This post will most certainly not be deeply analytical, despite the fact that Obama's constant claims of victimhood do reveal something about the deep pathologies of the left and their obsession with claiming victimhood points.
My brain is too fried for that after this week of news. I just want to revel in the sheer preposterousness of Obama's making this claim.
First and most obviously, there are few people on earth so privileged as Michelle Obama, and few people in the public eye who whine so much about how hard her life has been as she.

Back in October, several survivors of the U.K.'s "grooming gangs" quit the inquiry, accusing the Labour Party of covering up what really happened. Last month, Starmer declared violence against women and girls a "national emergency" (but conveniently left out where that violence was coming from). Lawyers for these migrants colonists blame the U.K., saying their clients are just unfamiliar with a culture where "women are free and deemed equal to men."
The nation now leads the world in rapes per capita.

That crazy thing that leftists keep denying is a problem happened again. A Moslem "asylum seeker" in the UK raped a 12-year-old girl, and even proudly photographed his pedophilic assault.
Two different Moslem men targeted the maiden of tender years, based on evidence now being exposed in a trial. CCTV footage apparently showed the girl telling one of the criminals she was 19, but the girl says she told the rapist her true age of 12, too. She recalled how 23-year-old Ahmad Mulakhil kidnapped her, and despite her protests and fear, repeatedly raped her, taking photographs of his attack and laughing at her. She also accuses him of threatening to kill her family, per The Times.
Mulakhil has admitted it to engaging in oral sex with the girl, which indeed is impossible to deny based on DNA evidence, but insanely claims that she initiated it, according to the outlet. His partner-in-crime Mohammad Kabir is still denying the charges of attempting to abduct the girl and strangling her. Kabir had put his hands around the girl’s throat when trying to force her to come with him.
While the 12-year-old girl did succeed in resisting Kabir, his friend Mulakhil successfully lured her to a secluded area. According to the victim, she met Mulakhil in a housing estate after running from his friend. "We got behind a shed thing. He was saying that he liked me. I said, ’I don’t like you. I’m young. I’m a kid’," the girl remembered. "He had a translator on his phone. He was acting weird. He put his hands on me and I told him to stop. He was trying to strip my clothes off. He said nothing. He was laughing."
As he raped her, Mulakhil "was saying he was going to kill my family. I was scared. He took photos. It felt weird. Why was he taking pictures of that?" the girl asked. When finally found in a park afterwards, she exhibited signs of great fear and kept asking where "he" was. The trial is ongoing and there is yet to be a verdict.
In European countries with large influxes of Moslem immigrants colonists, rape and sexual assault rates spike dramatically. Newsrael alleges that Moslems have raped more European women than Rwandan and Yugoslavian women during the conflicts in those nations. The European Conservative reported: "Germany, one of the countries hardest hit by the 2015 migration crisis, reported 11,500 rape cases in 2022, with an alarming 40% of perpetrators of Syrian, Afghan, or Iraqi origin." In the UK, most sexual crimes do not result in charges.

[IsraelTimes] Turkey is not going to be able to buy US F-35 strike fighters, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee says, despite what US President Donald Trump declared earlier this month.
In an interview with Channel 12, Huckabee explains that Israel and Turkey are not on equal footing as US allies.
“Anyone to think that there’s an equality here, that it’s friend A, friend B, it’s not like that at all,” he says.
“[Turkey] is not going to get them,” he says. “It has to go to the Senate, and it’s not likely to happen. And also, Turkey, by law, would not be able to get them unless they made major changes in the hardware that they have from Russia.”
The ambassador also says that Turkey and Qatar, whose presence on the Gaza Executive Board has concerned Israel, will not have a role in governing the Strip, but rather the hope is that they can help force Hamas to disarm.

“The president said they’re going to disarm; they’re not going to have any role in Gaza,” he says. “How that happens, when it happens, and who’s going to do it? There are some question marks as to the answers to those. I’m convinced that all of those things will happen.”
“You have every Arab country in the world to sign the agreement, saying this is going to happen. Hamas signed the agreement,” he adds. “I don’t trust Hamas to do anything, but I trust the rest of the world to say to Hamas, you signed it. You’re on the line for it. If you don’t fulfill it, the whole world is going to rise up and take you down.”
According to Huckabee, while Israel might have a role in this scenario, Hamas’s disarmament will not be left solely to Israel.
“It’ll be up to everybody,” he says.

