[LIBYAREVIEW] The Media Advisor to the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Fathi Al-Marimi, said that the House of Representatives (HoR) supports the peaceful protests. He added that the Parliament supported the peaceful demonstration, but it denounces and rejects sabotage.
Al-Marimi explained that the headquarters belongs to the Libyan people, not to the members of the HoR, nor to its President. He said that the burning of the Parliament and other headquarters cost millions to the Libyan state Treasury. The Parliament refuses to approach any other headquarters and sabotage them.
Al-Marimi noted that anyone has the right to demonstrate according to what is guaranteed to him by the constitutional declaration but in a peaceful manner. He pointed out that the social components in Cyrenaica or Libya, in general are one social fabric and they respect each other. The issue has nothing to do with social and tribal matters.
He added, “we are tribes that respect each other. We have relations, intermarriage and neighborhood and we are with each other. The investigations into the burning of the headquarters will come. Anyone named will be investigated.”
He noted that investigations are still ongoing, because the intelligence and security services arrest a person every day who has equipment, devices and tools stolen from the headquarters.

The source indicated that ISIS has recruited farmers and shepherds, whether by paying or threatening them, to facilitate the smuggling process.

[Rudaw] Iraq’s counter-terrorism service (CTS) has conducted over 150 operations against the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) since the start of the year, said the spokesperson for the CTS on Sunday, stressing that "preemptive operations" continues in areas suspected of sheltering remnants of the krazed killer group.
"The service has conducted over 154 operations outside the cities," Sabah al-Numan spokesperson for the Iraqi CTS told state media on Sunday, adding that "all city centers and suburbs are safe from ISIS terrorism."

The Iraqi CTS and the Kurdistan Region's counter-terrorism units have cooperated on more than 10 operations since the start of 2022, resulting in the arrest of at least 21 "high-profile" terrorists, Numan told Rudaw’s Rozhan Abubakir in June.

During his trip to Israel, US President Joe Biden should obtain the names of soldiers involved in the operation in which Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed, US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib said in a statement on Friday.
"During his upcoming meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, President Biden must obtain the names of the soldiers responsible for killing Shireen, along with that of their commanding officer, so that these individuals can be fully prosecuted for their crimes by the Department of Justice," Tlaib wrote.
Abu Akleh's death was likely a "targeted assassination," said Tlaib, citing a probe by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and open-source intelligence investigations by news outlets such as CNN and The Washington Post.
Tlaib said that the US State Department and FBI must open a criminal investigation of Abu Akleh since she was an American citizen.
The IDF has said that it will not open have military police open a criminal investigation into the incident with the information currently available
"When an American citizen is murdered abroad, it is typically standard procedure for the US to open a criminal investigation," she wrote. "But in this case, the State Department and the Biden Administration have yet to launch an independent US investigation."
