The Department of Homeland Security on Monday announced the launch of a "Worst of the Worst" webpage, which displays information on criminal illegal immigrants arrested during the Trump administration’s enforcement campaign.
The page allows users to search hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants who have been arrested across all 50 states, the agency said. Many have criminal histories that include homicide, assault, rape, drug trafficking, child molestation, cruelty toward a child, battery, and armed robbery, among other crimes, a DHS news release states.
"While Americans across the country were enjoying their weekends and holiday shopping, ICE law enforcement was hard at work arresting pedophiles, gang members, and drug traffickers," said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Today, we launched a ‘worst of the worst’ website so every American can see for themselves the criminal illegal aliens that we are arresting, what crimes they committed, and which communities we removed them from. This holiday season, make sure to thank law enforcement officers for all they do to make America safe again."
The new page will feature 10,000 arrests upon launch and will be updated by DHS.
"Under Secretary (Kristi) Noem's leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump's promise and carrying out mass deportations - starting with the worst of the worst - including the illegal aliens you see here," the page states.
McLaughlin, as well as the Trump administration, has accused the media of "whitewashing" facts about the arrests of illegal immigrants with violent criminal histories and portraying them as victims of President Donald Trump’s mass deportation campaign.
"As the media whitewashes the facts, day in and day out, our brave men and women of ICE risk their lives for the American people," McLaughlin said. "Americans don’t have to rely on the press for this information — with this transparent tool, they can see for themselves what public safety threats were lurking in their neighborhoods and communities."
The launch of the webpage comes as officials in sanctuary states and cities refuse to allow local law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration authorities or honor immigration detainers.
In addition, many have engaged in "malicious lies and hoaxes, driven by hateful rhetoric from the mainstream media, which continue to distort the work of the brave men and women" carrying out immigration enforcement operations, DHS said.
Some of the illegal immigrants featured on the webpage were arrested this past weekend:
Cesar Ramos-Cruz, of El Salvador, who was convicted of indecent liberties with a child in Alamance County, North Carolina; and Rodrigo Roman Basantes, from Ecuador, who has convictions for sexual assault — victim less than 13 — and endangering the welfare of a child for sexual conduct in Hudson County, New Jersey.
Also included is Geilond Vido-Romero, a Venezuelan citizen and Tren de Aragua gang member, who was convicted of escape of a prisoner; and Ge Her, from Laos, who has a third-degree criminal sexual conduct conviction involving force or coercion in Ramsey County, Minnesota.
[IsraelTimes] A Holocaust survivor in New York City has been invited to a Brooklyn middle school that denied him a speaking opportunity due to his support for Israel, a Jewish city legislator says.
The principal of MS 447 refused to host Sami Steigmann, a survivor who often speaks about the genocide and in support of Israel, last week.
The principal responded to a parent’s request to host Steigmann by saying his presentation would not be right for the school “given his messages around Israel and Palestine.”
The refusal set off a wave of condemnations, including from New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
New York City Councilwoman Inna Vernikov, a Jewish Republican representing part of South Brooklyn, says the city council’s Jewish Caucus spoke with NYC Public Schools about the issue, “and they confirmed that [Steigmann] is invited to speak at the school.”
Vernikov says on X that she is awaiting a date for the talk from the city’s education department.
Vernikov adds that she “demanded that the principal issue a public apology” to Steigmann.
”Jew-hate is my right, no matter how it upsets the C-suite in Corporate HQ.”

[SudanTribune] The United States on Friday unveiled a new national security strategy that prioritizes a negotiated settlement to the war in Sudan and a shift toward commercial investment, signalling a sharp departure from traditional foreign aid and refugee resettlement.
The 2025 National Security Strategy, which outlines the agenda for President Donald Trump’s second term, identifies the ongoing conflict in Sudan as a key “opportunity for engagement”. It calls for a transition in U.S. policy toward Africa from a “foreign aid paradigm” to an “investment and growth paradigm”.
DIPLOMACY AND ‘THE PLEDGE’
Washington intends to “partner with select countries” to resolve the conflict, specifically listing Sudan alongside the Democratic Republic of Congo as priorities for negotiated settlements.
The release of the strategy follows a personal pledge by President Trump last month to intervene in the conflict. On November 19, following a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Washington, Trump announced he would “start working” on ending the war immediately.
“His majesty would like me to do something very powerful having to do with Sudan,” Trump told a U.S.-Saudi investment forum at the Kennedy Center, adding that the administration began working on the issue “30 minutes after” the Crown Prince requested it. In a subsequent statement on Truth Social, Trump called for an “immediate halt” to the violence and promised to work with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt to stabilize the country.

