[Federalist] Let me introduce you to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Like other powerful health authorities, they refuse to inform women of the lifelong increased risk of breast cancer for anyone who has ever taken the pill. It seems that the "benefits" of barrenness trump even the power of pink ribbons. That’s not all: America’s most powerful pediatric voice is also refusing to inform young women of the mental health risks of hormonal contraception, even as we are living through an unprecedented teen mental health crisis, with depression and suicides rising.
Note that there are a number of national medical societies of each specialty. Some are much more political than others, andthe number of members varies significantly.
The link between hormonal contraception and depression — and even a threefold higher suicide rate — is not new to The Federalist’s readers, nor to countless women around the world, nor to anyone familiar with the massive European studies involved. Do the nation’s pediatricians counsel their families that starting birth control might contribute to depression and even suicide? No. The AAP’s contraception "explainer," aimed at parents and children, highlights "improved acne" but does not include a word about depression. Similarly, the AAP’s official policy statement on contraception, designed to help guide clinical practice, stays mum on mental health — though does once again highlight that acne-fighting power!
Interestingly, elsewhere in the AAP’s work, the focus on depression seems almost parodically exaggerated. Last year’s policy statement on "The Adolescent’s Right to Confidential Care When Considering Abortion" reveals that the official stance of America’s pediatricians is to advocate for early access to abortion in order to reduce depression — and, what’s more, to keep those abortions secret because informing parents may pose "psychological harm" to the teenager. The statement puts the AAP firmly in the mainstream of modern medical practice, where it is commonplace to argue that we must increase abortion in order to prevent suicide.
Abortion policy is not the only sphere the AAP uses to selectively trumpet a concern over teen mental health. Just this month, in its article on "Health Equity and the Impact of Racism on Adolescent Health," the AAP’s flagship journal sounds the alarm about the immigration debate: "Structural racism in federal antiimmigrant policies in the last 5 years has skyrocketed rates of anxiety and depression among Latine AYA [adolescents and young adults]." The AAP goes out of its way to link debates over border policy to mental health, yet keeps oddly quiet when faced with far stronger evidence of the psychiatric risks of birth control.
While the AAP claims that avoiding suicide is reason enough to broaden abortion access, it seems to take trans suicide in its stride. We know that trans identification dramatically increases the risk of suicide, according to pro-trans organizations themselves, and yet the AAP enthusiastically embraces and affirms trans ideology.
Let’s recap some potential suicide prevention strategies, as seen through the eyes of our medical community:
Open borders? Yes, please!
Kill your unborn child? You go girl — and it’ll stay our little secret!
Ban chemical castration and genital mutilation? Whoa now, don’t embrace hate!
Just say no to mood-altering hormonal contraception? *Crickets*
Theme of Depopulation
Aside from the nakedly partisan political bent of their activism, there is a clear pattern of supporting any intervention that either kills babies or causes sterility. The medical profession, with the help of Big Pharma, has long been engaged in a war on childhood — but this is something new, a war on fertility itself.
The sad truth is that the medical community is now staunchly, openly anti-life. They are not going to inform your child about the mental health dangers inherent in hormonal contraception or in the denial of biological sex. They are far too busy, as these leading Harvard Medical School professors put it last year in the AAP’s flagship publication, sounding "a national call to action for pediatric residency programs to formalize training in reproductive health and justice."

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] *shrug* It’s a fashionable thing to say nowadays. I have niece who claims to be bisexual, though she is now living with the same man who was her boyfriend since eighth grade.

Wait til they find out "saying" they are gainfully employed and solvent isn't the same as being that way.

the CDC doesn't actually have data on this as far as I can tell
what they do have is access to many 'studies' done by Universities, NGOs, education departments and so forth - and many of these studies are 'on line' stuff where people answering are self selected
CDC has amalgamated this to produce the headline
the inclusion of a 'questioning' category adds a ton of additional ambiguity to this 'research'

