Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA in collaboration with police and Civilian Watch (Cwatch) patrols, are conducting a manhunt for suspected bandits who kidnapped a woman and rustled livestock in Tsauni Village, Kankara LGA in Katsina.
The troops responded when armed bandits had invaded the village, abducted Asiya Ghali, 28, and stole several sheep.

Note that the attack occurred during a student walkout in Kansas, a state that has a Democratic governor but a majority Republican legislature. In other words, it is not a deep blue state. In fact, in spite of the Democrat governor, many people would think of Kansas as being a predominantly red state. Yet the public school system is as woke there as in many thoroughly Democrat-run states. That is the danger of the public school system in 21st century America.
What are these lefty students learning in their school? Obviously, they are learning to hate anyone who disagrees with them and to treat them as an enemy, "rightly" subject to harassment and even violence. The Olathe Police Department says the altercation happened around 2:05 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, near College Blvd. and S. Lone Elm Rd.
The Olathe Public Schools notes that the fight happened off the Olathe Northwest High School campus, where the protest began.
Officers indicate that a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were also cited and released. Police believe they have now contacted everyone involved in the disturbance.
WHAT HAPPENED
Investigators say the fight broke out during a student-organized walkout at Olathe Northwest. A separate, smaller group of students had planned their own demonstration - and the two groups clashed.
The District notes that its Safety Services Team responded alongside OPD and worked to stop the fight quickly. The 18-year-old’s Tuesday arrest is the second made in connection with the incident; the first came on Friday afternoon.
“The Olathe Police Department supports the community’s right to engage in peaceful protest and lawful assembly,” a department spokesperson said. “We are committed to protecting those rights while also ensuring public safety. Violence, property damage, or threats to people will be addressed appropriately to protect the community.”
SCHOOL RESPONSE
Olathe Northwest Principal Chris Zuck sent a letter to parents addressing the incident and warning of a planned walkout on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
“During the walkout, an altercation occurred off campus between the two groups, requiring our Safety Services staff and law enforcement to intervene,” Zuck wrote.
“Let me be clear: while we value our students’ perspectives and recognize their constitutional right to participate in peaceful demonstrations, we do not tolerate violence,” he continued.
Zuck confirmed consequences for students involved will be serious, though privacy laws prevent the district from sharing specifics.
He also addressed a planned student walkout on Wednesday, Feb. 25 - unrelated to immigration - urging parents to speak with their children ahead of time.
“Your voice matters. How you use it matters just as much,” Zuck wrote to students.
DISTRICT STATEMENT
Olathe Superintendent Dr. Brent Yaeger also sent a letter to families, emphasizing that the walkouts were entirely student-led and not organized or endorsed by the district.
“As a public-school system and public-school educators, we remain politically neutral when serving in these capacities,” Yaeger wrote. “Our role is to provide a safe learning environment, not to take positions on political or social issues.”
Yaeger reminded families that when students leave campus, staff supervision cannot be guaranteed - and that standard attendance procedures apply.
“Education and safety will always remain our highest priorities, and we appreciate your partnership in reinforcing this at home,” he concluded.

Another student-organized walkout is planned for Wednesday at Olathe Northwest. School officials say there will be an increased safety presence following Friday’s incident.
The district asks parents to talk with their children about peaceful participation and personal responsibility.

Realistically, if enough parents showed up at the school board meetings to demand that students remain in school during school hours, the board members might respond appropriately. Problem is, school board elections don't get a lot of media attention so communists can get themselves elected and do all kinds of mischief in coordination with communist teachers' unions.

It is most unfortunate that teachers' unions wield a great deal of political clout due to the money they extort from teachers in the form of union dues. Best way to break the unions might be to let the teachers strike and hire non-union scabs to replace them. I don't see how the scabs could do any worse educating the kids than union goons.

I would step out even further and assert that high schools should be abolished. College material kids could go to college after what is now called middle school. The rest get vocational training from people who are skilled in various trades. Stop wasting time and money on high schools.

