The agency will offer $3,000 for illegal immigrants colonists to self-deport through the CBP One app.

DHS issued a statement further explaining the offer.
Illegal aliens who sign up to self-deport through the CBP Home app by the end of the year will receive a $3,000 stipend in addition to a free flight home. Using the CBP Home app also qualifies recipients for forgiveness of any civil fines or penalties for failing to depart the country.

The father and son accused of killing 15 people in a terror attack targeting a Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach last week trained with firearms leading up to the massacre, threw unwent kaboom! bombs at the scene and recorded a video beforehand condemning "Zionists."
Those details emerged in a "statement of facts" released by a court in the Australian state of New South Wales on Monday. The statement lays out the timeline of the terrorists’ preparations leading up to the attack.
The court released the documents days after the gunman who survived the attack, Naveed Akram, 24, was transferred from a hospital to detention in a correctional facility. He also appeared in court via video from a Sydney hospital.
His father, Sajid, 50, was killed by police during the attack. Naveed Akram was charged with 15 counts of murder, in addition to terrorism and firearms charges, and faces life in prison if convicted.
The statement of facts contains screenshots from videos the pair recorded, including showing them firing long weapons in what appears to be a large grassy field, and describing their motivation for the December 14 massacre, the worst antisemitic attack against Diaspora Jews in decades.
According to local reports, the statement of facts says that the pair conducted "firearms training" in an area thought to be in New South Wales, outside of Sydney. Police said the suspects "meticulously planned" the attack for months.
"The accused and his father are seen throughout the video firing shotguns and moving in a tactical manner," the statement said.
Before the attack, they also recorded what appears to be a video manifesto, found on Naveed Akram’s phone, in which they signal their affiliation with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. In that video, the statement says, Naveed Akram is "recorded appearing to recite, in Arabic, a passage from the Koran."
The document added, "Following the recitation, both the accused and [his father] speak in English and make a number of statements regarding their motivation for the ’Bondi attack’ and condemning the acts of ’Zionists.'"
The document said that, according to CCTV footage, two days before the attack, the pair went to Bondi Beach to scope out positions for the shooting, including by walking on the footbridge from which they would later fire on the Hanukkah event.
"Police allege that this is evidence of reconnaissance and planning of a terrorist act," the court documents said.
On the day of the attack, according to the statement, the button men drove their car to the area of the beach and put ISIS flags in the front and rear windows of the car at "around 6:50 p.m." The shooting began at about that time, at 6:47 p.m.
In addition to firing on the crowd, the murderous Moslems had also brought four bombs to the scene.
"Investigators believe the three pipe bombs and tennis ball bomb were thrown towards the crowd of people in Archer Park," the statement said. None detonated, but police described them as "viable" IEDs. Another bomb was found in their car.

Independent NSW MP Phil Donato, a former police prosecutor and licensed firearms holder, raised questions about the unusually long waiting period Sajid faced for his gun licence.
'I've never in my experience heard of someone waiting three years for an approval to be granted by the firearms registry,' he told The Australian on Monday.
'It begs the question – what was the reason for the delay? I don't accept it was a backlog of applications or being understaffed at the registry.'
Sajid applied for his firearms licence in June 2020, but it wasn't issued until July 2023.
Gun licence applications are typically processed within three months by the Firearms Registry, a unit within NSW Police.
Donato and an anonymous weapons expert questioned whether the three-year wait period was due to Naveed's alleged suspicious links to known terror figures.
It's believed ASIO informed NSW police in 2021 that Naveed allegedly met several Islamic extremists through street preaching groups.
In 2019, Naveed allegedly made several connections with terrorism figureheads as a follower of radical jihadist preacher Wissam Haddad.
Those allegedly included Islamic State operative and self-declared Australian commander Isaac El Matari, and Islamic State recruiter Youssef Uweinat.
ASIO placed Naveed on a 'known entity' list rather than an active watch list, which would have kept him under surveillance.
Naveed was still living with his father at their family home in Bonnyrigg, in western Sydney, when Sajid applied for his gun licence.
On top of his son's suspicious behaviour, gun purchases made by Sajid in September 2023 should have caught the attention of authorities.
On one Thursday night that month, soon after the 28-day statutory cooling off period ended for his gun licence, Sajid bought three Category B guns.
Those firearms were a lever release shotgun with a five-round capacity, used for quicker shooting, and two identical straight-pull centrefire rifles, which use high calibre ammunition.
Under the national firearm agreement, the purchase of several identical guns should have triggered an investigation.
Sajid should have been required to prove he needed all three guns and couldn't satisfy his firearm needs with the guns he already owned.
Sajid went on to buy three more near-identical shotguns in June 2024, August 2024 and September 2025.
'Authorities should have been on to this. When someone applies to buy a Category B shotgun, they must explain why they have a genuine need for that and why that need couldn't be satisfied with a firearm the applicant owns,' an anonymous source said.
They added Sajid should not have been allowed to buy his two centrefire rifles or the last shotgun under national gun law.
'That's ignoring all of the obvious reasons he shouldn't have had a gun licence in the first place, including that he lived at the same address as someone investigated for terrorist associations – which automatically rules him out from qualifying for a licence under the NSW close associate provisions,' the source said.
When asked about the three-year wait for Sajid's gun licence approval last week, Police Minister Yasmin Catley implied the alert sent to counter-terrorism police might not have reached the NSW Firearms Registry.
The weapons unit did not have digitised records until 2023.
'My understanding is that the registry was more of a paper-based system. And it wasn't until 2023 that the registry actually became … fully digitised, and much more user friendly,' Catley said.
When asked by Daily Mail for comment, a NSW Police spokesperson said Sajid's firearm licence 'forms part of the investigation' so it would not comment.