[PJMedia] House Republicans just dropped what might be the most important piece of legislation of our lifetimes. The Make Elections Great Again (MEGA) Act hit the floor on Thursday, and it's a full-throttle effort to secure elections in ways Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy,white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... have long fought against.
For starters, the MEGA Act would require a photo ID to vote and mandate proof of citizenship to register nationwide. The bill also directly targets practices that became major flashpoints in 2020 that undermined confidence in the 2020 election. This legislation mandates that mail-in ballots must arrive by the close of polls on Election Day to be counted, with one exception for military personnel overseas. Several states currently allow ballots postmarked by Election Day to be accepted later, which delays results in vote-by-mail-heavy states like Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,.
That would end under this bill.
The bill also mandates paper ballots for all federal elections to allow for auditing, stricter guidelines for maintaining voter rolls to prevent fraudulent votes by dead or otherwise ineligible voters, and a ban on ballot harvesting. Under the law, only immediate family members or caregivers could collect and deliver completed ballots. Anyone else handling mail ballots would be capped at four at a time. That closes a loophole that has long been exploited for fraud.
The MEGA Act would bar Federal agencies from using taxpayer money to promote voter registration. That's a direct shot at Biden's 2021 executive order directing agencies to help people register, which Republicans labeled "BidenBucks." The proposal also outlaws ranked-choice voting in federal races, a system Maine and Alaska use statewide, and which various local jurisdictions have adopted.
"Americans should be confident their elections are being run with integrity — including commonsense voter ID requirements, clean voter rolls, and citizenship verification," House Administration Committee Chair Bryan Steil said in a statement. He argued the changes "will improve voter confidence, bolster election integrity, and make it easy to vote, but hard to cheat."
The House bill was introduced one day after Senate Majority Leader John Thune said the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act would come to the Senate floor "at some point." Thune noted senators are working to add language ensuring only residents can actually cast ballots, not just register.
Conservative election reform groups are rallying behind the MEGA Act.
"I've spent the last decade registering voters across the country and empowering Americans to vote. Without fair elections, we aren't a free nation," Scott Presler, founder of Early Vote Action, said. "Thank you to Chairman Steil for his leadership on comprehensive election reform. Let's make elections great again!"
Jason Snead of Honest Elections Project Action, J. Christian Adams of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, and Justin Riemer of Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections also backed the bill. This isn't just a Republican pipe dream anymore. It's moving, and the battle lines are drawn.
While all this sounds great and necessary, here’s the rub: Democrats will never support this bill.
I don’t see any issue getting this to pass in the House. But saying that getting this bill through the U.S. Senate will be a Herculean task is an understatement. Democrats, who rely on fraud and insecure elections for power, aren’t going to vote for this, and I don’t see how it will ever overcome a filibuster in the U.S. Senate. Hopefully, Senate Republicans have some tricks up their sleeves, because I genuinely think that this is our moment to make elections secure again. Remember, under Biden, Democrats nearly succeeded in overhauling elections to make them less secure. I hope Republicans can pull this off.
[IsraelTimes] Gal Hirsch, the government hostage pointman, tells The Times of Israel that public pressure on Israel from the Biden administration “screwed up” negotiations and gave Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar “exactly what he wanted.”
He also says that he was shocked that some Israeli demonstrations “amplified” Hamas propaganda during talks.
Me, too.
“The night I heard about the arms embargo — or ‘don’t you dare enter Rafah’, all those pressures — I had a call with a very senior American official while driving in the middle of the night from Jerusalem down here [to Bnei Brak],” Hirsch says.
“It was a very tough call. I told him, bluntly — I don’t usually speak this way —what are you doing? You have American hostages there — Israeli-American citizens. Do you understand you’re screwing up the negotiations? You’re giving Sinwar exactly what he wants. From his perspective, any daylight advances his political strategy from the October 7 attack to generate political achievements — you are doing that now.”
He says that Hamas “exploited the daylight between us and the US, the UN’s activity against us, Security Council moves against us, European states’ activity against us, the embargo against us.”
Hamas, says Hirsch, “acted to create a rift in Israeli society through very effective propaganda — and by creating the reverse picture — although they were stalling and not wanting to progress in negotiations and torpedoing deals, they pinned responsibility on us, that we were torpedoing negotiations and deals.”
The terror group, he argues, “called the Israeli public to demonstrations. Every Saturday afternoon, a video of a hostage — calling for protests: go out into the streets.”
“The way Hamas messages were received here in Israel and amplified was shocking,” says Hirsch.
He says that Sinwar’s strategy in talks was to drag them out for 10 years. “All the stories that we didn’t want to advance a deal — those are fairy tales and lies. The side that constantly canceled and delayed a deal within a 10-year negotiation strategy was Hamas. The change came when he was eliminated and Nasrallah was eliminated; the Iranian axis suffered; the Syrian army was destroyed; the Houthis were hit; the Iranians got the hint; in Beirut, we carried out effective actions; and we were in a deep maneuver inside Gaza.”
“At that stage, we began to understand Hamas was shifting toward a deal because it understood it had nothing to build on,” says Hirsch. “Until then, Hamas’s strategy was to exploit the political fallout of October 7 to derive political gains.”
Hirsch argues that the failed September 2025 strike on Hamas leaders in Doha was, in hindsight, a key factor in forcing Hamas to make a deal: “It’s clear to all of us that the fact Hamas understood it wasn’t immune anywhere, and the mediators understood Israel’s long arm reached everywhere, had a clear effect on achieving the deal and the return of everyone.”
Hirsch tells The Times of Israel that he knows that releasing terrorists for hostages will cost Israelis their lives in the future, but it still must be done.

