The three soldiers injured in the clash were confirmed to be members of the attacking force, officials said. One of the soldiers detained earlier was also reported to have been injured during the incident.
The confrontation triggered a serious security scare in Garowe, unfolding in a busy area near the city square where the police base is located. Residents said gunfire erupted as civilians and vehicles were passing through the area, heightening fears of wider violence.
Puntland security authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident.
In a separate statement, representatives of the Duufaan Brigade claimed that one of their soldiers was injured and mistreated while in jug. They warned that they would take further action if police failed to provide what they described as a satisfactory explanation.
The clash comes at a sensitive time for Puntland, as large numbers of troops have returned to urban areas after nearly a year of intense fighting against ISIS in the Calmiskaad mountains. Killing white farmers or doing naval exercises with a homicidal regime that is also massacring its own people. Which makes me madder? Frankly, I can’t believe that the Iranian navy has assets anywhere but Hormuz at the moment. I am delighted that they have ships forward deployed. I would make them pay dollars for food and gas. Their officers may bug out at some point, though.

There's a difference between sterilization and IUD.
Only if the IUD is removed while the woman is still of childbearing years, Grom, and the thing didn’t damage her so badly that she was unable to bear children. In this case the Danish government intended it as sterilization, and as most of the victims were never informed, even those not damaged by having an adult-sized device inserted in a child-sized uterus were not aware that they needed to ask a doctor to take it out.

This is a little misleading. The current indigenous people of Greenland (the Inuit) are descendants of the Thule people who came from North America, with their main migration to Greenland occurring around the 13th century (1200s AD) - right around the time the Scandinavian (one might even say Danish) population was starting to die out. That process ended around 1450; though their peak population was probably never more than 2,000 people.
But before both of them there were several different vanished populations of peoples: the Saqqaq and the Dorset. The theory is that the Dorset polished off the Saqqaq, and were in turn finished off by the Inuit and Scandinavians. The latter weren't as well adapted to the environment as the former and evacuated by the Europe due to climate change. Then three centuries later they came back and colonized all over again.
So the Danish have as good a claim to Greenland as anyone. As do the Inuit. Not that any of this excuses what the Danish did to the Inuit between 1966 and 1992 under the leadership of both left and right wing parties.
