[FoxNews] 27-year-old Odyssey Head faces attempted murder, burglary, assault and arson charges following weekend incidents
New York City police have a man in custody in connection with a public transit slashing — and he's accused of two dozen more crimes, many of them violent — as President Donald Trump signals plans to step up his federal crackdown on blue-city crime.
Around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, a 37-year-old man suffered a cut on the left side of his face while sitting on a Q train car in Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood, according to the NYPD.
On Tuesday morning, police announced the arrest of 27-year-old Brooklyn resident Odyssey Head on more than two dozen charges, including three of attempted murder.
The NYPD did not immediately release further details explaining the full list of allegations beyond Saturday’s Q train assault.
FOX 5 New York reported that police were looking into a potential connection between the Q train slashing and two more that took place over the weekend, citing law enforcement sources.
Trump, speaking to American troops stationed in Japan Tuesday during a visit to the U.S. ally, said that he is considering stepping up his federal response to blue-city crime. So far, his plans have involved sending the National Guard into problematic areas.
"We have cities that have trouble. We can't have cities that are troubled, and we're sending in our National Guard," Trump told an assembly of U.S. sailors and Japanese allies.
"And if we need more than the National Guard, we'll send more than the National Guard, because we're going to have safe cities. We're not going to have people killed in our cities."
He condemned Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker for failing to curb gun violence in Chicago, blasted South American drug traffickers and credited his aggressive policies for a drop in crime in Washington, D.C., where he first deployed the National Guard to assist local police earlier this year.
"Whether people like that or not, that's what we're doing," Trump said.
Basic, bread and butter stuff that government is supposed to take care of, but that the Democrats have turned their backs on in favour of culture issues that only matter to that tiny slice of the population that has nothing more important to worry about than displaying class consciousness.

''The head of CNN for the last three years, hired by the Trump supporting owner and operator of CNN, is an Englishman who thinks paying Scott Jennings to lie about Donald Trump is money very well spent,'' O'Donnell said Monday during his show ''The Last Word.''
The host argued that Jennings — a former aide to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) — ''was not always a rabid, lying Trump supporter.''
''When he first started appearing on television, he was capable of criticizing some of the more extreme Trump positions, but Scott Jennings figured out where the money is and how he could get his own podcast and decided to become the 'JD Vance of CNN,''' he ranted.
In a biting response on X, Jennings wrote: ''No, Lawrence, I do not have time to save your show.'' LOL!
During a recent interview with Mediaite, Thompson — who took the helm at CNN in 2023 — showered Jennings with praise, comparing him to D'Artagnon, the hero of ''The Three Musketeers.''

''This program usually has an audience triple the size of the terrible, terrible television that Scott Jennings is delivering on the absurdly degraded version of CNN, presided over by the man who thinks lying for Donald Trump on TV is an honorable pursuit and should be paid for by CNN,'' O'Donnell boasted.
CNN declined to comment. MSNBC did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment.

The storm made landfall as a Category 5 but the National Hurricane Center has since downgraded Melissa to a 'powerful' Category 3 as it barrels toward Cuba, where it is expected to hit by late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness declared the island was a 'disaster area' on Tuesday afternoon as he seeks to 'prevent any exploitation at a time when citizens are securing food, water and supplies' in the midst of the tragedy.
Some 15,000 Jamaicans are hunkering down in shelters and as many as 530,000 people are without power, officials said.
As part of the order, the government has renewed a trade order which will prohibit any price gouging during recovery efforts and the subsequent clean up.
It comes after officials contacted the Trump administration for assistance and launched a relief website as the nation looks to recover from the catastrophic winds, flash flooding and storm surge.
So far, seven deaths have been reported during storm preparations across Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. But officials said since the storm made landfall in Jamaica, they have not recorded any new fatalities.
Melissa is one of the strongest hurricanes in recorded history, surpassing the intensity of Katrina. That storm caused an estimated $125bn (£94bn) worth of damage and killed 1,392 people when it struck New Orleans in 2005.
Am safe, the worse part of the storm hit the western parts of Jamaica sadly a whole parish got wiped out hospitals destroyed and places under water 2 story buildings. But am thankful to be alive that was the worse storm I’ve ever witnessed in my life the winds were brutal days of lashings from the storm and the fact that the storm had reverse over the island before heading out to Cuba made it worse. Was a scary experience for us, were up this morning trying to clean and go back to normalcy the sun is out so that’s a good start to the day.

as of 2 pm, Melissa is north of Cuba, will endanger some of the Bahamas and likely go to the west of Bermuda
at Jamaica landfall (as the correspondent noted, landfall was on Western part of the island), the peak winds were estimated at 160 mph (subject to change after re-investigation). Katrina made landfall in Louisiana at 125 mph. Andrew made landfall at 165 mph.

the area struck (Santiago de Cuba and Holguin) was not highly populated but it had some mountain areas and those areas probably got 25"+ of rain, the port city of Santiago de Cuba is badly damaged; it will be weeks before reliable injury and fatality reports are finaled
Guantanamo NB evacuated civilian and some military personnel and relocated ships, planes, etc. before the hurricane hit. The winds reached about 60 mph there and it caused some damage but it hasn't been assessed yet.

