The network says the women were attacked while fleeing El-Fasher, describing the assaults as part of RSF’s systematic weaponization of sexual violence and a grave violation of international law.
Doctors are urging the United Nations to deploy independent investigators, protect women and children along displacement routes, and RSF leaders to immediately halt the assaults and secure safe corridors for civilians.

The guided drone missiles that the Sudanese Army is reliant on are so prohibitively expensive for it to procure that the Army will rarely use them on low value RSF targets and saves their use for high value commanders, supply convoys or large militia gatherings. It does not make tactical sense for the Army to target a location unless there is a strong belief that it is houses a valuable militia target.

[IsraelTimes] Belgian security forces cordoned off the Grand Synagogue in central Brussels after a bomb threat was received, local media report.
The central Rue de la Régence was shut to traffic shortly after 6 a.m. this morning, the Brussels Times reports.
Security forces confirmed that the synagogue was targeted, and established a security perimeter and diverted traffic in both directions between Sablon and Place Poelaert, according to the report.
The chief rabbi of Brussels, Albert Guigui, said police asked him not to go to the synagogue in the morning while they investigated. He said he was optimistic the house of worship would reopen later in the day.

In a case seen as unprecedented in La Belle France, a nanny from Algeria is being tried for poisoning the Jewish family she worked for in a suburb of Gay Paree, according to French media.
The 42-year-old woman, who was in the country illegally after being served an order to leave, is accused of poisoning the food and drinks of the Jewish family that employed her as a live-in nanny, according to Le Gay Pareeien.
The suspect, known as Leïla Y., is believed to have been motivated by antisemitic beliefs.
She was detained in February 2024 and charged with "administering a harmful substance resulting in incapacity exceeding eight days, committed on the grounds of race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion." Her arrest has not been revealed publicly until now. Her trial was set to begin Tuesday at the Nanterre Criminal Court.
Investigators allege that shortly after she was hired in January 2024, the suspect began mixing toxic household cleaning agents into wine, juice, pasta and cosmetics belonging to the couple who hired her to care for their three children, aged 2, 5 and 7 at the time, according to the report.
To secure the job, Sherlocks say, she provided a falsified Belgian identity card after her visa ran out, another offense for which she is also being prosecuted.
According to the report, the mother of the family first alerted police on January 30, telling officers she had tasted what seemed to be cleaning fluid in her wine. She reported that her makeup remover had burned her eyes and that grape juice in the refrigerator appeared to foam and smelled of bleach. A pasta dish that had tasted normal one day suddenly had a strong "perfume" aroma the next, she said.
Several days later, on February 3, the couple’s 5-year-old daughter told her mother she had seen the nanny pour a soapy substance into a bottle labeled "Jerusalem," a brand of kosher alcohol.
Toxicology tests later detected polyethylene glycol and other chemical agents at very high levels in wine, whisky, fig liqueur, juice and pasta seized from the home, the report said. The substances were deemed harmful and potentially corrosive, capable of causing significant digestive tract injuries, the investigating magistrate wrote in the committal order.
An initial charge of attempted poisoning was later reclassified to "administering a harmful substance resulting in incapacity exceeding eight days" after experts said the chemicals were not capable of causing death.
ALLEGATIONS OF JEW-HATRED

Police found that the suspect had conducted several Google searches for the family’s identities, "Berber Jewish women," and "religious practices of Judaism," in the month before she was hired.
The couple’s children also reported that the nanny often asked them questions about their religion, and one child said she saw the woman knocking repeatedly on mezuzot, small cases containing sacred parchment that are affixed to Jewish doorways. The nanny denied the behavior, according to the report.
A security guard at the kids’ Jewish school also told Sherlocks the nanny had complained to him about the parents, calling them "stingy" and saying, "They have money, they can give it to me."
The family, who requested complete anonymity, later told Le Gay Pareeien they live in fear since the incident. The mother described sleeping near the door with a stroller "ready to escape," installing cameras inside and outside her home, and watching her children struggle with guilt, nightmares and fear about revealing their Jewish identity.
"We don’t want her to be able to return," she said, saying the family hopes the suspect will be expelled from the country if she is convicted. "It’s not Dire Revenge. It’s to end the fear."

