"The real fight is not between right and left, but rather between humanists and extinctionists," Musk wrote in a post on X.
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas agreed with Musk's assertion. "Clearly true. Today's radical Left is like Thanos, snapping his finger to eliminate half of humanity. Today's Left embraces anti-human policies like the Green New Deal, uncontrolled crime, sterilizing children, unlimited abortion & destroying the nuclear family," Cruz wrote.
Someone else replied to Musk's post by writing, "Oddly, the ones wanting to eliminate others don't want to be eliminated themselves."
"Yeah, if someone is keen to have fewer humans on Earth, they should start with themselves !" Musk responded.
Musk also agreed with an individual who opined that "The anti-human & anti-natalist agenda is woven into the discourse of nearly every top political issue."

I recall when computers were introduced to the public. More freedom, more vacation time and improved standard of living. JP Morgan sings the praises of AI. Currently the corporate world is actively employing the uses of AI to reduce management overhead. Self checkouts, no employee's in fast food chains. Walmart just put cashiers back because theft went threw the roof. California just required a 20 dollar/ hour wage. Bye bye employees.

[PJ] There is absolutely nothing new about people thinking that they deserve more than they do. Granted, there are times when the circumstances surrounding those demands are more infuriating, such as in this case.
For the sake of this column, we are going to focus on what is happening in Chicago for several reasons. Chicago is certainly not the only location where Illegal immigrants are making demands, and they have not just started making them. The difference is that the conflict between the underlying delusion of what this city and other sanctuary cities envisioned and what its citizens are now being forced to endure in reality has been exposed.
For instance, I can call myself a king and I can walk around acting like one — that is, until I’m challenged. Then reality sets in. That is exactly what Chicago, New York, and every other sanctuary city did. They put themselves high on the hill, and they looked down their noses at other cities, especially those on the border. They never expected to see any immigrants. They played king, but now the delusion is over and reality has come crashing in.
Chicago and other cities that played king have had their gates breached, and the intruders are not playing nice. They are not the subservient peasants that were expected. In far too many cases, they are not grateful to be here; in fact, they are ungrateful, unruly, and disrespectful.
Chicago has been sent about 17,000 immigrants. That sounds like a lot, but compared to the small border towns, it’s a drop in a bucket. At first, city officials, still thinking like kings, assumed that accommodating the influx would be the only problem. It isn’t.

The Samara psychiatric hospital was located 8 miles from the city, near the village of Tomashev Kolok (now within the city limits). In December 1921, with the onset of frost, local peasants tore off the locks from the hospital sheds, stole all the firewood supplies, and there was nothing to heat the hospital with. For the New Year, there are only 3 days left of firewood supplies. There were 400 patients in the hospital.
The medical staff moved their own supplies of firewood there and everyone began to live in the hospital - surviving together.
The regional health department stepped up to the plate and allocated money for the purchase of fuel. However, local peasants, seeing such a thing and the apocalypse happening around, set a price tag: 6 pounds of meat, 1.5 pounds of millet and 50,000 rubles per cubic meter of firewood.
The price is absolutely unaffordable for a hospital where rations were already severely cut.
The peasants of the Semeykino dachas, which are 18 miles from the hospital, agreed to sell the firewood for a reasonable price. But the hospital did not have its own transport. We again turned to the gubernia health department with a request to help with transport.
The provincial health department, having absolutely no funds at its disposal, proposed a simple solution: to cut down the hospital park for firewood.
The mental hospital medical staff flatly refused, but then the fuel completely ran out. In order not to waste time, being on the verge of cold death, we turned to Epidcheck.
Epidcheka also immediately proposed cutting down the park. The doctors again flatly refused, arguing that the park is therapy for the mentally ill, the same as hospital equipment. The epidemic check went into detail, but there was no money, funds or free horses at hand, and the decision had to be made right here and now - otherwise tomorrow they would start dying from hypothermia in the mental hospital.