I would too. Sounds like a good idea to tell your school you are at least entertaining the idea of converting, just to get along until you pass out. Imagine the pressure to conform and the non-stop harassment by the fags and mad hatters.
"It's true, Mrs. Shamrock. Jim and I are a couple now! We suck each off in the lavatory every day!"
"I'm so proud of you both."
[Jim and Bob later exclaim...]
"EWWW!"
And then they have a good laugh and no one bothers them again. They have conformed to the new normal.
But that would be like a survival mechanism in such an environment, no?
Real World Rule Number 1: It's not a war crime if you don't lose. by Spencer Baculi
[BoundingIntoComics] In one of the most out-of-touch attempts in recent memory at spreading awareness of the realities of war, the International Committee of the Red Cross has called on first-person shooter players to follow the real-world Rules of War when answering the call of duty on their respective digital battlefields.
“Every day, people play games set in conflict zones right from their couch,” reads the official website for the ICRC’s ‘Play By The Rules’ campaign.
“But right now, armed conflicts are more prevalent than ever,” the organization continues. “And to the people suffering from their effects, this conflict is not a game. It destroys lives and leaves communities devastated. Therefore, we’re challenging you to play FPS by the real Rules of War, to show everyone that even wars have rules—rules which protect humanity on battlefields IRL.”
Composed of various treaties, laws, and charters adopted over human history such as the Hauge Convention of 1907 and the modern-era Geneva Conventions, the rules of war generally seek to strike a humanitarian balance between “weakening the enemy and limiting suffering”.
To this end, the ICRC recommends four-specific rules – all of which are found in the aforementioned Geneva Conventions – for players to follow during games, including:
No Thirsting – When an enemy is down and can’t respond, you can’t keep shooting at them. (Based on the Convention’s Article 13, which states “prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.”
No Targeting Non-Violent NPCs – Bots that don’t fire unprovoked are considered civilians, and you can’t target or harm them. (Based on Additional Protocol II, Article 13(3) which states “The civilian population as such, as well as individual civilians, shall not be the object of attack. Acts or threats of violence the primary purpose of which is to spread terror among the civilian population are prohibited […] unless and for such time as they take a direct part in hostilities.”
No Targeting Civilian Buildings – In any given game map, houses, schools, or hospitals are considered safe zones that you cannot harm. When fighting in these spaces, you must do everything you can to avoid damage. (Based on the 1977 Additional Protocol I, which states “Places or areas designated for the sole protection of civilians, such as hospital zones or similar refuges, should not be the object of military operations.”
Use Med Kits on Everyone – If you have an unused med kit that works on others, you must give it to those who need it—be they friendly or enemy. (Based on Geneva Convention II Article 12, which states”Members of the armed forces and other persons mentioned in the following Article, who are wounded or sick, shall be respected and protected in all circumstances. They shall be treated humanely and cared for by the Party to the conflict in whose power they may be, without any adverse distinction founded on sex, race, nationality, religion, political opinions, or any other similar criteria.”
In promotion of this campaign, the ICRC partnered with five streamers – DanucD, Zemie, Jukeyz, KingGeorge, and Gingy – to host a six-hour Twitch livestream on April 15th wherein they each ‘played by the rules’ in different games – PubG Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Escape From Tarkov, respectively.
Further, the ICRC created a custom Fornite island named after the campaign and invited players to “learn to follow REAL Rules of War in this competitive mode”.

It could lead to a new genre where you have to operate under restrictive political Pentagon ROEs and try not to get yourself blown up or prosecuted.