After returning to Somalia, he pledged allegiance to al-Shabaab, then defected to ISIS in 2015, growing its Somalian cell from 30 to around 1,200 fighters by 2024.
Somali and US forces have hunted Mumin since early 2025. Airstrikes on Puntland caves several weeks ago killed several, but Mumin remains at large.
Mumin's new position has drawn criticism from other jihadists, who claim that only an Arab descendent of Prophet Muhammed from the Quraysh tribe, can take the role as leader. They argue that Mumin's African roots disqualify him from being the leader of ISIS.

British Conservative politicians have called on Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson to deport antisemitic foreign students.
Laura Trott, the shadow education secretary, and Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, expressed concerns over a "deeply troubling rise in antisemitic behavior... particularly on university campuses," in a letter to Phillipson last week, The Telegraph reported Saturday.
The Conservative Party urged the government to use its powers under the Immigration Act 1971 to revoke the visas of any foreign citizens who harass or intimidate members of the Jewish community.
"Failure to act sends a dangerous message to Jewish students and academics that their safety is not valued, and to perpetrators that they can harass Jewish students and staff with impunity," the letter read. "Too many institutions that have spent years suppressing legitimate free speech and debate in the name of ’diversity and inclusion’ have decided to turn a blind eye to genuine harassment and intimidation when it is directed against Jewish people."
The proposal to deport foreign students accused of antisemitic actions follows similar actions by the Trump administration in the United States. Hundreds of international students have had visas revoked or faced detention since US President Donald Trump ...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania... signed an executive order aimed at combating antisemitism in January.
In October, Phillipson said British universities must take stronger action to protect Jewish students following growing concerns over antisemitism on campuses.
"One instance of antisemitic abuse is one too many," she said at the time.
Reports of antisemitic abuse at British universities reached record levels last year following the Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. The Community Security Trust (CST), a non-profit working to secure British Jews, recorded a high of 272 incidents on campuses in 2023-24.
Throughout the UK, more than 1,500 antisemitic incidents were recorded between January and June 2025, a figure that is second only to the first half of 2024, CST said in August.
There are currently more than 9,000 Jewish students studying at UK universities, and 86 Jewish student societies in schools, CST has said.