DECIDED: To release three horses to a psychiatric hospital. To take away the horses from the district health doctors. To allocate funds to the health doctors for the purchase of tram tickets."
They began to transport firewood from the Semeykino dachas.
But there is also hunger there - the locals began to demand payment in food. Sharing cut rations means starving ourselves. And in January-February there is a typhus hurricane, hundreds of corpses are buried in mass graves every day. Epidchek and Gubzdrav have no time for a mental hospital.
But doctors still go to Epidchek, to its chairman Antonov-Ovseyenko.
Antonov-Ovseenko, not as the Pre-Provincial Executive Committee, but as the chairman of the Epidchek, appeals to our Russian Red Cross Society and the Swedish Red Cross with a request to provide food to children's hospitals in Samara as quickly as possible.
Abroad, they initially intended to help only children - the Swedes are suspending the opening of kitchens in the Krasnoyarsk volost and throwing funds at children's hospitals. ROKK breaks out of railway traffic jams with its train.
On February 3, 1922, the ROKK and the Swedish Red Cross covered the food supply of all children's hospitals in the city of Samara with their funds. Soldiers from the Communist Epidemiological Squad have already been deployed to the hospitals, sealing them and preventing the staff from stealing products already allocated by the gubernia health department. These products are confiscated from city hospitals, which are now transferred to the Red Cross, and are sent to feed patients and staff of a psychiatric hospital.

Ukraine will soon be faced with a choice: whether to go on fighting, trying to prolong the war – or to make a deal while it can.
If Ukraine opened diplomatic discussions with Russia today it would still retain full control of its five most important cities: Kharkiv, Kiev, Dnipro, Odesa and L’viv. Its army would still remain viable.
Ukraine, in a settlement, could produce significant agricultural output and exports, raising revenue for the country (assuming Russian cooperation). Much of the self-exiled population might decide to return. That would depend on how much of Ukraine’s infrastructure remained after a settlement. Read the rest at the link

An interesting conflict of worldviews occurred the other day. It started with the fact that Albats (a foreign agent and generally not a good person), among the crimes of imperialism, remembered how the emperor forbade Gogol to write in Ukrainian. In the process, the foreign agent mixed up all possible dates, two rulers of Russia and delayed the adoption of restrictions on the use of the Ukrainian language by almost 50 years. Of course, this did not shake the liberal agenda of anti-imperialism, and stories about Ukrainian culture stolen by Russia went into circulation.
But that's not what's interesting. It turns out that the liberals have blown the dust off the absolutely Soviet manual about tsarism, which oppressed the Ukrainian language and identity. And the USSR, in contrast to the damned tsarist regime, grew this crop and raised it to heights: a tractor in a field of holes, holes, holes (Pavel Tychina). So, remember, liberals with Western diplomas and education give out verbatim the Soviet manual about how Gogol suffers in St. Petersburg, and he dreams of Dikanka and Sech.
And in Ukraine they said goodbye to this idea, after short attempts to appropriate Gogol, Chekhov (Taranrog in Ukraine), Bulgakov and others. It turned out that no matter what language you read them all in, you will not be imbued with the ideas of independence and the building of the Ukrainian nation. On the contrary, some unnecessary thoughts may come to mind about the brotherhood of peoples.
And so it turned out that all these people were not Ukrainian writers who suffered without their native language. And the agents of imperialism who put Ukrainians in the wrong light. And Gogol, in general, is one of the creators of the Russian image of the Little Russian. Which tsarism not only spread through Gogol throughout the world, but also used to break the spirit of the Ukrainian nation.
Who is this little guy? This is the opposite of a modern Ukrainian, a grave crime, even worse than being Russian. Maloros, from the point of view of a political Ukrainian, is not even Uncle Tom. This is a terrible creature that personally kills its motherland for the amusement of Muscovites. And Gogol created this Little Russian!
Of course, the question of what language Gogol from the Soviet past dreamed of, but could not write, in Ukraine is simply not relevant today. It is the Russians, be they liberals or patriots, who live with similar questions. But for Ukraine, Gogol is the most terrible enemy, and if he could spread his ideas in Ukrainian, he would be even more terrible.
It is interesting that Ukrainian sympathizers do not understand all this.

