Taliban Detain Rights Activist’s Brother Three Months After Arresting Him in Kabul
[8a.m.] In a concerning development, sources from Kabul have reported that the Taliban

activist Shamsurrahman Rahiq, have now detained his younger brother.

According to informed sources in the city, the Taliban arrested Mohammad Mehrban Morshed on Wednesday, August 23rd, from Kabul’s third security district. The details of his whereabouts remain undisclosed.

Mohammad Mehrban Morshed is a third-year student at Kabul University, as per sources. The Taliban’s grounds for his arrest, however, remain unknown.

As of now, the Taliban has not issued any official statement regarding this matter.

It’s worth mentioning that on May 24, 2023, the Taliban intelligence forces arrested Shamsurrahman Rahiq for the second time in Kabul. Rahiq is a prominent human rights activist and resident of the Dara district of Panjshir province.

Rahiq is also reported to have previously worked as a staff member for the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), although the organization has not yet commented on his case.

Based on the published reports, it is noted that about a year ago, the Taliban had forcibly taken Shamsurrahman Rahiq’s father from his home in Panjshir and shot him. His father was a former member of the previous government’s army.

Freedom Front claims attack on Taliban outpost near Kabul
[AmuTV] The Freedom Front, an anti-Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
military faction, has claimed to have attacked a Taliban outpost in the Qara Bagh district to the north of Kabul. The attack reportedly took place in the early hours of Thursday morning.

In a statement, the Freedom Front reported that their operation resulted in the deaths of two Taliban members, with an additional five sustaining injuries.

The strike occurred at 1:30 am on Thursday in the Qara Bagh district, near the Kabul-Parwan gate.

The Freedom Front said that none of its own members incurred injuries during the attack.

As of now, the Taliban has not issued any commentary on this incident.

This follows a significant escalation in offensives by anti-Taliban factions throughout August. According to their released statements, these operations have reportedly led to the death of numerous Taliban members.

Daily Evacuation Brief August 25, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • TALIBAN CLAIM TO HAVE ARRESTED 2 SUSPECTS IN THE KILLING OF HORA SADAT IN KABUL – Sadat was a popular female YouTube sensation with more than 300,000 followers on the service. It was announced that she had been killed on Monday and the arrests took place yesterday in Kabul. The identities of the suspects and motivations behind her murder have not been released yet. Taliban officials say the investigation is continuing and there may be more arrests in the coming days.

  • SOME FEMALE DUBAI SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ALLOWED TO DEPART KABUL, SCORES REMAIN LEFT BEHIND – As many as 5 of the female students who had received scholarships to study in the United Arab Emirates but were barred from boarding their plane in Kabul yesterday have reportedly been allowed to travel. It is estimated that 85-95 remain in Kabul after Taliban security personnel turned them back from boarding their flights. The women were reportedly told that the security personnel had been ordered to hold any people who were traveling on student visas. Officials from the UAE are attempting to find a solution to the impasse. A source in Kabul said that there were concerns raised by the Interior Ministry that some of the visas had been copied and given to others who were not officially accepted into the program and this is what led to the decision at the airport. However, this information has not been confirmed.

  • AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL PROPOSES THE APPLICATION OF UNIVERSAL JURISDICTION BE APPLIED TO MEMBERS OF THE TALIBAN – Amnesty says that the recent report issued by UNAMA which documents the killings, torture, and detention of former government officials and soldiers of the former regime is cause enough to invoke its use. Universal Jurisdiction is most commonly used in cases involving war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity. There are many concerns about the potential misuse of the convention, but Amnesty indicates that it would provide any country the ability to prosecute Taliban members for violations. It is not clear yet how the application would affect the Taliban but it is possible that the threat of its use may restrain some who have acted with impunity since the fall of Kabul.

  • Kabul: A strike team from the AFF struck a Taliban checkpoint in the Qara Bagh neighborhood yesterday during the early morning hours. The AFF reportedly killed 2 Taliban fighters in the attack while suffering 1 wounded among their own.