[American Thinker] Just yesterday was saw more proof that the mainstream media in the U.S. and beyond are P.R. agencies for the Democrats.
The media gave great prominence to former president Obama, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, and rock star Bruce Springsteen making a surprise appearance at a Barcelona restaurant with a last-minute dinner reservation on Thursday.
The BBC carried details about the restaurateur being surprised by the visit and what he served his guests. There were details about the monument that the Obamas, Spielberg, and Springsteen visited.
Most articles mentioned restaurant staff member Pol Perello posting a photo on Instagram of the staff and chefs posing with the celebrity trio.
Let’s overlook the fact that owing to the nature of Obama's security he cannot actually make impromptu appearances without the Secret Service doing a full inspection of the place and its surroundings — the restaurant must have known well in advance about the appearance.
Let's subject Obama’s friends to the diversity criteria stated on the Democrat website that most liberals love to do when they post any group photo of human beings.
How many people of color? — None.
How many members were from the LGBT+ community? — None.
How many were from lower-income groups? — None.
How many from minority groups — None.
How many foreigners — None.
How many persecuted illegal migrants — None.
How many persons with disabilities - None.
How many ethnic Americans? - None.
How many Latinos? — None.
How many Native Americans? None.
How many rural Americans? None.
How many seniors and retirees? — None.
How many small business community members? - None.
How many worker union members? None.
How many veterans or members of military families? None.
How many women? None.
How many young people and students? None.
So how can Obama’s friends in Barcelona be described?
They are white, influential, powerful, and very wealthy.
Most of Obama's friends and neighbors are from this category. Most of Obama’s backers, when he was president, were also from this group. In fact, the Obama presidency was dedicated to serving this group; even some liberal outfits realized that.
But if you listen to Obama’s wife Michelle, this group is causing irreparable damage to America.
If you watch liberal outfits such as MSNBC or read Democrat mouthpiece such as the New York Times, you would think that this very group need to be destroyed if America has to survive.
[BEE] WASHINGTON, D.C. — The White House today turned over press conference duties to President Biden's cue card, who hosted the press corps solo as Biden himself was out sick.
"We have no idea how this inanimate cue card had typed-up, bullet point answers for every single question - but wow!" said Press Secretary Karine Jeanne-Perre. "That cue card gave an absolutely flawless performance out there."
Reporters were really, genuinely shocked to discover the small slip of paper had pre-printed answers to all of their tough questions. "It's a mystery is what it is," said L.A. Times reporter Courtney Subramanian. "I don't know how it outsmarted me on every answer it gave. I mean, I definitely, definitely didn't give anyone these questions ahead of time. That cue card is simply dynamite!"
With the cue card seeming to have every question and answer pre-written, sources inside the White House began questioning if humans ought to even be present at future press conferences. "It seems a bit redundant at this point," said Biden aide Margot Reynolds. "The cue card already has all the questions and answers, so we might as well just let it do the work. Plus, it would really cut down on all the gaffes KJP has to explain. That cue card might be the best player on our team."
At publishing time, the cue card announced that it would participate in primary debates while Biden was out on vacation.
[Daily Reckoning] Billed as the most in-depth interview yet, the New York Times published a very long piece that contains some rather startling admissions, claims, and defenses from Anthony Fauci, the face of lockdowns and shot mandates.
The author and interviewer is David Wallace-Wells, who before (and now after) Covid specialized in writing about climate change, invokes every predictable trope. So there was a sense in which this interview was a lovefest between the two. Still it netted some interesting results.
Here are my top-ten picks of Fauci quotes.
1. Fauci: "Something clearly went wrong. And I don’t know exactly what it was. But the reason we know it went wrong is that we are the richest country in the world, and on a per-capita basis we’ve done worse than virtually all other countries."
This seems promising but one quickly realizes that there is an axiom among the people responsible for lockdowns. They were completely correct in their thinking. The problem was not enough centralization, prior planning, or resources.
Also there was too much disinformation and non-compliance, leading to a low vaccine uptake compared with other countries. The vaccines are the miracle and the greatest achievement of the pandemic, a point on which they admit no argument.
This is also the conclusion of a thing called The Covid Crisis Group (funded mostly by the Charles Koch and Rockefeller Foundations) which has released the new book Lessons from the Covid War: An Investigative Report. There is no PDF. You have to buy it. The lead author is the well-known fixer Philip Zelikow, who wrote the 9-11 Commission report.
Included among the team is none other than Carter Mecher, who bears more responsibility for school closings than anyone else. Also there is Rajeev Venkayya, the one-time Bush administration official who is widely credited with having invented the very concept of lockdowns.
It’s their story and they are sticking to it.
2. Fauci on vaccine mandates: "Man, I think, almost paradoxically, you had people who were on the fence about getting vaccinated thinking, why are they forcing me to do this? And that sometimes-beautiful independent streak in our country becomes counterproductive. And you have that smoldering anti-science feeling, a divisiveness that’s palpable politically in this country."
If you didn’t think you needed the vaccine or didn’t trust it, Fauci proclaims that you are responsible for divisiveness and anti-science feeling. The "independent streak" is called freedom, which for him is the real problem. The lesson for next time? Hard to know. Maybe he thinks the mandates should have been enforced with more energy.
3. Fauci on the economics of the lockdowns: "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is not an economic organization. The surgeon general is not an economist. So we looked at it from a purely public-health standpoint.
It was for other people to make broader assessments — people whose positions include but aren’t exclusively about public health. Those people have to make the decisions about the balance between the potential negative consequences of something versus the benefits of something."
There we go with the great divide between public health and real life, as if one does not impact the other. Public health cared not for economics — the science of human cooperation — and, sadly, the economists were too often unschooled on public health. The compartmentalization of speciality fields played into the haphazard totalitarianism we experienced.
But there’s more — a lot more. Read on to see Fauci’s other important quotes, and what they really mean.
