In a significant breakthrough, intelligence has confirmed the killing of JULAIBIB, a top ISWAP commander operating within the Gujba axis of the Timbuktu Triangle, during an encounter around Kimba, Damboa LGA of Borno State, on 30 January 2026.

The 74-year-old branded his arrest "an attack on free speech" in a statement the foundation sent to media outlets, which noted he had been taken to a south London cop shoppe.
"The police claimed the word intifada is unlawful. The word intifada is not a crime in law. The police are engaged in overreach by making it an arrestable offence," the statement said.
"This is part of a dangerous trend to increasingly restrict and criminalize peaceful protests," it added.
Over the past year, the British government has taken tougher action against pro-Paleostinian protests and organizations, and last month, the Met Police said that "Globalize the intifada" and other slogans and phrases that it said "concerned" members of the Jewish community would be banned from protests.
The UK also proscribed the Paleostine Action activist group as a terrorist organization last year, after some of its members broke into a military base and vandalized several aircraft, causing an estimated £7 million ($9.3 million) of damage.
The move made being a member of the group or supporting it a serious criminal offense punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
Paleostine Action was founded in 2020 and gained prominence with protests targeting Israeli defense companies and British firms linked to them. It stepped up its actions during the Gaza war, sparked by the Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... massacre in Israel on October 7, 2023.
Since the group was proscribed, more than 2,700 people have been arrested for holding signs in support of the organization, according to Amnesty International UK. Two more were arrested at Saturday’s protest in London.
The government has been criticized for taking too broad a view of the definition of what constitutes "terrorism," since Paleostine Action claimed not to have directly killed or injured anyone in its actions. Footage shown in court last year showed one of its members striking an officer on the back with a sledgehammer as she knelt on the floor during the break-in, fracturing her lumbar spine.
The government has argued that actions "can constitute terrorism if it involves serious damage to property even if it does not involve violence against any person or endanger life."
The moves came after Jewish groups had been calling for tougher action over the language used at pro-Paleostinian and anti-Israel protests, while the Community Security Trust (CST), which works to provide security for British Jews, says antisemitic incidents have been soaring in Britannia.

I was gonna do one about the top 10 commenters but articles just disappear in database errors so it's kind of a waste because these things take time to compose and compile, plus you have to ask the right prompts to get a good answer because bots tend to ramble. Then you have to rephrase and try a better prompt and repeat this a few times. They're only as good as their training data. All they do is predict the next token.

Actually, especially not Fred and me — if someone else submits the same thing, I generally give them preference unless inlines are involved, because we have enough already in the archives. Or you can do as Skidmark does, and add a link to a comment in a thread that matches the topic. No doubt you’ll have noted that he puts about three times as many links in comments than he does as posted articles

[PJMedia] News reports of this arrest are sparse, yet two days ago, French police arrested 20-year-old feminist activist Yona Faedda for conducting an interview on the rise of radical Islam in France, while maintaining her position that this rise poses a threat to women.
According to the French newspaper Le Progrès, Faedda is a member of the Nemesis collective, an activist group that started in 2019 in France. It’s named after the Greek goddess of revenge, and while its focus is on feminist issues, the group has been particularly vocal about the wave of Islamic immigration and its impact on the French culture, its people, and particularly, its women.

Le Progrès reported that on Sunday, Faedda was part of a group of roughly 12 young women who were conducting on-street interviews with passersby on the streets of Lons-le-Saunier. She was asking those who consented to an interview questions about Islamism.
Apparently, one interviewee changed her mind about whether she wanted to participate in the interview after she had already been recorded answering some of Faedda’s questions. She requested that Faedda’s group delete her comments from the recording equipment. She then went to the police to report this.
It’s not clear from published accounts the nature of what the woman said or whether Faedda refused to delete the recordings or not.
Police then came and arrested Faedda on the grounds that she didn’t have prior permission to conduct on-street interviews in that location. While we’re relying on the English translation of the newspaper report, in that translation, Le Progrès referred to Faedda’s act of interviewing as a “demonstration” and not as a journalistic activity.
French law regarding recording people in public says that filming in public places is generally allowed, but publishing images and recordings of people usually requires consent.
The founders of the Nemesis collective formed the group as a response to what Le Progrès described as “the wave of sexual assaults perpetrated on New Year's Eve 2016, mainly in Cologne and Hamburg, and blamed on groups of foreign nationals against German women.”
The collective draws a distinction between itself and other feminist activist groups because it says those groups put "leftist ideology” ahead of the interests of women.
Nemesis also recently organized a public demonstration called “No Hijab Day” in support of the women of Iran.