Hired in January, reported to the police by the end of the month. They waited just long enough to be able to prove it. And she showed them a fake Belgian ID, so unless they were sophisticated about such things, she would have looked legit.

Very possibly the Jewish employers are also immigrants from North Africa, Regular joe, especially if they have three young children. When France gave over her North African colonies, the Jews, who had arrived when Carthage was a thing and flourished under the Roman empire discovered that living under Islamist governments was no fun, and fled to France. Many of them still live in the downmarket suburbs, cheek by jowl with their similarly brown Moslem neighbours.

Local sources cited by WAFA, the Palestinian Authority’s official new agency, say Israeli forces detained five security workers in Birzeit and confiscated their phones, and also arrested six people from the village of Beirzeit itself.
Birzeit University reportedly postponed the start of its schoolday and office hours until 9 a.m. due to the IDF search.
The IDF does not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society organization reported today that at least 40 people were arrested by Israeli forces across the West Bank since last night. The Palestinian Red Crescent also reported two people, including a 13-year-old boy, injured by IDF gunfire to the legs in the al-Am’ari refugee camp near Ramallah.
[IsraelTimes] IDF troops located three crude rockets, in various stages of preparation, in the West Bank city of Tulkarem last month, according to the military.
The rockets were located following the interrogation of several terror operatives from Tulkarem who were detained in recent months, the IDF, Shin Bet, and police say in a joint statement.
One of those detained, Ahmad Abu Samra, had placed an explosive device on an IDF Panther armored personnel carrier (APC) in September, wounding two soldiers; attempted a similar attack on a David light armored vehicle; and in December 2024 was involved in a bombing attack that lightly wounded the then-commander of the Menashe Regional Brigade, Col. Ayub Kayuf, security authorities say.
Another suspect detained in the case is Khalil Kharisheh, a resident of Tulkarem, who, according to Israel, was involved in advancing bombing attacks, including the one in which Kayuf was injured, and supplying components and materials for the bombs.
Following the interrogation of the suspects, the IDF says that on November 17, troops raided a site in Tulkarem, where three makeshift rockets were located, along with explosive devices, launching systems, “bomb-making parts, and materials for preparing explosive charges.”
The rockets were at various stages of preparation, with one including an explosive warhead, the military says.
In recent years, there have been several attempts by Palestinian terror groups to develop and launch crude rockets from the West Bank at Israeli settlements and at Israel, though with little to no success.

Soldiers monitoring surveillance cameras spotted the smuggling cell near the border. Following a pursuit involving troops of the 80th Division, the Israeli Air Force, Shin Bet, and police, the suspects were detained, the military says.
The IDF says it also captured their vehicle and 21 kilograms of an unspecified drug. The suspects were taken by police for further interrogation.
[IsraelTimes] The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Tuesday that their elite units captured an Islamic State (ISIS) “emir” during a raid conducted in cooperation with the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in the eastern Deir ez-Zor province. Another ISIS militant was killed in a separate attack on one of the Kurdish-led forces’ outposts in the same province, the SDF added.
In a statement, the SDF said the Military Operations Units (TOL), “affiliated with our forces and operating in direct coordination with the Global Coalition, carried out a specialized high-value security operation” in the Deir ez-Zor countryside.”
The operation “led to the capture of the ISIS military emir, known as ‘Abu Zubayr - Samak,’ along with two members of his cell,” the Kurdish-led forces noted, adding that the raid followed “extensive intelligence monitoring” of the cell, which the SDF described as “one of the most dangerous ISIS networks.”
The SDF serves as the de facto military force in northeast Syria (Rojava) and remains the main partner of the US-led anti-ISIS coalition in the country.
Importantly, the statement noted that the captured emir, Abu Zubayr, was responsible for “smuggling routes and communication lines between ISIS cells in the region and the al-Hol camp.” He also “oversaw the recruitment and training of children from ISIS families - known as ‘The Cubs of the Caliphate’ - preparing them for future combat roles,” the SDF said.
Al-Hol camp has long been notorious for its dire living conditions and the presence of radicalized individuals, earning a reputation as a potential incubator for extremism. While Iraqis and Syrians make up the majority of its residents, thousands of people from other countries who joined ISIS or lived under its rule also remain in the camp.
In a separate statement on Tuesday, the SDF said it had repelled an attack “carried out by an ISIS cell against one of our military posts in the village of al-Marashdah, in the al-Susah district of eastern Deir ez-Zor.” The clashes left “one terrorist operative dead and another critically wounded,” the statement added.
The SDF concluded by reaffirming their commitment to countering ISIS and pursuing all remaining cells “until terrorism is fully eradicated and lasting security and stability are ensured” in Deir ez-Zor and across Rojava.