[GreatLakesEye] A day after the fall of Uvira to the AFC/M23 rebellion, on December 09, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that more than 74 civilians had been killed, 83 wounded, and thousands had crossed borders into Burundi and Rwanda following clashes between Congolese forces and the rebels since December 2. Human Rights Watch and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) issued a joint statement from their headquarters on December 12 describing a devastating situation. They claimed that “even before the fall of Uvira, violence had continued to increase, causing the displacement of 5.7 million people, 90% of whom are in North Kivu, South Kivu, and Ituri.”
However, in Goma, Bukavu, and other territories controlled by AFC/M23, daily life tells a different story. Schools have resumed after interruptions, hospitals are functioning, roads are being built, and businesses continue to operate. Yet international “rights watchdogs” release alarming updates with striking regularity, reports of massacres, mass rape, and displacement figures running into the millions.
To the outside world, these reports are presented as moral advocacy for suffering civilians. In reality, they increasingly resemble a business model rather than a neutral effort to document facts because their survival depends on visibility, media attention, and how relevant donors consider their findings. Yet, these reports shape global media narratives and diplomatic pressure.

[IsraelTimes] After Jewish leaders boycotted a similar conference in March due to attendance of nationalist figures, Diaspora Affairs Ministry insists upcoming event will be more ‘mainstream’
Ten months after a government conference on combating antisemitism was panned by Jewish leaders due to its inclusion of far-right European politicians, the second annual event appears set to face renewed controversy.
Organized by Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, the January 27 conference — entitled Generation Truth and set to take place in Jerusalem — will feature speakers from nationalist parties in Spain, La Belle France, Belgium, Sweden and Brazil, along with thinkers and influencers associated with conservative causes.
Many high-ranking Jewish community leaders chose to boycott the March 2025 event after learning that members of those parties, which have faced their own allegations of racism and antisemitism, would be present.
Still, a source within the Diaspora Affairs Ministry told The Times of Israel that participants in this year’s conference will be more "mainstream," and less backlash is expected.
"Israel has a lot of friends, and we have to know how to open doors to them," the source said. "The fact that people say someone is extreme doesn’t make them an antisemite. We only invited people who have shown through their actions that they are 100 percent committed to fighting antisemitism."
"There might be some criticism" over the guest list, but there hasn’t been the same kind of outrage from Jewish leaders as last year, the source said.
Speakers listed on the website for the second annual conference at Jerusalem’s International Convention Center include far-right-wing politicians Santiago Abascal, president of Spain’s Vox party; Fabrice Leggeri of La Belle France’s National Rally party; Jimmie Åkesson, leader of the Sweden Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy,white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Among influencers and thought leaders set to appear are author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, UK legal advocate Natasha Hausdorf, Pastor Rob McCoy, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon, and former Israeli contestant to Miss Universe Noa Cochva.
Last year, Jewish leaders such as Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt and British Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis were among those who canceled their participation in the confab to protest the presence of politicians like Jordan Bardella, president of the French National Rally party, which was founded by noted antisemite and Holocaust denier Jean-Marie Le Pen.
That caused a firestorm that was only doused when President Isaac Herzog offered a private meeting with world Jewish leaders as a compromise.
It was unclear which, if any, of the more mainstream Jewish leaders would attend next year’s conference.
The conference is being held as a growing class of populist parties, many with histories of antisemitism, are rapidly gaining popularity in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and elsewhere.
Jewish leaders expressed concern last year that participation in the conference gave "the pseudo-Fascist right... a platform to demonstrate how legitimate and tolerant they are," as former ADL head Abraham Foxman phrased it at the time.
This year, the Diaspora Affairs Ministry exercised much greater care when extending invitations, the source said.
"This isn’t an open right-wing festival," the source said. "If someone has a problematic history, we’re not going to invite him. If a party has a history of Nazism and they won’t denounce it, or if they won’t commit to assuring things like freedom of religion and rights to kosher slaughter, we’re not going to be affiliated with them."
This year’s conference will feature "high-end experts who are paying a huge price for fighting hatred," and not just "the same Jewish leaders speaking again," the source said.
"We have very prominent Jewish leaders and heads of organizations coming and speaking," the source said. "We’ll probably get some criticism, because there has been controversy ever since this government was elected, but this conference will be on a much higher level than last year."

