against those who profit from fentanyl and fuel violence in our communities," U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ronald Johnson said on social media.
The U.S. Treasury Department identified Flores as a "significant foreign narcotics trafficker" in 2021, when a U.S. grand jury had charged him with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin, among other crimes.
The arrest marks the latest blow to Mexican drug cartels after El Mencho's killing - a personal mission for Garcia Harfuch, who blamed El Mencho for a 2020 assassination attempt that left two of his bodyguards dead.
Flores was among several top regional leaders who security analysts believed could be well placed to take over control of the cartel.
Mexico's security situation is facing tight scrutiny as the country prepares to co-host the FIFA World Cup this summer alongside the U.S. and Canada.

A pair of incidents took place outside of Jewish sites in the Toronto area over the weekend, adding to a series of attacks that have left the city’s Jewish community unnerved.
During Shabbat services on Saturday, a man tried to force his way into the Sephardic Kehilah Centre in the suburb of Vaughan. After the man was turned away by security, he reportedly encountered a father and son on their way to the synagogue and punched the father in the face. The father was left with no serious injuries.
The following day, photos circulated after a rock was hurled and broke the window of Aleph Bet Judaica, a shop on the heavily Jewish Bathurst Street corridor. Police did not confirm which business was hit, but confirmed that a rock was thrown at a business near Bathurst Street and Regina Avenue, and that the Hate Crime Unit "was consulted and is aware."
No suspects have been identified in either incident.
Unlike other recent attacks on Toronto synagogues and Jewish businesses, which were carried out late at night, these two incidents took place in broad daylight, both around 9:30 a.m.
Getting bolder because there are no serious consequences. There are no serious consequences because the government shrugs and turns away, mouthing platitudes but nothing more.
The UJA Federation of Greater Toronto wrote in a statement that the Sephardic Kehilah Centre incident, which is being investigated by the police’s Hate Crime Unit, reflected "a continued pattern of antisemitic violence targeting our community."
In March, three synagogues across the Toronto area were hit with gunfire. In the last couple of months, a restaurant owned by a Jewish pro-Israel advocate was shot at twice, at two of its locations. And in 2024, a Jewish girls’ elementary school was hit by gunfire on three separate occasions.
"As these incidents become more normalized, they erode public safety and our way of life as Canadians," the UJA’s statement read. "This cannot be tolerated."
The Canadian Jewish News reported that the suspect was turned away by synagogue security on Saturday for "suspicious behavior," according to an email from the rabbi, and told security that he was Middle Eastern and not there for prayer services. After the man left the building, according to the email, he threw away torn pieces of paper that looked to contain verses of Psalms.
B’nai Brith Canada blasted "people in positions of authority" who it says have "responded with hesitation, weak enforcement, and political platitudes while Jewish communities continue to pay the price." It also thanked Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca, who wrote that "we must be vigilant and do everything possible to support and protect our Jewish residents."
The group called for the federal government to take eight specific actions to combat antisemitism, including establishing a national antisemitism task force, providing emergency funding for the protection of Jewish institutions, and prosecuting the repeated gunfire attacks as acts of domestic terrorism.
On Monday, B’nai Brith also released its annual audit of antisemitic incidents, which found that there were 18.6 antisemitic incidents reported per day across Canada in 2025, a 9% increase from 2024.

Two 14-year-old girls were detained for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the violent mostly peaceful beating of another girl in south Tel Aviv in February, police said on Monday, after footage of the incident circulated widely online.
Another 15-year-old girl was previously arrested in the case and has been released under restrictive conditions, police said.
The victim, aged 12, was on her way home from school when she was ambushed by a group of girls who pulled her hair, broke one of her teeth and stole her cellphone, according to Hebrew media.
The victim was lightly injured and required medical treatment, police said.

Netanyahu said that only about 10 percent of Hezbollah’s missile stock remains from when the recent bout of fighting began last month, but that "there are still two central threats" posed by the group, namely its 122mm rockets and use of drones and UAVs. If Israel succeeds in countering these threats "through a combination of operational and technological means... we are essentially on the path to disarming Hezbollah — because this is their primary weaponry," Netanyahu said.
The premier suggested that doing so will assist the talks with Beirut, telling the senior IDF officers in the audience that he expects them "to solve these two problems — because on the diplomatic side, I believe we will be able to resolve things, if we have resolved this."
Netanyahu earlier in the day held a security meeting regarding the Hezbollah fire, leading to the cancellation of his testimony in his criminal trial, according to multiple reports.