[Am Thinker] The Democrats are making no effort to hide their totalitarian impulses. Certainly, Hillary Clinton isn’t. In an interview this week with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. she suggested that Trump supporters were part of a cult and needed formal deprogramming.
Whatever the reason, you know, make America great again was a bid for nostalgia to return to a place where people could be in charge of their lives, feel empowered, say what they want, insult whoever came in their way. And that was really attractive to a significant portion of the Republican base. So, it is like a cult.
And somebody has to break that momentum.
Amanpour was visibly taken aback at this candor, but didn’t press her as to how and for whom this deprogramming was to occur. In the past, whenever a Republican candidate for any office made an outrageous comment -- and this was supremely outrageous -- every candidate of his party would be asked if he agreed with it. I’d suggest the RNC encourage its candidates to take the same tack.
Babylon Bee, my favorite satire site, made hay of this interview, “Viewers are perplexed by a CNN interview featuring a deranged old lady who recently escaped from an elder care facility, angrily ranting about wanting to ‘deprogram’ half of the nation’s population.”
But there’s nothing new and nothing funny about the totalitarian impulse on the Left. Last January a Rasmussen survey indicated that one-third of Democrats thought children should be removed from the homes of unvaccinated parents (despite the very low rate of COVID infections and mortality in children) and a whopping 50% of them wanted to imprison the unvaccinated.
Nor do we lack evidence that the Democrats have captured the intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies and used them to harass, muzzle, imprison and “unperson” those who dare to disagree with them.
Indeed, the same week Hillary advocated deprogramming, Newsweek (which just a few years ago claimed we are all socialists now) reported that the FBI seeks to track and counter Trump supporters.
The FBI and DHS report concludes: "Sociopolitical developments -- such as narratives of fraud in the recent general election, the emboldening impact of the violent breach of the U.S. Capitol, conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and conspiracy theories promoting violence -- will almost certainly spur some domestic terrorists to try to engage in violence."
The threats listed in that paragraph are all clearly associated with America's right and in particular with Trump's MAGA supporters. Right after January 6, the FBI co-authored a restricted report ("Domestic Violent Extremists Emboldened in Aftermath of Capitol Breach, Elevated Domestic Terrorism Threat of Violence Likely Amid Political Transitions and Beyond") in which it shifted the definition of AGAAVE ("anti-government, anti-authority violent extremism") from "furtherance of ideological agendas" to "furtherance of political and/or social agendas." For the first time, such groups could be so labeled because of their politics.
It was a subtle change, little noticed, but a gigantic departure for the Bureau. Trump and his army of supporters were acknowledged as a distinct category of domestic violent extremists, even as the FBI was saying publicly that political views were never part of its criteria to investigate or prevent domestic terrorism…
"We cannot and do not investigate ideology," a senior FBI official reassured the press after January 6. "We focus on individuals who commit or intend to commit violence or criminal activity that constitutes a federal crime or poses a threat to national security."
But the FBI went further in October 2022 when it created a new subcategory -- "AGAAVE-Other" -- of those who were a threat but do not fit into its anarchist, militia or Sovereign Citizen groups. Introduced without any announcement, and reported here for the first time, the new classification is officially defined as "domestic violent extremists who cite anti-government or anti-authority motivations for violence or criminal activity not otherwise defined, such as individuals motivated by a desire to commit violence against those with a real or perceived association with a specific political party or faction of a specific political party."
You’ll excuse me if I question the ability of the FBI to deal with the issue in a nonpartisan matter. We know how they violated the law when lying to the FISA court to snoop on the Trump campaign. This week we learned that it had the flash drive that authenticated Hunter Biden’s laptop weeks before the election and never disclosed that when 50 former intelligence officials publicly asserted that the laptop story had all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation.
That the Bureau has already been fully weaponized against MAGA supporters is beyond debate.

It is important to know that the majority of protesters on Jan. 6 were peaceful and that many of the individuals sentenced to years in jail did not do anything violent, and, in some cases, didn’t even enter the Capitol. Yet there were no consequences for violent pro-abortion activists who attacked and burned pro-life centers and churches, Antifa and BLM got off largely scot-free for burning and looting cities, and the government and media were strangely silent about violent “transurrections” at multiple state Capitols.
The FBI has been found untrustworthy and politically biased, and it isn’t likely to reform any time soon. In a statement to Newsweek, the agency asserted that it would “never open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity.” But its sincerity on that score seems highly suspect, based both on the revelation that Trump supporters are targeted more than other political groups and that the FBI was part of the Censorship Industrial Complex, according to The Twitter Files, not to mention that the FBI was planting spies in Catholic churches and pretending parents concerned about their kids’ schooling were domestic terrorists.
Looking at the treatment of dissenters from the democratic agenda, like Trump and Elon Musk, Robby Stark makes a persuasive case that the totalitarian impulse of the left is already in force:

