[FoxNews] Venezuelan nationals Moises Alejandro Martinez Gutierrz and Lestter Guerrero are in the US illegally, federal officials say
Two alleged members of the Venezuelan-linked gang Tren De Aragua (TdA) were charged in an ATM jackpotting conspiracy that included robberies and attempted robberies across New England, according to federal prosecutors.
Moises Alejandro Martinez Gutierrz and Lestter Guerrero, both 29, have been charged with conspiracy to commit bank theft, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts said in a news release.
Officials said both men are in the U.S. illegally.
The duo is accused of robberies and attempted robberies at ATMs in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island. They allegedly installed malware directly into the ATM's software programming to force the machine to dispense all its cash.
Prosecutors said there has been an ongoing federal investigation into a nationwide conspiracy allegedly coordinated and committed by TdA members to steal money from ATMs using malware, a scheme referred to as ATM jackpotting.
Martinez Gutierrez and Guerrero were arrested on Feb. 5 in Augusta, Maine, after an attempted ATM jackpotting robbery, according to charging documents.
Martinez Gutierrez is allegedly connected to at least five other ATM jackpotting robberies across New England, including robberies on Dec. 31 in Norwich, Connecticut; Jan. 20 in Braintree, Massachusetts; Jan. 30 in Rochester, New Hampshire; and attempted robberies Jan. 14 in Coventry, Rhode Island, and Jan. 19 in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
Guerrero is allegedly connected to at least one additional jackpotting robbery, with Martinez Gutierrez, on Jan. 30 in Rochester, New Hampshire.
If convicted on the conspiring to commit bank theft charge, the pair could be sentenced to up to five years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
TdA has allegedly developed revenue sources through a range of criminal activities, including ATM jackpotting to steal millions of dollars from financial institutions, prosecutors said in court documents.

A Manchester resident has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred over the weekend in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan announces.
Blu Zeke Daly, a/k/a Cullan Zeke Daly, 26, was charged by complaint with one count of attempted murder of a federal officer and one count of assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon. Daly is currently obtaining medical treatment at a New Hampshire hospital and is under guard.
The arrest of Daly was covered by local news station WMUR. According to the report, the Border Patrol agent stopped Daly and asked if he used any other names. That was when Daly fled.
According to Sherlocks, a Border Patrol agent came upon Daly driving alone in Stewartstown on Saturday evening. The agent asked if Daly used any other names, and Daly drove off, officials said, adding that the agent followed at a distance.
Daly was severely injured in the shooting and remains in the hospital at this point, said U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan. While Sherlocks have not been able to speak with Daly yet, Creegan said they are speaking with "people associated with the defendant" to get a sense of why they might have acted in the way that they did.
WMUR also added this illuminating detail:
Daly may be transgender or nonbinary, according to the U.S. attorney and court paperwork obtained by WMUR. [...]
"This individual did have a previous Massachusetts driver's license that was denominated to be male and now has a New Hampshire driver's license, which is denominated to be female. So, it's a reasonable assumption that the person has decided to transition their gender," [U.S. Attorney Erin] Creegan said.
Court paperwork obtained by WMUR shows that in 2024, Daly was granted a name change. Daly stated that they were changing their name because they are nonbinary.