I understand that in Germany children are split into tracks in fourth grade: university prep, skilled trades, and whatever you call shop cashiers and hotel workers and such, who have an 18 month training after they finish their junior high-level academic work. The thing is that the way German schooling is organized, if there isn’t a parent actively involve in co-teaching while supervising the child’s homework, it is the rare child who can master the material on its own, and thus there wasn’t a great deal of movement between classes, though plumbers certainly might earn a great deal more than high school teachers. So it used to be, at least, that girls who aspired to middle class lives went to university to get a degree as a college prep teacher so that they’d be able to get their kids into university, while the daughters of the aristocracy studied hotel management so they’d know how to run their husband’s estate, trusting that tutors would handle the education piece for the offspring.

Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea announced that five days of "good old-fashioned police work" going door-to-door helped them identify and track down George. The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms assisted local police with the investigation.
Ominously, George reportedly posted an AI image of the White House on fire Feb. 18 — the day of her attack — on social media with the caption, "If it can be destroyed by truth then it should be destroyed; it was built in lies anyways." Since she was in Idaho and not Washington D.C., she opted for trying to set federal offices ablaze instead.
After stealing the ambulance, George stopped to put gas cans and a plastic bag in the vehicle. Basterrechea explained, "The suspect took that ambulance and drove it into the Portico North building, where they had also staged gasoline and poured gasoline inside of the ambulance as well as on the floor, outside of the ambulance, in what we believe was an attempt to burn the building." Fortunately, George did not succeed in her incendiary plans, and no federal officers were killed or even apparently injured.
Surveillance footage showed George buying the gas cans and lighter fluid at Walmart, and police have since obtained the receipt. Police even obtained footage and loyalty card information from a local gas station where George filled up the cans with gasoline, according to Fox News.

At the University of Tehran, students reportedly shouted, "The shah is coming back to his country, the students are behind him," a reference to the monarchy ousted by the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Students also chanted "Javid shah" ("Long live the shah"). Calls to revive the Shah’s rule via his son, who lives in exile, are a common theme in anti-government protests.
Security forces responded violent mostly peacefully, according to the report.
At an unnamed school in the northeast, students were seen chanting "Death to the dictator." The footage was blurred, apparently to prevent identification of those present.
In Khajeh Nasir University, anti-regime protesters were seen facing off against pro-regime students.
Another video, also purporting to show a standoff between the two sides at the university, descended into a scuffle after an anti-regime protester grabbed a flag held by a pro-regime demonstrator.
Iran International also published a video which is said showed regime-aligned Basij militia members attacking students during a rally at Iran University of Science and Technology. There were similar festivities at Khajeh Nasir University, it said.
At Isfahan University of Technology, a drone was seen hovering in the sky, with Iran International suggesting it was being used by security forces to identify protesting students.
Earlier, Iran’s government spokeswoman said students have a right to protest but must "understand the red lines," in the first official reaction to renewed anti-government rallies on campuses.
"Sacred things and the flag are two examples of these red lines that we must protect and not cross or deviate from, even at the height of anger," government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said.
She added that Iran’s students "have wounds in their hearts and have seen scenes that may upset and anger them; this anger is understandable."
On Monday, the third consecutive day of the campus protests, videos geolocated by AFP showed students at a university in Tehran burning the Iranian flag, adopted by the Islamic Theocratic Republic after the 1979 revolution that toppled the monarchy.
The initial wave of protests began in December, sparked by economic woes in the sanctions-hit country, but soon grew into nationwide demonstrations that crested on January 8 and 9, posing one of the largest challenges to Iran’s leaders in years.
The unrest prompted a violent mostly peaceful government crackdown that killed thousands of people and included a lengthy total internet blackout.
The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) has recorded more than 7,000 deaths, while warning that the full toll is likely far higher.
Iranian officials acknowledge more than 3,000 deaths, but say the violence was caused by "terrorist acts" fueled by the United States and Israel.
During the protests, the government had sought to walk a line between acknowledging protesters’ legitimate economic grievances while condemning so-called "rioters."
Mohajerani on Tuesday said a fact-finding mission is investigating "the causes and factors" of the protests and will provide reports.
US PRESSURE