All of them replaced the formula for the oath of office — "Sí, juro" (I swear) — with political statements, triggering an immediate backlash in the chamber.
Lawmakers from President Javier Milei’s right-wing and libertarian coalition interrupted with boos and shouted insults, arguing that the oath should not be used for foreign-policy slogans. Lila Lemoine, a member of Milei’s party, rebuked Bregman, to whom she was formerly close, saying: "You must swear for your country."
While largely left-wing politicians in countries around the world have sought to demonstrate their solidarity with the Paleostinians or advanced legislation on their behalf, the show in Argentina represented an unusual level of intrusion for the cause into a government’s regular operations.
After these oath-taking ceremonies — broadcast nationwide by major media outlets — political analysts and journalists strongly criticized the politicians who departed from the established protocol. Later in the week, a politician introduced a bill that would prevent those who do not take the oath in accordance with the chamber’s regulations from assuming their seats.
"Let’s put an end to this circus," said the politician, Sabrina Ajmechet, who is Jewish and from a right-wing political party. She added: "That there are members of parliament who have taken office swearing allegiance to another territory ... it’s more than just ugly, it’s problematic."
Whether the politicians who made the unusual oaths will face consequences is not clear. The Argentine government adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism, which defines some forms of Israel criticism as antisemitic, in 2020, adding to an anti-discrimination law that has been on the books since 1988. There is already one politician facing prosecution over antisemitic posts.
The pro-Paleostinian politicians were not the only ones to depart from the standard oath, which is taken over the text of the Bible. Patricia Holzman, a newly elected Jewish deputy who has been the executive director of a Jewish community organization founded in the wake of the 1994 AMIA bombing in Buenos Aires, adjusted her wording to say "Sí, prometo" (I promise) instead of "Sí, juro," and she pledged her oath on a Jewish Bible.
The swearing-in ceremony was also derailed when a left-wing politician, Juan Grabois, made what resembled a Nazi salute toward Milei, who was present. People close to Grabois said the gesture was meant to evoke the salute in "The Hunger Games," the young-adult series about protagonists defying an oppressive regime.
[IsraelTimes] Hamburg’s Stefan Hensel says that since Oct. 7 he has faced a ‘massive wave of hatred’ and that he feels abandoned by city officials who ‘should be my allies’.
"There’s a massive wave of hatred crashing down on me," Hensel recently told The Times of Israel. He said he now requires personal security at public events, while his "personal freedom of movement is severely restricted."
But not all threats against Hensel have targeted him personally.
In May of this year, Hensel faced an antisemitic attack while sitting in his car with his young daughter, listening to a Hebrew song. A delivery van driver who pulled up next to Hensel at a red light harassed him, called him a "baby killer," and challenged him to get out of the car if he was "a man."
"The act happened out of impulse," Hensel said. "It could have happened to any Jew."
"I just don’t want to [do this] anymore," he added.
All but one of Germany’s 16 states — Bremen — has an antisemitism commissioner, appointed by the local state government to serve as a point of contact for the Jewish community. Their responsibilities include documenting antisemitic incidents and increasing the visibility of Jewish life.
In a mid-November profile in the German magazine Stern, published after his resignation announcement, Hensel described how his office has been continuously flooded with hateful messages. His two staff members, he said, gave up long ago on trying to record every incident.
Hensel also cites a lack of political support as a key reason for stepping down.
"Neither the administration nor politics stand by me, even though they should be my allies," he said, adding that he "is increasingly ignored in politics." He said there were numerous antisemitic incidents to which his protests went unanswered.
As one example, he pointed to the appearance of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) supporter Zamzam Ibrahim at a well-known Hamburg cultural center. In a 2021 Instagram post, Ibrahim compared Israel’s treatment of Paleostinians to the Holocaust. At the time, Hensel publicly called Ibrahim a person who "advocates offensively antisemitic positions that deny Israel’s right to exist," and urged the artistic director responsible to cancel her appearance, without success.
Hensel also cited events at the University of Hamburg, where, according to him, anti-Israel and antisemitic statements are made "regularly." In early November, the local "Students 4 Paleostine" group held a BDS meeting at the university, calling for "the immediate termination of all ties to Israeli universities" and accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gazoo

Hensel unsuccessfully urged the university to ban the event, referring to a 2019 resolution passed by the German Bundestag that branded BDS as antisemitic and called on public institutions not to provide space for the boycott campaign. The resolution, however, is not legally binding, and there is ongoing debate over how strictly institutions such as universities must follow it.
"There is a long list of such cases that went unpunished, even though, according to the state’s antisemitism strategy, funding should have been withdrawn or venue allocations reviewed," Hensel said, referring to a strategy against antisemitism that he helped implement in Hamburg in 2024. "I keep hitting a brick wall when I remind those responsible that they are failing to fulfill their obligation to combat antisemitism."
Hamburg government officials offer a markedly different assessment of their record on combating antisemitism and of their cooperation with Hensel.
"Combating antisemitism, protecting Jewish residents of Hamburg, and supporting Jewish life in our city are central goals of the Hamburg Senate, rooted in the historical responsibility of Hamburg and Germany," said a spokesperson for Hamburg Mayor Peter Tschentscher.
The spokesperson added that the Senate valued and supported Hensel’s work.
"The Senate has always experienced committed and constructive cooperation on both sides," he said, adding that together they had achieved a great deal in the fight against antisemitism.
RISING REPORTS OF ANTISEMITIC INCIDENTS ACROSS GERMANY
Antisemitic incidents in Hamburg, where there is a Jewish population of roughly 5,000, have been on the rise. A study commissioned by Hensel in cooperation with the local police academy this year shows how dramatically the situation for Hamburg’s Jews has worsened since October 7. According to the survey, 77 percent of the 548 Jews who responded reported experiencing antisemitic incidents in the past 12 months. Two-thirds attributed the hostility to the heated atmosphere in Germany due to the war in the Middle East. Eighty-nine percent said they could not freely practice Judaism.