The federal law on the books at the time said the state governor had to ask first. They delayed and mucked around. After Katrina the Donks changed the law no longer requiring the request of a governor.

IIRC, the entire lower Mississippi River System had been hit by a series of storm before Katrina, a legitimate hurricane, dropped into the already inundated system.
There is a lot to not like about the W. tenure, and there seems to be more every day, but this was a frame job, just like The Greensburg Tornado was when Sebelius, remember her, delayed any real response for a few days while The Narrative set. Hurricane Maria vs. Puerto Rico during 45 would be another example, unlike Biden's Helene response getting buried by the mass media.

President Donald Trump told U.S. troops aboard USS George Washington at Japan’s Yokosuka Naval Base on Tuesday that the first batch of missiles for Japan’s F-35 fighter jets "will arrive this week," suggesting that U.S. defense deliveries to Tokyo are moving ahead of schedule.
The comments came during Trump’s hourlong remarks to sailors as part of his wider Asia trip, which included a stop in Malaysia before Japan, where he met with the country’s first female prime minister, Sanae Takaichi, and signed a new U.S.-Japan framework agreement on rare earth minerals. Later this week, Trump is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Washington has approved several large arms sales to Japan, including advanced AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9X air-to-air missiles designed for F-35s.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck is suing Google for defamation after the tech giant's AI tools allegedly linked him to false accusations of sexual assault, child rape and financial exploitation, among others.
"They've had [two years] to fix this," Starbuck said Monday on "The Will Cain Show."
"That's beyond negligence. That's pure malice at that point and, even if it's born from negligence, it's malicious."
The lawsuit, filed last week in Delaware Superior Court, claims Google's AI platforms – Bard, Gemini and Gemma – have continued to display false statements about Starbuck since 2023, despite multiple cease-and-desist letters.
The false statements included claims he had been accused of sexual assault, rape and harassment.
The lawsuit also claims Gemini itself "stated" that its alleged falsehoods about Starbuck were shown to 2,843,917 unique users.
He argued Monday that the issue should have been resolved within 24 hours.
"This is something that can't happen in elections, so I had to put my foot down, file this lawsuit. And the line for me was when it started saying that I was accused of crimes against children, it was like, 'I can't sit by and hope Google's going to do the right thing. I have to file a suit to protect my reputation before this goes any further.'"
Starbuck, a Heritage Foundation visiting fellow, is seeking at least $15 million in the case.

[FoxNews] A former Army sergeant who once held top secret clearance at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state was sentenced Tuesday to four years in federal prison for attempting to provide national defense information to China.
Joseph Daniel Schmidt, 31, pleaded guilty in June to attempting to deliver and retain classified material, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour also ordered three years of supervised release.
Schmidt's sentencing comes as U.S. authorities warn of growing efforts by China to recruit or exploit former military personnel with access to sensitive information.
"As a retired Army officer, I find it unconscionable for a former soldier to put his colleagues and country at risk by peddling secret information and intelligence access to a hostile foreign power," Acting U.S. Attorney Charles Neil Floyd said. Just a little bias
Schmidt enlisted in 2015 and served in the Army’s 109th Military Intelligence Battalion until 2020. Prosecutors said he had access to both secret and top secret systems and later contacted Chinese consular officials after leaving the Army.
Court records show Schmidt created multiple documents based on classified material and offered them to Chinese security services. He also kept a device capable of accessing secure Army networks, which prosecutors said he offered to Chinese officials.
After leaving the Army, Schmidt traveled to Hong Kong in March 2020 and continued corresponding with Chinese contacts. He lived there for more than three years before flying to San Francisco in October 2023, where he was arrested. He pleaded guilty in June 2025 and was sentenced Tuesday in Seattle.
Coughenour said he weighed "the seriousness of Schmidt’s crime and his mental health at the time." A DOJ spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital the judge considered Schmidt’s mental health as a mitigating factor during sentencing.
The agency said Schmidt’s separation from the Army followed a mental health episode, and officials added that no classified material was believed to have reached China. If not a known wolf then he had a ticket to leave the reservation. Unwanted and unwatched.

The guidelines were issued on Sept. 30, just one day before the government shutdown, in a memo titled "Separation of Employees with Unacceptable Performance" to eliminate workers with "unacceptable" performance reviews.
"Supervisors and human resources (HR) professionals are directed to act with speed and conviction to facilitate the separation from Federal service of employees performing unsuccessfully," reads the memo signed by Under Secretary of Defense Anthony Tata, the Pentagon’s top personnel policy officer.
The memo also states that managers will be held accountable for not addressing "poor employee performance."
Some managers fear that the guidelines are too broad to where they could be used to fire anyone who does not support the Trump administration’s programs, according to The Washington Post.
It is unclear how many employees have been fired since the memo was issued last month.
"The Department is in the process of adapting to the new guidance outlined in Under Secretary of War Tata’s memo from September 30th and we have nothing specific to share at this time," the Pentagon said in a statement to The Washington Post.
