[Breitbart] Guy was supposed to succeed Northam before his sexual assaults derailed him
Multiple reports indicate former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D) and his wife were found dead in the early hours of Thursday morning following a murder-suicide.
The tragedy happened just after midnight in suburban Annandale, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).
The 47-year-old Democrat shot his dentist wife, Cerina Fairfax, in the basement of their residence before turning the gun on himself, according to police as cited by the NY Post.
FOX News has also reported on the incident:
7 News reports officers responded to the 8100 block of Guinevere Drive for a death investigation. Detectives confirmed they discovered a man and a woman dead inside a residence.
The report sets out the circumstances behind the deaths:
The agency’s preliminary findings indicate Justin Fairfax, 47, shot his wife, Dr. Cerina W. Fairfax, before turning the gun on himself.
Police believe the murder happened in the basement of the home and at some point after shooting his wife, Justin Fairfax ran upstairs of the home to the primary bedroom, where he shot himself. He used the same gun, but police have not recovered it yet.
The couple has two children who were home at the time of the shooting. One of them called 911.
"This has been an ongoing domestic dispute surrounding what seems to be a complicated or messy divorce," Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis recounted.
"I don’t think it’s a secret that there’s been a divorce proceedings that have been ongoing. From what I understand in this early stage, former Lieutenant Governor Fairfax was recently served some paperwork associated with an upcoming court proceeding that apparently led to this incident last night."
The apparent marriage woes came several years after Fairfax was hit with a slew of sexual assault claims while he was in office in 2019, as Breitbart News reported.
At least two women publicly accused him of sexually assaulting them.
He denied all allegations.

Now that Eric Swalwell has crashed and burned as the Democrats' front-runner for governor of California, greenie billionaire and perennial presidential candidatw Tom Steyer has been put forward as the new Favored One, according to the party's Mighty Integral.

He's been eager enough for it, running millions of dollars of television ads, often featuring young people, who call Steyer 'my man' and other cozy terms. Steyer himself mouths platitudes about 'afforability' and other Democrat shibboleths since the election of Zohran Mamdani, who used the term, and then he sometimes lays out his promise to make electricity prices go 25 percent lower, and build a million houses, which should make ... someone ... rich. But nothing else really comes out of him, other than his craving for power.
Until now; he released his party platform, and it's a doozy:
He calls for a million new units of government housing to be built, in the name of making housing 'affordable' for that lucky million, ending Proposition 13 which protects little-guy homeowners as the prices of their homes go up, lowering electrical bills by breaking up monopolies as he puts it, providing state-education from age three through two years of community college, interfering with ICE agents doing their jobs, which he can't legally do, saddl businessesw with oodles of nw green regulations guaranteed to make prices go up, not down, and institute Canada-style single-payer health care, bound to create shortages and long waiting times, as well as the already-there high costs.

This is billionaires plotting behind the scenes for a hostile takeover, which is clearly part of Democrat machine politics.
Steyer may have been the one who got the Democrats to put their machine in motion to knock out Swalwell (did he pay them off?) but it's interesting that he's not following the Democrat establishment playbook these days, which is to run as Abigail Spanberger did, making moderate statements during the campaign and then governing as a radical.
Steyer seems to be following the Mamdani playbook, which is to be as open and extremist as possible. Perhaps the Democrat machine is that radical, or considers California voters that radical that Steyer can lay out a whole round of crazy.
But it's awful stuff, and Heaven help California if this freak gets elected. He's currently the Democrat favorite who is deemed most likely to unite the fragmented Democrat vote, besting true frontrunner Steve Hilton of the Republicans.
But that hasn't happened yet. It's up to Hilton and other Republicans to drive all the ugly details about Steyer's platform into the open where voters anxious for change can rightly reject these frequently rejected policies. California deserves a lot better than the sorry candidate on offer from the Democrats.

Abolish Proposition 13? That'd be the quickest surefire way to make California UNAFFORDABLE, the exact opposite of what he says he wants. He might say he only wants to repeal it for corporations but then, there goes your job. Then he'll repeal it for homeowners too. People will be paying more for property taxes than for their mortages. And, unlike your mortgate which you might someday pay off, the taxes are forever.
But communists don't want people to own their own homes anyway. No more suburbs. No more private property. He wants everybody to live in crowded slums in the kind of cracker box apartments of which he plans to build a million.
You wanna make California schools better? Outlaw the California Teachers Association. They keep getting more money and the schools keep getting worse. In fact, abolish public schools altogether. When schools are operated by private entities on a for profit basis, test scores will improve dramatically and people who don't have kids won't have to pay for it. The way it is now, if you want a decent education for your kids, you pay to send them to a private school at the same time as you pay property taxes for the failing public schools where the tearchers try to convince boys that they are girls and girls that they are boys.
But pay no attention to what Steyer says he wants. What he really wants is power and when he gets it he will shit on all of us.
A classic example of a narcissistic sociopath, this guy is full on bat shit crazy. Even in his own TV ads, he comes across as an insufferable whack job.
I think Newsom is the worst governor California ever had but this guy would be even worse. If he gets elected people will be leaving this state in droves. I'd like to be a part of that exodus. I dunno, maybe I should stay and fight for my home. But Democrats have all the power in this state. It might well be a lost cause.