Mayor Karen Bass later confirmed that five people were arrested during the dramatic confrontation. The LAPD told Daily Mail on Saturday afternoon that the arrests increased to eight, six for failure to disperse, one for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, and one for violating curfew.
Bass urged protesters in the city to remain peaceful during a press conference on Friday, adding that violence was 'exactly what I believe this administration wants to see happen.'

Another protester, Phil Swift, 22, told the publication that he was at the front of the crowd when LAPD officers sprayed tear gas directly into his eyes.
Bass doubled down on her message to refrain from violence later in the evening, writing on X: 'Peaceful protest is a constitutional right.
'I urge Angelenos to exercise that right safely and not give this administration an excuse to escalate. Los Angeles stands together.'
Democratic Representative Maxine Waters had joined the demonstration earlier in the evening, defending the protesters from officers.
'What I see here at the detention center are people exercising their constitutional rights,' Waters said, as reported by local Fox affiliate, Fox 11.
'And of course, they’re now trying to tear gas everybody. It’s in the air, but people are not moving.'
Before the chaos unfolded in front of a federal prison, protesters demonstrated peacefully throughout the day across Los Angeles. The demonstrators were part of a nationwide ICE Out initiative to oppose federal immigration raids.

"The terror organizations in the Strip systematically violate international law, while brutally exploiting civilian institutions and operating in the presence of the local population," the military said in a statement.
Hamas’s civil defense agency said it had retrieved the bodies of 32 people killed in seven different locations since Saturday morning. Hamas authorities claimed that around a quarter of those killed were children, about a third were women, one was an elderly man and five were officers in the Hamas-run police force.
The Hamas-run health ministry reported another 30 people maimed, some at death's door.
The tolls could not be independently verified, and Israel did not release its own casualty figures.
Among the reported strikes was an attack on the Sheikh Radwan cop shoppe in Gaza City, which Hamas’s interior ministry said was hit Saturday morning. Paleostinian media put the corpse count from the cop shoppe at 16, including officers and detainees.

Hamas accused Israel of carrying out a "blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement," claiming that 12 people killed in overnight strikes included six children, and that seven of the dead belonged to a single family sheltering in a displaced peoples’ camp in Khan Younis.
According to the military, the strikes were launched after eight button men emerged from a tunnel in southern Gaza’s Rafah on Friday. The IDF said at the time that three of the button men were killed in strikes and a fourth, described as a key Hamas commander, was captured.
The army said the incident in Rafah constituted a breach of the ceasefire.
[IsraelTimes] Turkish authorities have blocked a convoy carrying aid to Kobane, a predominantly Kurdish town in northern Syria encircled by the Syrian army, NGOs and a Turkish MP say.
They say the aid was blocked before it reached the Turkey-Syria border, despite an agreement announced on Friday between the Syrian government and the country’s Kurdish minority to gradually integrate the Kurds’ military and civilian institutions into the state.
Twenty-five trucks containing water, milk, baby formula and blankets collected in Diyarbakir, the main city in Turkey’s predominantly Kurdish southeast, “were prevented from crossing the border,” says the Diyarbakir Solidarity and Protection Platform, which organized the aid campaign.
“Blocking humanitarian aid trucks carrying basic necessities is unacceptable, both from the point of view of humanitarian law and from the point of view of moral responsibility,” says the platform, which brings together several NGOs.
Earlier this week, residents of Kobane told AFP they were running out of food, water and electricity because the city was overwhelmed with people fleeing the advance of the Syrian army.
Kurdish forces accused the Syrian army of imposing a siege on Kobane, also known as Ain al-Arab in Arabic.

Israel has kept up its strikes mainly on south and east Lebanon, despite a ceasefire reached in November 2024 and despite the Lebanese army announcing earlier this month the completion of Hezbollah's disarmament south of the Litani River.