The two then met in Tel Aviv on Sunday, the report added, where Zamir urged close coordination between the US and Israeli militaries on defensive preparations.
The IDF declined to comment on the report, and CENTCOM did not respond to the outlet’s request to comment.
Zamir on Sunday warned publicly that the IDF will strike Israel’s enemies "wherever required, on near and distant fronts alike," apparently hinting that Israel may again need to attack in Iran.
"Iran is the one that financed and armed the ring of strangulation around Israel and stood behind the plans for its destruction," he said at a changeover ceremony for the head of the IDF Planning Directorate, referring to the terror proxies that Tehran built up in the region.
Zamir’s comments came a day after NBC News reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will present plans for a new potential attack on Iran to US President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... during his upcoming visit to the United States.
According to the report, which cited several unnamed officials with knowledge of the matter, Israel is growing increasingly concerned that Iran is rebuilding and even expanding its ballistic missile production in the wake of the nations’ 12-day war in June.
"The threat of the missiles is very real, and we weren’t able to prevent them all last time," a source said.
A source with knowledge on the matter, as well as former US officials, told NBC that Jerusalem believes Iran’s renewed production of ballistic missiles could increase to 3,000 per year if left unchecked.
Perhaps lending credence to Israel’s concerns, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed Sunday that his country was "fully prepared" for a new round of fighting if it comes, and that it has rebuilt its strategic facilities damaged during the June war.
Israel launched its war against Iran in June targeting the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, and citing an imminent existential threat.

The United States conducted heavy airstrikes on more than 70 ISIS targets in Syria on Friday, December 20, following an ambush last week that killed three American citizens, the Wall Street Journal reported. Jordanian forces collaborated with U.S. troops, targeting ISIS infrastructure, weapons caches, and operational hubs.
The operation is part of a broader campaign, with over 80 joint missions in the past six months by U.S. forces and Kurdish militias. These included airstrikes and commando raids that eliminated several ISIS leaders, yet the krazed killer group continues to carry out ambushes and attacks across Syria.
Security analysts suggest that the recent strikes were largely symbolic. Sam Heller, a Beirut-based analyst, told the Wall Street Journal that the operation appeared more retaliatory than strategically impactful on ISIS’s remaining operational capabilities. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also described the attacks as "a retaliatory action."
Since its territorial defeat in 2019, ISIS has largely operated underground. Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces report 117 ISIS attacks in northeastern Syria by the end of August, compared with 73 attacks across all of 2024. While analysts argue the group lacks the capacity to target Western countries directly, it remains a significant threat to Syrian forces and regional stability.
ISIS has also expanded globally, establishing affiliates in Africa and Asia. The first wave of detentions in the new Syria came almost immediately – just after victorious rebels flung open the doors of Bashar al-Assad’s notorious prisons.
As ordinary Syrians stormed detention complexes last December to search for loved ones who had vanished under Assad’s rule, thousands of the deposed dictator’s soldiers who had abandoned their posts – officers and conscripts alike – were taken prisoner by the rebels.
Then came the second wave in late winter: Hundreds of people from Assad’s Alawite sect, mostly men, were seized by the new authorities throughout Syria. Their detentions spiked after a brief uprising along the coast in March killed dozens of security forces, sparking reprisals that left nearly 1,500 Alawites dead. Those arrests continue to this day.
Beginning in summer there was another round of mass detentions, this time in the south among the minority Druze community. It came after hundreds died in an outbreak of sectarian violence, with government forces accused of summary executions and other abuses.
Throughout, there were other detentions from all denominations in the name of security: large numbers of people, many from Syria’s Sunni majority, accused of vague links to Assad; human-rights activists; Christians who say they have been shaken down for information or money; Shi’ites picked up at checkpoints and accused of ties with Iran or Hezbollah.
