2 Institutions and zealots attack perceived threats whether they are Reagans, Trumps or Kennedys. They might come up with a political strategy to remove Newt Gingrich or Clarence Thomas. Dems never seek to remove guys like John Thune, though. He works for them.

4 This brings us to the Democrat claim that violence has no place in politics. Former President Barack Obama echoed this on social media Sunday morning: "Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all of us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy."

Of course that's what he says in public. Gotta wonder if he still misses his sous chef.

So many of these wannabe assassins are just nuts with a badly distorted view of reality. IMO, many are also trying to find their place in history by committing horrendous acts.

Democrats “increase the temperature” until something excessively violent happens and then insist that Republicans “lower the temperature” by giving Democrats everything they want…lest more violence happens.

10 Hakeem Jeffries and Jimmy Kimmel and others seem to feel completely smug, safe, and secure "waging total war" and making their "jokes" --->

Hypothetically, would they not modify their behavior if they received a visit from serious men who promised very bad things for them

if anything were to happen to DJT or his allies?

Isn't that how relativeĺy peaceful coexistence has been maintained between rival humans for centuries?

Didn't the British Admiralty , in the past, hang some Captains "in order to encourage the others"?

11 All that is true, Mama Pajama, but not something we are responsible for here, thank goodness. Doing such things as a member of law enforcement is one thing, but vigilantism is beyond the pale.

An interesting question! The back story via Britannica:
... Oswald dropped out of high school and joined the U.S. Marines. A competent sharpshooter but an indifferent marine, he began expressing pro-Soviet and politically radical views and, on a hardship plea, secured release from the corps on September 11, 1959. Nine days later he left for the Soviet Union, where he tried unsuccessfully to become a citizen.

Worked in Minsk, got married, returned to the US a year later. Became pro-Castro.
In 1963:
September - Goes to Mexico attempting to get a visa to Cuba and permission to return to the USSR.
October - returns to Dallas and gets a job at the Texas School Book Depository
November 22 - Shoots Kennedy from 6th floor of Book Depository
November 24 - Shot by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner, during a televised transfer inside the jail to an interrogation room

From a screenplay point of view, the best version has Oswald recruited in Mexico to kill Kennedy by what he thinks are Soviet agents. "Do this thing for us and you will be back in the USSR in no time." But actually, he is working for a rogue faction of a US three-letter agency. After the deed is done, Jack Ruby insures there are no loose ends to be followed.