Nationally? I don’t recall that. But certainly quite a few state governments have forbidden themselves to do business with companies that practice BDS, and as a second round are now reminding their state colleges and universities that they are forbidden to promote BDS as well — which comes as quite a shock to the academics, poor dears, accustomed as they are to Freedom of Hate so long as it conforms to the approved categories.

Sorry — I was referring to the U.S., not Germany.
BDS is not forbidden in Germany, nor Jew hate, either, as far as I am aware. Nazism is forbidden, and support of listed terror groups, though Germany historically differentiated between political and armed wings, forbidding only the latter. Thus, as I recall, the political wing of Hamas was quite acceptable until very recently.

From what I recall no distinction has ever been made with "Hamas wings" in Germany. The Bundesverwaltungsgericht has classified Hamas as a terrorist organization back in 2004. Hamas was verboten in 2023, and German authorities take this verbot very seriously.
BDS is currently not verboten, but usually shunned. The city of Munich doesn't allow BDS to rent venues.

Chief US District Judge Denise Casper in Boston issued an injunction after concluding Ozturk was likely to succeed in proving US Immigration and Customs Enforcement unlawfully terminated her record in the database the same day that masked, plainclothes agents took her into custody in March.
That ICE-maintained database is called the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and is used to track foreign students who enter on visas. The termination of a student’s record from that database prevents that person from being employed.
Ozturk, in a statement, said she was grateful for the ruling and that she hopes "that no one else experiences the injustices I have suffered."
The US Department of Homeland Security, which oversees ICE, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Ozturk’s arrest on a street in the Boston suburb of Somerville, Massachusetts, was captured in a viral video that drew criticism from civil rights groups. She was detained after the State Department revoked her student visa as the Trump administration moved to crack down on non-citizens who engaged in anti-Israel and pro-Paleostinian activism on campuses.
The sole basis authorities provided for revoking her visa was an editorial she co-authored in Tufts’ student newspaper a year earlier, criticizing her school’s response to the Israel-Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... war in Gazoo

But the nice people at George Washington U’s Program on Extremism publshed a lovely History of the MB in America — not in academic language,God be praised! — that will serve to horrify the reader quite adequately at the organization’s penetration. It’s saved to my favourites for when I remember it’s there to consult. It only came out in July, so it’s quite up to date, too.
[Rudaw] The latest draft of the US National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) stipulates that Washington’s financial aid to Iraq will continue on the condition that Baghdad reduces the capability of Iran-aligned militias.
"Not more than 75 percent of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2026 for the Iraqi security forces... may be obligated or expended until the date on which the Secretary of Defense submits to the congressional defense committees a certification that the Government of Iraq has taken credible steps... to reduce the operational capacity of Iran-aligned militia groups not integrated into the Iraqi security forces through a publicly verifiable disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration process," reads the draft.
It also states that the steps should also include the strengthening of the operational authority of the Iraqi prime minister as the commander-in-chief of armed forces and investigating and holding accountable "members of Iran-aligned militia groups or members of the Iraqi security forces operating outside the formal chain of command of the Iraqi security forces who engage in attacks on United States or Iraqi personnel or otherwise act in an illegal or destabilizing manner."
The bill also completely bans any aid to the pro-Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The latest amendment of the NDAA allows the Secretary of Defense to waive the limitation on funds to Iraq for up to 180 days if doing so is "in the national security interest of the United States."
It also adds that funding designated for the Kurdistan Region's Peshmerga forces is not affected by the restrictions.
The Peshmerga aren’t beholden to Iran, so no reason to.
After the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq and the fall of Saddam Hussein, the US played a major role in rebuilding Iraq’s military. This included training, equipping, and advising the Iraqi armed forces to help stabilize the country and combat insurgencies.
US forces have also supported Iraq in counterterrorism operations against the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) after it seized swathes of territory in 2014.
Last month, the Department of State approved a possible foreign military sale to Iraq of a nationwide communications and repeater system valued at an estimated $100 million.
The US had around 2,500 soldiers in Iraq last year, but it is not clear how many remain in the country. Washington has agreed to withdraw its forces by 2026, as demanded by Baghdad under pressure from pro-Iran militia groups. US troops based in the Kurdistan Region to remain until the end of next year.
"The global coalition has completed its mission in federal areas," Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, Deputy Commander of Iraq’s Joint Operations Command (JOC), told Rudaw late last month, adding that "only four to five personnel remain to handle logistical and diplomatic affairs."
"All global coalition forces are now in the Kurdistan Region," Muhammadawi confirmed.
Iran is believed to have many proxy groups in Iraq, which it has used in the past to target US interests in the region. Washington has taken several measures to ensure that Baghdad is free of Tehran’s influence, including the rescinding of a waiver which had allowed Iraq to buy Iranian electricity for years.

