[NYPOST] A reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... man with a felony record who has been charged in connection with an Aug. 10 train station attack that left a 9-year-old boy dead was released from jail Monday while he awaits trial.
Michael Korosa, 52, has been charged with felony involuntary manslaughter after Elijah Flores died during an attempted robbery gone wrong.
Flores was under the care of Jonah Soria, 22, at the time of his death. Soria was dating Flores' mother.
When the Green Line train pulled into a station, Soria pushed Flores onto the train platform before snatching money out of the hands of a man and taking off running, FOX 32 Chicago reported.
Flores followed with the man and his friend, Korosa, in tow.
Soria reportedly picked Flores up and put him on his shoulders during the getaway attempt, since Flores could not keep up.
At the top of a flight of stairs, Korosa caught up to Soria and Flores.
That's when Korosa allegedly hit Soria with a cane, causing Soria and Flores to plummet down the stairs.
Flores hit his head on the pavement and Soria landed on top of him.
Soria then reportedly picked Flores up and boarded another train, where Flores became unresponsive.
A bystander called 911 and Flores was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
Korosa was arrested on Aug. 30. He also faces one count of felony aggravated battery on a transit employee stemming from the incident.
However,
women are made to be loved, not understood... he was released from custody on Monday while he awaits trial.
According to The Chicago Sun-Times, Korosa is a prior felon who served two years in prison for cutting a Walgreens security guard with a box cutter in 2020.
Unrelated to Flores' death, Korosa was arrested three days after the alleged train attack for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, jail records show.
Soria has not been charged in connection with Flores' death, but was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court in a retail theft and battery case in a different county.
It is unclear if Korosa has an attorney representing him. Fox News Digital reached out to the public defender's office and the Chicago Police Department.

The White House is working with us — I want to publicly thank the White House for turning over so many documents thus far," he explained.
"We’re in the process of uploading those documents for full transparency, so everyone in America can see them," Comer said. "As quick as we can get them uploaded — as the Speaker said, there are 34,000 pages — we’re doing everything we can to get those uploaded. We want those to be public as soon as possible."
Comer stressed that the investigation is far from over. “We’re gonna continue to bring in more people. We learned of some additional names today. We’re gonna do everything we can to give the American public the transparency they seek, as well as provide accountability in memory of the victims who have already passed away, as well as those that were in the room, and many others who haven’t come forward.”

Assuming that Epstein is dead, I have little interest in his personal deviancy. If there is documentation of powerful people molesting kids, I want exposure and accountability for the powerful people. I also want to see who seeks to protect and excuse the actions of the perps. I want accountability for those older despicable actions and consider their actions to be probable cause to investigate their current actions. Molesters don’t generally reform and never without accountability.

[Daily Caller] Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said on Fox News Wednesday that the Jeffrey Epstein case won’t truly reignite until accusers start naming new political figures who were allegedly involved in his illegal activities.
The House Oversight Committee released over 33,000 pages of Epstein-related documents Tuesday after obtaining them from the Department of Justice. In an appearance on "Special Report with Bret Baier," Hume discussed the Epstein scandal and why he said the case remains stalled.
"When they start naming names and the names aren’t the names we have already heard. And when they tell us something about politicians doing something other than simply associating with this guy, Jeffrey Epstein, then I think the story will get some renewed life," Hume told host Bret Baier. "But I think it’s living now on people’s suppositions and conspiracy theories. And the evidence of anybody beside Epstein doing anything terribly wrong here is pretty thin at the moment."

33k is a lot of paper. If one name is on each page, that's 33,000 individuals. Could be a bunch of other stuff, including the phone for the plumber or pizza guy.

They have scrubbed all these documents to preclude all mention of anyone other than Epstein, Maxwell and the other known handlers. Victim names are redacted. It will be hard to tell ether Bondi is scrubbing or whether Maureen Comey did the scrubbing. My guess is that it was some of both. The Intel aspect is also certainly being scrubbed. Luckily, we can count on them not being good st their job based on the prison video fiasco.

These victims will be sued civilly. The defendants will be deposed because it will be a civil suit. The plaintiffs records will be subject to discovery. Many of the plaintiffs will have very deep pockets. The Clinton’s will also bring the extra stuff for which they are well-known.

...On the one hand, fine - given today's realities; the chance that something unexpected is in there is non-zero.
On the other hand, these people better have their i's dotted and t's crossed, because if they don't, it's going to be ugly for them. A year or so back, somebody flatly stated that Alan Dershowitz was in there and he went nuclear on said statement. I suspect Professor Dershowitz will be more than happy to turn the keys again on behalf of anyone who is unjustly charged.

[NYPOST] Jeanine Pirro, U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, criticized Democratic leaders for opposing the Trump administration's crime crackdown in Washington, D.C. and for resisting the possibility of expanding similar efforts to other cities in the country.
Pirro singled out Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker after Chicago experienced one of its most violent weekends of the year.
''This guy Pritzker, he should be ashamed of himself,'' Pirro said on ''America Reports,'' referring to the staggering number of shootings and fatalities. ''It is a rejection of your oath to protect the people.''
Over Labor Day weekend, at least 58 people were shot in Chicago, eight of them fatally.
President Donald Trump has floated the idea of deploying the National Guard to help curb violence in the Windy City, as his administration has already done in the nation's capital.
But Democratic officials in Illinois strongly oppose federal involvement.
Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson have both rejected Trump's proposal.
In an interview with CBS, the governor suggested the administration's motives may go beyond crime control, calling the potential deployment of National Guard troops in the city ''an invasion.''
''They should understand that he has other aims other than fighting crime. That's the first thing they should understand,'' Pritzker told CBS's Ed O'Keefe. ''The second is it is an attack on the American people by the president of the United States.''
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., voiced similar concerns, calling the crackdown ''performative political actions.''
Pirro strongly rejected those arguments, claiming the crackdown has already delivered results in Washington, D.C.
''Who is entitled to say, crime is low enough and let's not bother?'' she asked. ''Who among us is willing to say I'm willing to have my child shot tonight in Chicago or next weekend?''
Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who had initially pushed back against the deployment, has since acknowledged the improvements brought to her city since the National Guard's arrival. In late August, Bowser said the city saw an 87% drop in carjackings over a 20-day span compared with the same period last year.
''We know that when carjackings go down, when use of guns goes down, when homicide or robbery go down, neighborhoods feel safer and are safer. So, this surge has been important to us for that reason,'' she said during a press conference.
Pirro has argued that Democratic leaders are resisting assistance and federal involvement simply because it comes from the White House.
''The truth is that these people are about ideology and power,'' she said.
''They should sit with the families of homicide victims. They should talk to the mothers who don't know if their sons are coming home tonight because of the gunfire that is pervasive.''
''Only President Trump is the one who's willing to put the resources, the energy, and yes, he has the determination to make this work. And it is working.''
