[NYP] Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz pushed back against the ever-growing fraud allegations levied against him in the disastrous aftermath of a viral video where an independent journalist cracked open a crucial part of the alleged Somali aid scheme.
A spokesperson for Walz, a Democrat who frequently provokes President Trump’s ire, addressed a bombshell video posted by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley.
"The governor has worked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action. He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed," the spokesperson told Fox News.

I have an idea: we put together a bureau at the federal level that investigates corruption. They can have local field offices to stay on top of things so corruption like this can never get out of control. Just spitballing.

Chris, I am notoriously sarcastic. My point is that the FBI will now declare that they are on this and start a bunch of activity in Minnesota even though they have known about this and done nothing about it for political reasons. Their goal will be to focus national attention on Minnesota although Columbus, z Ohio is also an epicenter of the same activity. Jon Husted and Jim Jordan are Ohio politicians currently trying to play up the Minnesota angle. That play won’t work. Neither will Patel’s.

the FBI began investigating the 'feeding out future' fraud in 2020; by 2022 people had been indicted
the State and Hennepin County had investigated and prosecuted day care and other fraud in 2014 or so (walz was elected in 2018)