The designations came three weeks after the Iraqi government revoked a controversial bill to restructure the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF, or Hashd al-Shaabi), following intense pressure from the US. Although the PMF is part of Iraq’s official security apparatus, many of its factions still operate independently, with impunity, and reportedly maintain strong ties to Iran.
Reports emerged on Thursday that Iraq’s Committee for Freezing Terrorist Assets had ordered a freeze on movable and immovable property linked to Hezbollah and Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... s. Both groups are believed to be Iran’s proxies. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani quickly described the listing as an "error" and ordered an investigation. The Iraqi presidency also distanced itself from the move, saying it played no role in the decision.
A US State Department spokesperson told Rudaw on Friday it was "disappointed" by Iraq’s reversal of the decision.
A drone attack on Kurdistan Region’s key Khor Mor gas field last month caused a partial blackout in the Region. The assault, which Kurdish officials have blamed on Iran-aligned militia groups, has been condemned by the international community. The US has invested millions of dollars in the field and has strongly condemned it.
When opening America’s largest consulate in the world in Erbil last week, Michael Rigas, US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, urged Baghdad and Erbil to "meet this moment to disempower and dismantle Iran-aligned militias that continue to engage in violent mostly peaceful and destabilizing activities and only serve to harm Iraqi illusory sovereignty," adding that the Khor Mor attack was an example of the threat these militia groups pose.
Trump told Rudaw last Tuesday that Iran is bullying Iraq.
"Iran has gone down many, many steps in terms of its fear factor. They were the bully of the Middle East, and they're really not the bully of the Middle East anymore. And Iraq was being bullied by Iran," he said after leading a cabinet meeting.
"Iraq has been a much friendlier place. They talk to us. The prime minister actually nominated me... Iraq nominated us for the Nobel Prize, and that was a great honor. We didn't expect that from Iraq. Iraq has been a much different place since the taking out of Iran of the nuclear capability."

A report published Monday by the Mizan news agency, the official mouthpiece of Iran’s judiciary, quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry official Mojtaba Shasti Karimi acknowledging the deportation of 55 Iranians.
"These individuals announced their willingness for return following continuation of anti-immigration and discriminative policy against foreign nationals, particularly Iranians, by the United States," Karimi reportedly said.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei also said Sunday there were plans for 55 Iranians to return to the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
Based on the US claims, "the Iranians were repatriated because of legal reasons and breach of immigration regulations," Baghaei said.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) declined to answer questions from The News Agency that Dare Not be Named about the flight, saying it "does not confirm or deny specific flights for operational security."
"ICE removal flights are occurring every day," the agency added.
The deportations represent a collision of a top priority of US President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... — targeting illegal immigration — against a decades-long practice by the US of welcoming Iranian dissidents, exiles, and others since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
In September, Iranian officials acknowledged as many as 400 Iranians could be returned under the Trump administration policy. That month, the first such flight arrived in Tehran.
In the lead-up to and after the 1979 revolution, a large number of Iranians fled to the US. In the decades since, the US has been sensitive in allowing those fleeing from Iran over religious, sexual, or political persecution to seek residency. Iran has maintained that only those facing criminal charges face prosecution, while others can travel freely. However,
the man who has no enemies isn't anybody and has never done anything... Tehran has detained Westerners and others with ties abroad in the past to be exchanged in prisoner swaps.
Iran has criticized Washington for hosting dissidents and others in the past. US federal prosecutors have accused Iran of hiring hitmen to target dissidents as well in America.