He claimed Taliban forces had seized seven Pak military posts across three locations, including areas in Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. According to the statement, Taliban units are conducting coordinated nighttime operations and targeting Pak forces along the frontier using advanced equipment.
The escalation follows recent Pak airstrikes in Nangarhar and Paktika ...which coincidentally borders North Wazoo and Kurram Agency... provinces, where local sources reported civilian casualties and destruction of residential homes.
Cross-border tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistain have intensified in recent months, with both sides accusing each other of security violations and bully boy activity.
The latest festivities risk further destabilizing the volatile border region, raising concerns about broader military escalation between the neighboring countries.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said Thursday that Taliban forces killed 40 Pakistani soldiers and seized 15 military posts during ongoing clashes along the disputed Durand Line.
In a statement posted on X, Mujahid said the operation targeted Pakistani military positions in border areas, adding that several troops were also wounded or detained.
He claimed Taliban fighters had taken control of key installations and captured weapons and equipment during the offensive. Earlier reports from Mujahid had stated that seven posts were initially seized, a figure later revised to 15.
Pakistani authorities have not immediately responded to the Taliban’s claims, and the reported casualties and territorial gains remain independently unverified.
Clashes between Taliban and Pakistani forces intensify at Torkham, hitting a returnees’ camp, wounding civilians, and displacing dozens of families.
Heavy fighting between Taliban and Pakistani forces erupted at the Torkham border crossing, with reports that a returnees’ camp in Nangarhar province came under shelling, wounding at least seven people, including a woman.
Quraishi Badloon, an official from the Taliban’s Information and Culture Department in Nangarhar, said Pakistani troops fired on the camp. He added that the facility is being evacuated and that the injured woman remains in critical condition.
Residents in Kunar province reported that dozens of families in the border area of Dukalam, in Nari district, fled their homes after clashes began around 8 p.m. Local sources said both sides used heavy weapons and that fighting was still ongoing late into the night.
Witnesses said families were forced to leave during the holy month of Ramadan and were wandering in uncertainty after midnight, unsure where to seek safety amid continued cross-border fire.
Earlier in the day, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced retaliatory attacks against Pakistan, claiming that Taliban forces had captured 19 Pakistani posts across several eastern provinces and that up to 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Information responded by saying the Taliban had initiated “unprovoked actions” along the border and that Pakistani security forces delivered an immediate and effective response. The ministry claimed heavy casualties on the Afghan side and reported the destruction of several Taliban posts and equipment.
Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said the Taliban began the current conflict but stressed that Pakistan would determine how it ends.
Speaking to Geo News, he argued that the United States should be held accountable, claiming weapons left behind by American forces are now being used against Pakistan.

His remarks came as several explosions were reported in Kabul, underscoring rising tensions between Islamabad and the Afghan authorities.
Pakistan’s military said it launched air operations under the name “Ghazab-ul-Haq,” targeting Taliban military facilities in multiple Afghan provinces.
According to Geo News, the strikes were carried out in response to what Pakistan described as “unprovoked aggression” along the border. The report said a large ammunition depot in Nangarhar province was destroyed, and operations against additional targets were ongoing.
Citing security sources, Geo News reported that facilities in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia were also hit during the air campaign.
The report further stated that Pakistani forces targeted several positions in the Kurram region and killed eight Taliban fighters there. Overall, Pakistani officials claimed that about 44 Taliban members had been killed in the operation so far.
Zabihullah Mujahid said Pakistani forces carried out airstrikes targeting areas in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, and Nangarhar, as well as several other locations across Afghanistan.
Mujahid claimed that despite the bombardment, no casualties were reported. He described the strikes as an act of aggression by what he called “cowardly Pakistani forces.”
He had previously warned that if Pakistan launched attacks on Kabul, Taliban forces would respond by targeting Islamabad, signaling the risk of further escalation between the two sides.
According to Pakistani sources cited by Geo News, dozens of Taliban fighters were killed in ongoing operations, and several positions were targeted in multiple provinces.

Pakistan's war equipment includes nuclear bomb.
They also have air to surface weapons with aircraft that carry these weapons.
Taliban don't have this; they do have a lot of equipment that doesn't work and a little of some that does. Mostly, they have pretty good small arms and a willingness to take risks to kill their enemy.

Despite theological differences, the Iranian regime has a long history — both before and after 9/11 — of collaborating with al-Qaeda, with the two displaying some ideological flexibility in working together against the West. The DOJ and U.S. Sherlocks have pointed to links between al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime during the pre-9/11 era. The State Department and other agencies have repeatedly lamented over many years that Iran has continued to shield al-Qaeda operatives inside their country after 9/11.
Federal courts in the U.S. have also concluded that Iran used al-Qaeda as a tool against the U.S. before 9/11 and assisted the terrorist group and the Taliban in their successful efforts to evict the U.S. from Afghanistan.

According to al-Manar, around 25 strikes hit locations throughout the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, killing one person and injuring 29 others, in addition to causing extensive material damage.
The attacks occurred shortly before sunset, moments ahead of the breaking of the fast, intensifying fear and tension among residents in the targeted areas.