Now that leftist Signal chat groups that organize anti-ICE protests have been “infiltrated,” progressives are now turning to ham/amatuer radio.
My gut level reaction would be arranging for a few dozen pagers from the Israel Defense Forces. I gather they have a few extra that they're not going to use. OK, perhaps not. The calmer half of me, which usually wins out, comes up with several points, though, that are worth considering.
The reference to the IDF does bring to mind a parallel. Hezbollah tried using the same UV-5R units as she displays on the video. Guess who tapped into the network before the echo died from the first transmission. Anyone who thinks the anti-ICE crowd is going to fare any better is fooling himself.
Let's get specific: The radio she's talking about. and displaying, is, as I say, a fairly common Baofeng UV-5R. It's a dual band unit, able to run on both VHF and UHF frequencies. She's correct, the units are cheap and fairly plentiful.You can pick them up for $30 or $40 on Amazon. I own a few myself.
However... Notice that the one she's holding doesn't have an antenna on it. It's not going to work that way. I wonder if she even knows that. Well, admittedly, it would send a smoke signal (poof!), but that's all. Technology is obviously not a strong point in her bag of tricks.
Which, by the way, presents another roadblock to the plan. While the things can be programmable on the fly from the front panel, it's not a chore for the uninitiated. Indeed, I know a few hams who are above their level trying to program those things without a computer hookup. For the people trying to keep ICE from doing their job? Trust me when I tell ya, it ain't gonna happen.
Notice also, it is illegal to transmit on them unless you have a ham radio license. I suppose that since they're encouraging illegal activity to begin with, breaking the law as regards using the radios won't be considered a big deal. Until they get busted. Here are the Federal regs that apply (and I'm quite sure I'm not listing them all):
Regs at link. No doubt they mean something to you legal and law enforcement types. I accept that not getting a ham license would be A Bad Thing.
Unlike the internet-based Signal chat spaces they were using previously, anyone with a similar radio can hear the traffic. It's not encrypted. And certainly that UV-5R doesn't support encryption at the $30 price point.
It is also illegal to transmit information on law enforcement activities unless you are a part of that operation. That’s both a federal and state law.
So now they not only have to deal with ICE and the FBI, but now the FCC as well? LOL. Believe me, that's not a smart move.

...back at the wine tasting, Vince was about to start on his third quart... perhaps a larger threat is that ham operators tend to be very protective of their turf. Within the ham bands, there's a whole host of operators, who will be quite willing to bring their equipment and skills to bear to trace such illegal signals for the feds. As for raw numbers, Minnesota as of today has about 11,000 licensed hams, and a number of ham radio clubs, mostly centered in Minneapolis.
Let's examine how this might be a problem for our Stop ICE mobs:
There are large groups of hams across the country that do something called "Fox Hunting"... which is a ham radio sport of some antiquity. At it's most basic, it's hunting down the source of a weak signal, using specialized equipment. It's an activity I've personally participated in several times. Got rather good at it, too. Won such contests several times, over the years. Probably 95% of licensed ham operators are conservatives. Trust me when I tell you, that's not going to go down well for the rioters. And that's leaving aside the ability of the FCC in signal tracking.
I suspect that even non-techies can see how this is going to work out.
