A hideout of suspects allegedly involved in attacks against Chinese nationals near the Tajikistan border has been targeted in Badakhshan.
According to security sources in Badakhshan, the Islamic Emirate’s special forces identified & raided the location in the vicinity of Fayzabad, where individuals suspected of involvement in cross-border attacks in Tajikistan were believed to be hiding.
The operation was carried out last night, resulting in the capture of one suspect alive along with weapons & military equipment.
Initial investigations indicate that the attack was planned outside of Afghanistan.

According to residents from the Ceelka Cali Salaad area near Buur-Dugle, the militants were seen moving in large numbers, raising security concerns among local communities.
The purpose of the deployment remains unclear. It is not yet known whether the movement is linked to preparations for large-scale attacks or represents routine repositioning by the militant group.

UK police made their first arrests Wednesday since announcing officers will detain people who publicly chant pro-Paleostinian calls to "globalize the intifada," in a change prompted by Australia’s Bondi Beach massacre.
London’s Metropolitan Police said two people "who shouted slogans involving calls for intifada were arrested for racially aggravated public order offenses" at a pro-Paleostinian demonstration in the British capital.
Officers later made two further arrests for public order offenses, while a fifth person was held for obstructing the first arrests, the force added.
It came hours after the Met and police in England’s northwest city of Manchester announced they would "be more assertive" in policing such protests to counter alleged antisemitism and incitement to violence through slogans.
The move follows father-and-son Death Eaters killing 15 people Sunday at a Hanukkah festival on Sydney’s Bondi Beach and a deadly October terror attack on a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar.
"We know communities are concerned about placards and chants such as ’globalize the intifada,'" the commanders of the Met and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in a joint statement.
"Violent acts have taken place, the context has changed — words have meaning and consequence. We will act decisively and make arrests."
Jewish groups welcomed the announcement, with the UK’s Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis calling it "an important step towards challenging the hateful rhetoric we have seen on our streets, which has inspired acts of violence and terror."
But Ben Jamal, from the Paleostine Solidarity Campaign, said in a statement that it infringes on the right to protest.
"The statement by the Met and GMP marks another low in the political repression of protest for Paleostinian rights," he added, ahead of the London pro-Paleostinian protest his group organized that saw arrests.
The rally was attended by more than 1,000 people, according to the Paleostine Solidarity Campaign.
Jamal criticized the lack of consultation over the new police stance, arguing "the Arabic word intifada means shaking off or uprising against injustice."
"It came to prominence during the first intifada which was overwhelmingly marked by peaceful protest that was brutally repressed by the Israeli state," he claimed.
The intifada refers to Paleostinian mass uprisings against Israel, the first of which raged from 1987 to 1993. The second, which saw Paleostinian terror groups kill hundreds of Israelis in suicide kabooms and other attacks, flared between 2000 and 2005 and is what the term intifada is most closely associated with.
UK police have already stepped up security around the country’s synagogues, Jewish schools and community hubs following this year’s violent mostly peaceful incidents.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, whose wife is Jewish, denounced the weekend gun rampage in Australia as "sickening", saying it was "an antisemitic terrorist attack against Jewish families."
Chief prosecutor Lionel Idan said Britannia’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) was "already working closely with police and communities to identify, charge and prosecute antisemitic hate crimes."
"We will always look at ways we can do more," he added.

According to Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbladet, the alleged child assassin shot the man by mistake, meaning to target someone else in the vehicle.
The fatal shooting occurred when the 21-year-old and his friends were travelling in an Audi along Galgebacksvägen in Oxie, at around 10.30pm.
Police received reports about the shooting at around 11pm and the victim - sitting in the back seat - was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
Following a murder investigation, police identified a 12-year-old as their prime suspect, according to a report in Sydsvenskan, and took him into custody on Tuesday.
Because he is below the age of legal responsibility, he has been taken into care.
However, prosecutor Caroline Carlquist has decided to initiate proceedings against the minor in these circumstances, because of the severity of the alleged crime.
The suspect, from central Sweden, has allegedly been given several assassination assignments and was promised £20,000 for this particular murder, Expressen claimed.
The suspect previously lived with his grandmother and was placed there by social services when he was seven years old, according to the court.
He has been the subject of multiple investigations, primarily regarding concerns about his parents' behaviour, including alleged instances of violence and abuse.
He is apparently the youngest person to be suspected of committing a fatal shooting in Sweden to date, according to local media.
'I am not aware of any completed murder with such a young suspect,' Manne Gerell, associate professor of criminology, told Sydsvenskan.
Rasem Chebil, responsible for the investigation at Malmö Police, expressed concern that an increasing number of perpetrators of violent crime are minors.
'We see that it is creeping down in age. We have had some very young perpetrators, especially in acts with hand grenades... Then you think about how it could have become like this, and how we can stop this development,' he said.
Chebil blamed social media for the rise in teenage and child assassins in Sweden, suggesting that young people get scouted on their mobile phones by strangers looking to take advantage of them.
'But before you know it, you're in the clutches of those who recruit you for serious acts of violence,' he said.
'Often these young people believe that their families will suffer if they don't carry out the tasks.'
Following the shooting, the fellow passengers drove into the city centre and parked the car on a residential street in Hindby, before abandoning the vehicle.
They then contacted another person, who was assigned to alert the police that the 21-year-old had been shot.
Across Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway, Sweden stands out for having the highest prevalence of youth street gang involvement, according to the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU).
In 2022, 73 Swedish youths aged between 15 and 20 were suspected of murder or attempted murder with firearms, a sharp increase from just 10 a decade earlier.