Given that, likely they have picked up a few WESTERN habits and enjoyments that IRAN would execute them for.

The Israel Defense Forces called the claim, which appeared in The Guardian on Monday, "absurd."
The report, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter, alleged that Israeli forces have made a habit of recording meetings inside the Civil-Military Coordination Center, both openly and covertly, drawing ire from the US and other allied countries that have a presence at the southern Israel base.
According to the sources, the Israeli intelligence gathering at the CMCC, which hosts representatives from dozens of countries and organizations, led the US commander of the base, Lt. Gen. Patrick Frank, to summon his Israeli counterpart for a meeting, in which he informed him that "recording has to stop here."
The practice has reportedly led some of Israel’s allies to instruct their forces at the compound to avoid revealing sensitive information, for fear that it could be "collected and exploited," the report added.
The IDF declined to comment to The Guardian on Frank’s alleged demand and noted that conversations within the CMCC are not classified.
"The IDF documents and summarizes meetings in which it is present through protocols, as any professional organization of this nature does in a transparent and agreed-upon manner," the Israeli military told the newspaper in a statement.
"The claim that the IDF is gathering intelligence on its partners in meetings in which the IDF is an active participant is absurd," the statement added.
The US military declined to comment to The Guardian on the allegations.
The CMCC, established under US leadership, is designed to coordinate humanitarian, logistical, and security assistance into Gaza while helping oversee the postwar stabilization phase. It is located inside a logistics company building in an industrial zone in Kiryat Gat, some 20 kilometers (13 miles) from Gaza.
The CMCC uses the first three floors of the building. The second floor is where the various countries come together in a cavernous space with massive screens and whiteboards, while the first floor is reserved for Israel and the third for the US.
Along with Israel and the US, countries that have sent troops to the compound include Jordan, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Canada, Australia, La Belle France, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates.
Last month, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel that Jerusalem was playing a secondary role at the CMCC, and that the US had become the prime decision-maker, including on issues pertaining to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, where Israel has accused Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... of looting aid convoys and placed restrictions on the shipments.
A US official speaking to The Guardian on the condition of anonymity disputed that Washington had the final say on aid deliveries to Gaza and characterized the efforts in that area as "hand in glove," with Israel as the hand and the CMCC acting as "the glove over that hand."
Unnamed diplomats told The Guardian that the talks at the CMCC have led Israel to ease restrictions on several items that had been considered to have "dual use" applications that Israel believes could be repurposed by Hamas, and had been banned from entering Gaza until now.
Last month, CMCC officers said that an average of 800 trucks of humanitarian aid have entered the Gaza Strip each day since the ceasefire took effect.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa vowed to usher in an era of justice and coexistence a year after the overthrow of Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs... , with tens of thousands taking to the streets Monday to mark the anniversary.
Sharaa’s Islamist-led alliance launched a lightning offensive in late November last year and took Damascus on December 8, bringing a sudden end to more than five decades of Assad family rule and over a decade of civil war.
Jubilant crowds thronged the streets of the capital and other major cities, many people waving Syrian flags, AFP correspondents said, after mosques in the Old City began the day broadcasting celebratory prayers at dawn.
"Today, with the dawn of freedom, we declare a historic break with that legacy, a complete dismantling of the illusion of falsehood, and a permanent departure from the era of despotism and tyranny, ushering in a bright new dawn — a dawn founded on justice, benevolence... and peaceful coexistence," Sharaa said in a speech to mark the occasion.
His speech was followed by continued celebrations across Syria with fireworks exploding above the massive crowds who chanted along to revolutionary songs played over loudspeakers.
Sharaa also reaffirmed "our commitment to the principle of transitional justice to ensure accountability for all those who violated the law and committed crimes against the Syrian people."
Multi-confessional Syria’s fragile power transition has also been shaken by sectarian massacres in the country’s Alawite coastal heartland and deadly festivities in Druze-majority Sweida in the south.
The authorities announced investigations after some government forces or allies were implicated in the violence.
The civil war, which erupted in 2011 with the Assad government’s brutal crackdown on pro-democracy protests, killed more than half a million people and displaced millions from their homes.
Tens of thousands of people are still missing, many after disappearing into the former government’s prisons, with families awaiting justice for Assad-era atrocities.
’LIKE A MIRACLE’

