Hegseth, earlier this year, imposed a sweeping ban on transgender military service as part of a broader effort to raise physical and mental standards in the service branches and to remove political elements from military culture.
The U.S. Appeals Court for the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday sided with the Department of War in an ongoing dispute over the Pentagon's transgender ban.
The three-judge panel dissolved the lower court's order staying the ban, but did issue a stay pending appeal.

You would think that they wouldn’t need a trans ban, if they still had the ban on all the psych meds. I also don’t understand current policies for background checks and cleanses to handle classified material. How does Bradley Manning get a TS clearance in the first place?

Because they were desperate for bodies that showed minimal brain functions. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that Manning showed some fairly substantial red flags all the way from enlistment and training, but there would have been heavy pressure not to lose him.

Manning? The same reason we've had with females since the integration from the Women's Auxiliary Corps to line duty. There have been a lot of good women who've served and are serving but there are a lot who don't cut it. The lower commands have been told since the 80s to "shut up and get with the program." I'm sure a lot of retirees and vets here could catalog a list of issues they've had. The Army can't come up with a single fitness test for all basically because of the reality. The enemy doesn't care, they just want to kill you.
[GeorgiaGazette] A Georgia state lawmaker was arrested Monday after a federal grand jury indicted her on charges alleging she fraudulently collected more than $17,000 in pandemic unemployment benefits. "That's Mah Money, bitches!"
State Rep. Sharon Henderson, a Democrat representing District 113, was charged with two counts of theft of government funds and 10 counts of making false statements, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. She is expected to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Justin Anand on Monday, where she is anticipated to enter a not-guilty plea.
Prosecutors say Henderson applied for federal pandemic unemployment assistance in 2020 while she was a candidate for the state House. In her application, she claimed Henry County Schools was her employer and that she had worked for the district until March 2020, around the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
But federal investigators say Henderson worked as a substitute teacher for only five days in 2018 and had not been employed by the school system since. According to the indictment, Henderson falsely stated she had pay stubs from 2019 as proof of employment and claimed the pandemic had shut down her workplace. She also allegedly filed weekly certifications asserting she was unable to report to work because she was under COVID-19 quarantine.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Henderson received roughly $17,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Prosecutors have not released additional details, and Henderson has not publicly commented on the charges.

It sounds like, at that point, she was still trying to break into government corruption and was still just honing her craft st the minor league blatant theft level.