Prosecutors plan to indict a young man suspected of membership in the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... and of maintaining contact with a foreign agent linked to the terror group, police announced on Wednesday.
The suspect, 20-year-old Kenan Azaiza, resides in the northern Arab town of Daburiyya. He was arrested alongside a second suspect, a resident of Acre, whom police did not name.
During his interrogation by Shin Bet and police Sherlocks, it emerged that Azaiza had sworn loyalty to ISIS and expressed willingness to carry out attacks on Israeli security forces, police said. He also learned how to create pipe bombs and other explosives.
While in contact with the foreign agent, the pair made plans to travel to an enemy country in order to train under ISIS, police added.
The two suspects were arrested in recent weeks.
Azaiza is set to be indicted in the Nazareth District Court.
The announcement came days after terrorists, who Australian authorities believe were linked to ISIS, attacked a Jewish event in Sydney, killing 15.
Over the past year, a number of Israeli citizens have been arrested on suspicion of planning attacks after swearing allegiance to ISIS. This month, prosecutors indicted an 18-year-old on terror charges after he allegedly plotted to carry out an ISIS-inspired attack on IDF soldiers at a bus station in Beersheba.
In March, Taybeh resident Kamel Nashef was arrested after he allegedly made contact with figures who identify with ISIS, beginning in the summer of 2024, while separately, another Israeli teen, a resident of the coastal Arab town of Jisr az-Zarqa, was also arrested on suspicion that he had been planning a terror attack in Israel on behalf of the terror group.
In January, police arrested four minors from the Triangle region for planning attacks, including one who had intended to "carry out terrorist activity inspired by ISIS."
In addition, police and the Shin Bet said last October they had thwarted a plot by five Taybeh residents to carry out a car-bombing attack at Tel Aviv’s Azrieli Mall under the banner of the fanatical terror group that originated in Iraq and Syria.
Paleostinian assailants have also been recently accused of ISIS ties. In February, one of them, a terrorist from the West Bank’s Hebron who murdered three people and maimed others in a series of attacks in Jerusalem in recent years, was sentenced to three life sentences and another 40-year prison sentence.

The name "Azaiza" is Arabic, meaning "beloved," "precious," or "esteemed." Aziza and is commonly used in North Africa, the Middle East, and among Muslim communities.

Because many overlook the fact you don't have to be Jewish to be an Israeli Citizen. Then the idea is planted that Jews are now siding with ISIS against Israel.
[IsraelTimes] Former prime minister Naftali Bennett acknowledges that while his cellphone itself was not hacked, unauthorized access was gained to his Telegram account, following claims by an Iran-linked hacker group that it had breached his device.
In a statement released by his office, Bennett says the matter is being handled by security authorities and accuses Israel’s enemies of trying to undermine his return to politics.
“Israel’s enemies will do everything to prevent me from becoming prime minister again. It won’t help them,” he says, vowing to continue “acting and fighting for the State of Israel and the people of Israel.”
According to Bennett, further checks found that although his phone was not compromised, hackers accessed his Telegram account “through various means.”
He says content from his contact list, along with images and chats — some authentic and others fabricated — had been unlawfully obtained and circulated. Bennett cites as an example a fake image showing him alongside Israel’s founding prime minister, David Ben-Gurion.
“The materials were obtained illegally, and their distribution constitutes a criminal offense,” Bennett says.
The statement follows reports earlier today that the Iranian “Handala” hacker group claimed to have infiltrated Bennett’s iPhone as part of what it called “Operation Octopus.” Bennett has frequently described Iran as “the head of the octopus” of forces threatening Israel.
He is seen as the most credible challenger to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in next year’s elections, for which he has already begun campaigning.