The law firm that once defended Hunter Biden against federal gun and tax indictments wants to see the pardoned former first son’s correspondence with friends or Democratic Party donors as part of a breach-of-contract case meant to recoup unpaid legal debts.
Winston & Strawn attorneys argued in a Monday court filing that the Biden scion had "engaged in substantial efforts on his own to try to get third parties, friends, and donors to cover his legal fees," which by Hunter’s own admission amount to between $15 million and $17 million.
The firm has yet to see any evidence of those communications — despite repeated requests and one of their own attorneys, Abbe Lowell, defending Hunter during the tax and gun cases in which he dodged prison time due to his dad’s mercy.
Lowell "testified" that outreach for help with the debts did occur, Winston & Strawn’s filing in Washington, DC, civil court stated.
The document also cited a passage from the book "2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America" that read: "Hunter found out the Democratic National Committee was paying President Biden’s legal fees arising from the classified documents investigation."
The younger Biden then "asked why the DNC could not pay his legal expenses too," according to authors Josh Dawsey, Isaac Arnsdorf and Tyler Pager.
The Monday filing clarified that those expenses included payments to Winston & Strawn.

At the time, Democratic Party bosses reportedly scoffed at Hunter’s request. A DNC official confirmed to The Post Wednesday that they never paid any of the then-first son’s legal bills.
It’s unclear exactly how much the younger Biden still owes the firm, though the suit identifies the amount as exceeding $50,000.
In a Nov. 6, 2025, episode of the "Wide Awake Podcast," Hunter said he was "$17 million in debt ... as it relates to my legal fees."
On a Dec. 22 episode of "The Shawn Ryan Show," he said, "Litigation sucks. I’ve been tied up in criminal and civil and in courts and got ... $14, $15 million in debt."
Hunter Biden’s new defense attorney, Barry Coburn, admitted in filings earlier this month: "Neither we nor our client know the ultimate amount owed."
"Our client is impecunious. We have not engaged a billing consultant or forensic accountant to review the bills, just as we have not engaged an e-discovery vendor. We cannot afford it," Coburn also said.
The 56-year-old Hunter Biden also now "lives abroad" — apparently with his South Africa-born wife Melissa Cohen and son Beau Biden Jr. — and is unable to even "pay his current lawyers," Coburn noted.
Still, Hunter has been on the media circuit, agreeing to a tri-city tour in California, Arizona and New Mexico later this month with the YouTuber Andrew Callaghan and sitting for other interviews.
Callaghan’s "Channel 5" show will be hosting a "Carnival Tour" and Hunter has agreed to participate in "a cage match" against President Trump’s sons — if Eric and Don Jr. are willing.
Most recently, Biden was photographed with his family — alongside his parents, Joe Biden and Jill Biden — in Santa Ynez, California, over Easter weekend, according to photos shared on Instagram last week by his sister, Ashley Biden.
The court document disclosing Biden’s current living situation was submitted in a Washington, D.C., civil court by Winston & Strawn LLP, which previously represented him in a series of criminal cases that drew intense national scrutiny over the years, including a felony gun trial in Delaware and a tax crimes prosecution in California.
According to the filings, the former first son has not paid a "substantial portion" of the fees owed to his legal team. He reportedly has limited financial resources and also cannot afford to hire specialized professionals to assist with the lawsuit, citing instances that Biden manually "hand-searched" his own emails to locate relevant documents rather than relying on outside resources.
Biden also noted during his podcast appearance that he is facing "$17 million in debt … as it relates to my legal fees."
In summer 2024, Biden was found guilty of multiple criminal offenses, including the illegal purchase of a firearm in 2018. Prosecutors proved he lied on a federal form by stating he was not using illegal drugs at a time when he was struggling with a crack cocaine addiction.
He also pleaded guilty to nine federal tax charges, including three felonies, in connection with a scheme to evade $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019.
He was ultimately pardoned by his father on all federal charges in December 2024.

Pardon me if I can't seem to work up any sympathy for the law firm. They had to know that once Joe Biden was out of office, the crime family's revenues would dry up. Hunter's artwork will no longer fetch top dollar. The lawyers should have demanded payment up front.