Local media reports said the soldiers detonated several buildings in Wadi al-Asafir in al-Khiam and a house in Odaisseh.

[AnNahar] Israel's military said it carried out strikes on southern Lebanon on Tuesday, targeting a training compound and other sites operated by Hezbollah.
"A short while ago, the IDF (Israeli military) struck infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in several areas in southern Lebanon," it said in a statement.
The strikes targeted the Wadi Azza area between the Nabatieh and Sidon districts and the heights of the southern region of Iqlim al-Tuffah.
Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported "a series of (Israeli) raids targeting the Iqlim al-Tuffah region" near the towns of Azza, Roumin and Jbaa, about 40 kilometres north of the border with Israel.
"A number of houses were damaged" in Jbaa, the NNA added.
According to the Israeli military, the operation hit "a training and qualification compound used by Hezbollah's Radwan Force" as well as "military structures and a launch site belonging to Hezbollah".
"The targets that were struck, and the military training conducted in preparation for attacks against the State of Israel, constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to the State of Israel," it added.
Despite a November 2024 ceasefire that was supposed to end more than a year of hostilities between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group, Israel has kept up strikes on Lebanon and has also maintained troops in five south Lebanon areas.
Israel has mainly said it is targeting Hezbollah.
Under heavy U.S. pressure and fears of expanded Israeli strikes, Lebanon's government has committed to disarming Hezbollah, and the army is set to dismantle the group's military infrastructure near the border by year end before tackling the rest of the country.
The Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday that it carried out a wave of overnight airstrikes in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah sites, including a training facility used by the terror group’s elite Radwan Force.
According to the military, the Radwan Force “training and qualification compound” was used by the terror group to plan and advance attacks against Israel.
In addition, the IDF said it struck several buildings used by Hezbollah and a rocket-launching site in southern Lebanon.

A clash also erupted at the Kfar Rumman roundabout in the Nabatieh district after a number of Syrians erected a picture of al-Sharaa, triggering a scuffle and an intervention by the army.

[Rudaw] Three unidentified projectiles targeted a military airport in a governmental and diplomatic hub in Damascus on Tuesday, Syrian state media reported, adding that no casualties were recorded.
The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that "three unidentified projectiles" targeted the al-Mazzeh Military Airport, located in the southwestern part of Damascus, "without causing any casualties or material damage."
SANA further cited "a military source" as stating that "the competent authorities deployed around Mazzeh Military Airport and began investigations to determine the source of the projectiles."
Rudaw's Damascus news hound, Viviyan Fetah, reporting from the scene stated, "It has been confirmed that there are absolutely no casualties - no one has been killed or injured - because this is an old [abandoned] military airport."

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Tuesday that activists heard "the sound of explosions" near the military airport, followed by police and ambulance sirens along the Mazzeh highway.
Since the ouster of longtime dictator Bashir al-Assad a year ago, the Mazzeh neighborhood has remained a flashpoint.

In mid-November, the Mazzeh neighborhood was struck by what Syrian state media described as Katyusha rockets, causing injuries and property damage. SANA reported that the rockets were fired from a mobile launcher by "unknown assailants."

The escalation of the "ISIS" organization continues in Syria. Today, the Islamic State organization "ISIS" [officially] claimed two attacks against Syrian security forces, using "sticky bombs"—the first in the town of (Ma'ribah) in the rural outskirts of Damascus the day before yesterday, targeting a public security vehicle, and the second attack targeting a vehicle belonging to a judicial official in the town of (Deir Hassan) yesterday.