The talks have been held despite opposition from Hezbollah, which began attacking Israel in support of its sponsor Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun told a delegation from villages in southern Lebanon on Monday that negotiating with Israel "is not betrayal," as Beirut and Jerusalem continued talks aimed at reaching a settlement and potential peace deal.
"Betrayal is carried out by those who take their country to war to serve foreign interests," he added, in reference to Hezbollah and Iran.
His remarks were published shortly after Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem ... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies... , whose group is committed to Israel’s destruction, issued a statement reiterating that the group would not give up its weapons and calling the negotiations with Israel a "grave sin." He asserted that some in Lebanon "reap gains at the expense of the destruction" of the country. Under a previous truce between Israel and Lebanon that ended a bout of fighting in 2024, Lebanese authorities committed to disarming Hezbollah so that it could no longer launch attacks on Israel.
Aoun said: "How long will the people of the south continue to pay the price for the wars of others on our land? If the war were for Lebanon, we would support it — but when its purpose is to serve the interests of others, I reject the war entirely."
Later Monday, Lebanese politician Fouad Makhzoumi argued during a podcast that the country’s military chief should be removed from his position if he is unable to disarm Hezbollah. Appearing on the "Decision Points" podcast of Washington Institute for Near East Policy fellow David Makovsky, Makhzoumi said that Haykal reports to the Lebanese president and the cabinet: "At the end of the day, we are asking them to deliver. If he doesn’t, yes, he has to be removed."
Makhzoumi represents a one-man secular party in the Lebanese parliament, so it wa unclear how widespread his views are, but calls for Haykal’s ouster — in the event that he fails to deliver — are rare.
Haykal presented a five-phase roadmap for disarming Hezbollah last year, but he has faced criticism for the plan’s lack of clear timeline. Moreover, he announced earlier this year that the LAF had succeeded in disarming Hezbollah south of the Litani River, 20 to 30 kilometers from the border with Israel. That declaration proved to be wildly overstated in recent months, given Hezbollah’s repeated firing at Israel from the south of the country during the Iran war.
Haykal’s defenders note that he has been given a highly difficult task, given the degree to which Hezbollah has embedded itself in the fabric of Lebanese society. They argue that a rushed disarmament process could spark another civil war in Lebanon.
HEZBOLLAH REPORTEDLY THREATENS SUICIDE BOMBINGS
Earlier, Qassem had said in a statement, "We categorically reject direct negotiations with Israel, and those in power should know that their actions will not benefit Lebanon or themselves."
"These direct negotiations and their outcomes are as if they do not exist for us, and they do not concern us in the slightest," the terror chief added, saying "we will continue our defensive resistance for Lebanon and its people."
He said: "There are those who advocate surrender. They reap gains at the expense of the destruction of their brothers and families in Lebanon and the occupation of parts of Lebanon."
However,

Hezbollah kept up drone attacks throughout Monday, launching an explosive-laden drone at troops stationed in southern Lebanon, the IDF said. The military said the drone went kaboom! near the forces, but did not cause any injuries. In another incident, the military said it intercepted another Hezbollah drone that was launched at troops in southern Lebanon.
A similar drone attack killed an Israeli soldier and injured six others the day before.
"These are further violations of the ceasefire understandings by the Hezbollah terror organization," the army added.
The drone attacks also riled communities in northern Israel, with a suspected Hezbollah drone triggering sirens in the Western Galilee. The IDF said it lost contact with the "suspicious aerial target," indicating it crashed somewhere. A siren that sounded in the town of Arab al-Aramshe, warning of rocket fire, was activated due to fears of falling fragments following attempts to intercept the drone, according to the military.
Additional sirens warning of a drone attack in the Western Galilee that were activated several minutes later were false alarms, the IDF noted.
The terror group has made frequent use of small first-person view (FPV) drones in its attacks on Israeli troops. Some of the drones are guided using a spool of fiber-optic cable, which makes them immune to efforts to electronically jam their signal.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar told UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, that Hezbollah continues to violate the US-brokered ceasefire in Lebanon and is exploiting the presence of UN peacekeeping forces,, who was visiting Israel in efforts to facilitate the truce. These violations "undermine" Beirut’s interests, Sa’ar said on Monday, according to a readout from his office, adding that since the start of the US-Israeli campaign against Iran last month, the terror group has launched approximately 10,000 missiles, rockets, and drones at Israel.He added that many of these attacks were carried out near outposts of the United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... Interim Force in Lebanon, saying "Hezbollah systematically places its operatives and military assets in close proximity to UNIFIL positions and exploits UNIFIL’s presence for hostile activity."
Sa’ar urged "action against these patterns of behavior," including for the Lebanese government to target Hezbollah through economic measures.
The IDF also gave updates on festivities the day before in southern Lebanon that came after the attack in which an Israeli soldier, Idan Fooks, was killed and six others were maimed by a Hezbollah dronezap.A drone launched by Hezbollah at troops of the Golani Brigade stationed in the region was successfully intercepted. In another incident, three Hezbollah operatives who were identified near troops were killed in airstrikes, the military said.
Additionally, the military said it struck several buildings used by Hezbollah, including one that served as the terror group’s "headquarters in the Bint Jbeil sector."
"Following the strikes, secondary explosions were identified, indicating the presence of weapons in the structures," the army said.
NORTHERN LEADERS DEFY HOME FRONT COMMAND, HALT STUDIES OVER HEZBOLLAH ATTACKS
Northern community leaders announced that they will halt school and impose independent security restrictions, defying Home Front Command guidelines, amid the persistent Hezbollah attacks.
Speaking at a presser in the northern border community of Shtula, the officials said that starting Tuesday, studies will be suspended across all border communities for at least 24 hours, after which the decision will be reassessed. They also declared that communities adjacent to the border would be classified as "orange," while others would be designated "yellow," mirroring the Home Front Command model — but implemented independently and without state backing.
Under the military’s color-coded system introduced during the war, "yellow" zones allow in-person schooling and limited gatherings if shelters are accessible, while "orange" zones prohibit educational activities and restrict gatherings, even when protected spaces are available.
The move came after Israel reimposed some restrictions in the north on Sunday, including canceling the mass Lag B’Omer pilgrimage set for next week, amid continued Hezbollah attacks despite the truce.
"We will not wait for a disaster before making life-saving decisions," said Moshe Davidovich, head of the Forum of Front-Line Communities. "We will not abandon our children or gamble with their lives."
Davidovich blasted the government’s classification of the area as "green" — which allows normal schooling — calling it "neglect" in light of ongoing threats.
"When the area is burning and UAVs are circling overhead, defining the region as ’green’ is not policy — it is neglect," he said. "We are taking responsibility for our children’s lives and moving the area to an ’orange’ designation."
He said that municipalities are demanding immediate fortification of all homes within nine kilometers (5.6 miles) of the border, "here and now, not to wait for the next war," along with compensation for businesses and farmers who were affected by the fighting.