[ X ] Why did Hamas stage a long-planned, carefully executed and multifaceted attack on Israeli towns, soldiers, and civilians—one designed to instill terror by executing noncombatants, taking hostages, and desecrating the bodies of the dead?
And how were the killers able to enter Israeli proper in enough numbers to kill what could be hundreds and perhaps eventually wound what could be thousands?
VDH recommends actions which should be taken in his last paragraph:
What should the U.S. instead do?
It should quit talking to Iran and restore full sanctions against it. It should cut off all aid immediately to all the Palestinians. It should undertake a 1973-like massive arms lift of key munitions to Israel and warn Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and others in the Middle East not to intervene or else, given that Israel will need several weeks to deal with Hamas and Gaza. And if it shows any hesitation or weakness, other terrorist groups will opportunistically jump in.
[Federalist] The Western world awoke Saturday morning to war in Israel, images of Hamas terrorists slaughtering Israeli civilians in the streets, and Hamas rockets raining down on Israeli neighborhoods. Israeli families were (and, as of this writing, still are) fleeing for their lives.
On social media, Hamas posted horrifying videos — a dead, naked Israeli woman being paraded through the streets, plainclothes Hamas fighters slitting the throats of civilians in their cars, and women and children being kidnapped and carried away to a fate worse than death.
The situation is fluid and developing, and there will be much to say in the days and weeks to come — about the Biden administration’s shameful and reckless appeasement of Iran, about the failures of the Netanyahu government to anticipate the attack, about the complicity of the emirate regimes and what they deserve now.
But one thing is immediately clear: Gaza will now be reduced to rubble. Israel, on the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, is once again in a fight for its existence, and the gloves will come off.
Given the long-established facts of the Israel-Palestinian question, this is as it should be. For all the talk about Nazis in Ukraine lately, the truth is that the real Nazis are in the Middle East, and they are all enemies of Israel. It’s time to deal with them for good. Hamas must be eradicated just as the Nazis were eradicated. Any end to this war that doesn’t achieve that will be a catastrophe for Israel.
For its part, the U.S. should make clear that it will veto any U.N. ceasefire resolution before Israel declares victory. And an actual victory will require Israel seizing control of all Gaza’s territory and then going house to house, seizing every weapon and killing everyone who doesn’t surrender. The Israelis will have to keep this up until the unconditional surrender of Hamas.

We have an election in Bavaria today but I'm just working on getting people aboard in my party to immediately halt asylum procedures (and support) for anyone showing support for Hamas (as happened in Berlin yesterday). With this government in Berlin, fat chance, but at least in Bavaria we will act.

Time to end the Palestinian problem forever. Take Gaza and the rest of it, drive out/kill everyone and declare it part of Israel now and forever. There will be no 'return'.

I am quite sure there is a massive, subterranean set of surprises awaiting the IDF ground assault, potentially with lots of Western/US hardware from Afghan rout and the corrupt Uke's side market sales. The IDF problem is your need for speed to inflict massive destruction proportionate to the horrors endured before world opinion inevitably goes sour from bleating liberal media. And that sense of urgency will almost certainly translate into command driven urgency before clearing/intel ops are fully conducted. A kind of Hobson's Choice I'm afriad my friends!

I was right. But this morning, a new wrinkle developed in the ongoing war. Hezbollah began firing rockets into northern Israel from Lebanon. Rather than quickly moving toward any sort of ceasefire, the war appears to be expanding. And at the bottom of all of this, Iran is clearly either pulling the strings or at least providing a tacit endorsement of the attacks.

^Deacon, it was in the morning (israel time). Hizbollah fired several mortars at empty hill and IDF replied with several 155 shells. Since then it was quiet.

So the people are just useful tools. They mean little. Turn off the water or kill them and the world will turn against Israel. This IS a proxy war with Iran. Turn Teheran into rubble and it will end. The people living there will settle down.

Just like in 1973, if Israel responded to the signs - the enemy would postpone. Also, Israelis repeatedly make the mistake of assuming that Palestininian leadership cares about their People.
Just wait a couple of days to hear the whole world: East and West; screeching about the terrible devastation of the brutally inhumane Israeli onslaught on Palestinian civilians.
