We simply need more mass shooting in order to push gun control. What better place than the murder capital of the United States?
So we disarm law-abiding students but not thugs and gang-bangers who ignore the law anyway and then blame the guns.

#4 Chicago high school students walk out of class over gun violence

Students at a Chicago high school staged a classroom walkout Monday afternoon to protest gun violence just days after a shooting near their campus left two teenagers dead and two others wounded.

Students at Benito Juarez Community Academy in the Pilsen neighborhood on the city's southwest side, left their classrooms and gathered around a makeshift memorial where Friday's shooting occurred. The students called on city leaders to bolster security on their campus and crack down on gangs.

Many of the students released balloons into the air as they held a vigil for the victims.

"I want Benito Juarez to be safer because, honestly, I felt like this situation wouldn't have happened if it wasn't a lot of gang activity around the school," one of the student protest organizers, Kiya, told ABC Chicago station WLS-TV. "It's scary for people like me, who are not gang-affiliated, that have to go to school every day and then wonder, 'Dang, am I going to get shot?'"

#10 When I was in high school back in the 60s, it was unimaginable to have the police in my high school. There was certainly no need, and no one would ever have suggested it.

But I do realize that those were VERY different times.

#11 ^i was in high school in the early 1950's and it was safe. we were taught civics and the 3 r's. there was also vigilante justice rendered by my dad and uncles. i had a happy peaceful childhood. IMO LBJ and affirmative action started us down hill. affirmative action is racist. it gives a color a preference. there should be no hyphenated americans just americans.

When Big Mike is unveiled as the rescuing Savior with Barry always poised in the background, the useful idiots will clamor for that, never having the reasoning skills to recognize that they and their ilk are the ones behind the Puppet Show that orchestrated the mess they will claim they can clean up!