"The current phase requires the unification of efforts by all citizens to build a strong Syria, consolidate its stability, safeguard its illusory sovereignty, and achieve a future befitting the sacrifices of its people," Sharaa said following dawn prayers at Damascus’s famous Umayyad Mosque.
He was wearing military garb, as he did when he entered the capital a year ago.
Humanitarian worker Ghaith Tarbin, 50, expressed hope the government would now "prioritize civil peace" after years of war laid waste to swathes of the country.
CHALLENGES AHEAD
In October, the World Bank said Syria’s post-war reconstruction could cost up to $216 billion.
Syria’s authorities have announced major investment deals, including for infrastructure, but most Syrians are yet to see major improvements.
Security remains a persistent problem, and critics have accused the new government of marginalizing minorities and failing to protect them.
Some have called for decentralization or self-determination, which Sharaa has staunchly opposed, insisting on a centralized state.
Amnesty International said, "The new government’s response to serious violations committed since they came to power... will be a litmus test of its commitment to pursuing justice and accountability."
Human Rights Watch said the authorities "have taken positive steps on justice, transparency, and rights but failed to prevent continued violence and atrocities."

In the country’s Kurdish-held northeast, the authorities announced a ban on public gatherings on Monday, citing security concerns.
Under a deal agreed in March, the Kurdish administration was to integrate its institutions into the central government by year-end, but progress has stalled.

In the past few hours, some Syrian regions have witnessed celebratory manifestations related to the fall of the Baath regime, an event that reflects the deep desire of the Syrian people to turn the page on tyranny and open a new phase of freedom, justice, and the will of the people. In contrast, dangerous practices emerged from armed groups affiliated with the Ministry of Defense in the Damascus government, accompanied by incendiary and hostile chants against the Syrian Democratic Forces and the peoples of northern and eastern Syria, in a scene that precisely recalls the mentality of the Baath regime against which the Syrians revolted.
What occurred is not merely an emotional outburst or an individual transgression, but rather a repetition of systematic practices aimed at fueling hatred and reviving the discourse of division and threat. This constitutes a flagrant violation of civil peace and an attempt to drag the country back into the cycle of conflict for which the Syrians have paid exorbitant prices.
The issuance of these chants by elements affiliated with the Ministry of Defense places the authority in Damascus before clear responsibilities that cannot be ignored. The Syrian Democratic Forces, which protected Syria from terrorism and sacrificed thousands of martyrs in defense of its people in all their components, affirm that the peoples of northern and eastern Syria will not be an arena for the discourse of hatred, and that any attempt at incitement or destabilization will be met with a responsible and firm stance that preserves civil peace and protects the gains of all Syrians.
The future of Syria will not be built on slogans of hysteria and incitement, but rather on partnership, mutual recognition, and respect for the will of the components that have proven to be the cornerstone in protecting the country and repelling terrorism. Any underestimation of this reality is nothing but an attempt to regress the Syrian scene backward, something that our people and our forces will not allow.

“Until this moment, there have been no serious field developments, no direct entry of Turkish forces into Manbij, and no abnormal reinforcements in Deir ez-Zor or Ras al-Ain (Sare Kani),” Abu Omar al-Idlibi, a senior commander of the North Democratic Forces - a component of the SDF - told Rudaw.
“The situations are under control, and the forces present on the ground are performing their natural duty in maintaining security and stability,” he added.
