[ZERO] Over the last year, the American people have awakened to the reality of truck drivers unable to speak English, operating with non-domicile CDLs, and wreaking havoc on our roadways. What had yet to gain national attention was the ownership behind these illicit trucking companies. The 60 Minutes special that aired this weekend finally changed that by exposing one of the worst “chameleon carriers” in the industry.
The CBS report laid out the crisis in stark detail. The motor carrier mentioned is a Serbian-based network that repeatedly sheds its identity—changing names and USDOT numbers—to erase thousands of safety violations and hundreds of crashes. Drivers described forced 18-hour days, ELD cheating orchestrated by dispatchers in Serbia, and paychecks that came back negative after excessive lease, insurance, and repair fees were skimmed off the top. The carrier network racked up nearly 15,000 violations and 500 accidents in just two years while hauling freight for major shippers. Yet the carrier insists it is merely a “leasing company,” not a motor carrier, and therefore bears no responsibility for the trucks or drivers operating under its trailers.
60 Minutes built a compelling case that dismantled their narrative.
What 60 Minutes likely left on the cutting-room floor is the most damning part of the story: who keeps loading these illegal carriers with freight in the first place? Who failed—or refused—to vet the motor carrier, its foreign ownership, or its forced-labor operations?
The answer points directly to freight brokers, with industry giant C.H. Robinson at the forefront. Despite the motor carrier not being a registered motor carrier with the USDOT, C.H. Robinson awarded it “Carrier of the Year” in the 1,000+ truck category for 2025. Industry sources allege that the selection process for this award involves rigorous vetting and requires final approval from upper management. Such high-level oversight strongly suggests that senior leadership at C.H. Robinson may have been directly involved in bestowing one of its most prestigious honors on a well-known chameleon carrier.
This is not merely a failure of due diligence. It reflects a pattern of willful blindness, driven by greed, that prioritizes profit margins over safety, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of America’s trucking industry.

With the horrific details of the alleged assault coming to light, Swalwell quickly leapt past other contenders to become the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee.
"With several women now coming forward with accusations of increasingly violent sex crimes, Swalwell has taken a commanding lead," said longtime Democratic strategist David Axelrod. "Swalwell was looking like Senator material after a couple of women alleged that he acted in an inappropriate and possibly criminal manner. With five women now leveling accusations of really heinous crimes, Swalwell is now the clear front-runner for President. "
Swalwell's polling surged past Harris, Newsom and Buttigieg, with oddsmakers giving him an 87% chance of securing the nomination. "Newsom is going to have to do a lot better than serial adultery if he wants to get back in this," said Axelrod. "With more women coming forward every day, this is now Swalwell's race to lose. He's got a real chokehold on the nomination."
At publishing time, Hillary Clinton had called Swalwell to ask if he needed her to "do that stuff to the women" that she did for her husband Bill.

This extraordinary feat has been achieved thanks to the success of his pioneering aerospace company SpaceX and its groundbreaking reuseable rockets, which have cut the cost of launching a satellite by more than 90 per cent.
Starlink’s parent company now accounts for 95 per cent of all spacecraft launched into orbit in the US and 50 per cent of the world total.
If this didn’t make his space business pretty much indispensable, his imposing satellite constellation’s ability to provide high-speed internet connections almost anywhere you care to mention has certainly done so.
As the company strikes ever more deals with governments, the number of satellites grows by the week.
There are now around 10,000 Starlink spacecraft up there – two-thirds of all 14,500 satellites in orbit – and he plans many, many more.
Musk, who owns 40 per cent of Starlink but 80 per cent of the voting rights, recently lodged an application with the US regulator, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), to launch a constellation of up to a million satellites – yes, a million - that will be sun-powered orbital data centres for Artificial Intelligence computing power.
Satellites are increasingly vital in fields such as navigation, climate research and earth observation but nowhere are they more critical than when it comes to communications. And the Starlink system is as user-friendly as it gets.
All a subscriber needs is a small receiver with an electronically-controlled antenna, which automatically steers toward the satellites as they pass overhead.
The portable terminals, which are about the size of a pizza box, receive signals from these satellites and transmit them to a nearby router, which supplies the broadband internet connection.
As is being demonstrated in conflicts across the globe, especially Ukraine, Starlink has given Musk – a private citizen – geopolitical powers that many agree are historically unprecedented.
Deploying compute nodes within a clustered architecture offers a highly modular and performance-oriented framework for running demanding workloads. Each node can be configured with specialized hardware, such as NVMe storage for high-throughput data access, DDR5 memory for increased bandwidth, or GPUs for accelerated parallel processing, tailored to the application it will serve. This customization allows organizations to fine-tune infrastructure for specific needs rather than relying on generic hardware profiles.
Modern compute nodes, equipped with low-latency storage and high-speed memory, reduce bottlenecks in data movement and ensure fast execution of I/O-intensive operations. High-speed interconnects between nodes enable low-latency communication across the cluster, which is essential for real-time analytics, scientific computing, and other time-sensitive workloads.
By distributing processing and memory resources across many compute nodes, clusters can handle data sets that far exceed the capacity of a single machine while maintaining consistent performance. GPU-enabled nodes can be dedicated to tasks such as model training or simulation, improving efficiency across the cluster and freeing up CPU-only nodes for general-purpose tasks.
The clustered approach also provides resilience and flexibility. Workloads can be redistributed if a node fails, and hardware components can be upgraded or replaced on a per-node basis without disrupting the entire system. This adaptability makes clustered compute environments ideal for organizations that need to scale and evolve quickly.

Here in southern California, I know people who were early and enthusiastic Tesla customers. They thought they were being so green, so responsible, so innovative. But then Musk went to work for Trump with DOGE. Now he might as well be Lex Luther.
I saw a bumper sticker on one these Teslas that said, "I bought it before I knew he was crazy."
Elon Musk started a successful car company and a satellite communications company and became a billionaire, arguably the richest man in the world. At a time when America is $40 trillion in debt, he tried to reduce frivolous and fraudulent spending. It's no good asking these people what's so bad about that or what he ever did to them. He got that Trump stain on him and, to these people, that's all that matters.