Sudan cancels diplomatic passports of RSF Leaders, political figures
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revoked the diplomatic passports of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) leaders and several former bigwigs in the civilian transitional government.

In an official circular disseminated on August 20, the Sudanese Foreign Ministry issued a directive to diplomatic missions, instructing them to promptly inform the relevant authorities in their host countries about the withdrawal of diplomatic privileges from a group of 24 individuals, all of whose names were meticulously listed in the document.

Moreover, the circular directed these missions to provide the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with comprehensive photographic documentation of passport images linked to leaders belonging to "rebel groups and the Forces for Freedom and Change- Central Council."

Among those affected by this decision are Mohammed Hamad Daglo, commonly known as "Hemetti," who leads the RSF, as well as his spouse and his brother Abdel Rahim Daglo, the RSF’s deputy leader. Additionally, the list encompasses former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, Sovereign Council member Mohammed al-Faki Suleiman, and Khaled Omer Youssef, who previously held the position of Cabinet Affairs Minister. Notably, former Foreign Minister Maryam Sadiq al-Mahdi and two former career ambassadors, Omer Manis and Noureddine Satti, are also part of the group impacted by this decision.

Reacting to the development, Youssef downplayed its significance, asserting that it underscores the grip of the previous regime over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In statements given to al-Hadath TV, he revealed that he has refrained from utilizing his diplomatic passport since his departure from the ministry.

"This decision exposes the narrow-mindedness of individuals from the former regime who have seized power. Our nation is currently grappling with an unparalleled crisis and is perilously close to significant dangers. However,
a woman is only as old as she admits...
they seem to be engrossed in trivial matters," he further stressed.

Al-Burhan inspects Sudanese troops in Omdurman following repelled RSF attack
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Sudan’s Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, made his first appearance in Omdurman since the eruption of war, hours after Sudanese forces successfully repulsed an assault on the Armoured Corps to the south of Khartoum.

On Wednesday, the Sudanese army dispatched reinforcements and, with the backing of the Air Force, managed to thwart an incursion by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the eastern sector of the expansive Armoured Corps headquarters, spanning 20 km.

In the early hours of Thursday, video clips and images emerged from the Sudanese army, showing al-Burhan amongst soldiers at the Wadi Sayedna military base, situated south of Omdurman. He also engaged with residents of the Karari suburb.

Addressing his soldiers in an impromptu speech, al-Burhan asserted, "Our armed forces are defending Sudan, not any particular party, faction, or group," he said addressing accusations of alignment with Islamists.

This marks his first visit to Omdurman since April 15th; however, prior to this, he had made four appearances with his troops in Khartoum.

Al-Burhan’s appearance followed the Sudanese army’s declaration a day earlier, proclaiming their control over the Armoured Corps headquarters, and their successful repulsion of a forceful RSF attack on the site.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Sudanese military launched fierce counter-offensives against the RSF which had managed to breach the army’s defences along the eastern flank of the sprawling camp, a complex encompassing facilities such as a hospital and military penitentiary.

In response to the RSF’s utilization of residential rooftops around the camp for tactical advantage, military aircraft conducted strikes on these structures, aiming to neutralize threats within the eastern segment of the military compound.

Al-Burhan’s arrival in Omdurman, accompanied by a substantial contingent of forces, underscores the army’s accomplishment in curtailing the RSF’s deployment in the capital, subsequent to the onset of military operations in July.

"We are gearing up for a significant operation that will reassure our citizens, demonstrating the courage of Sudanese soldiers," al-Burhan conveyed to his troops before departing.

The Sudanese army declined regional and international efforts to end the fight against the RSF, hoping to achieve a major victory before engaging in a political process to end the nearly five-month armed conflict.

Sudan: Heavy fighting in Khartoum for control of a strategic military base
[AFRICANEWS] For the fourth day in a row, violent mostly peaceful fighting pitted the army against paramilitaries trying to dislodge the military from a strategic base in Khartoum on Wednesday, according to local residents.

General Mohammed Hamdane Daglo's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched an assault on Sunday from several directions on this vast base housing army armoured units in the south of the capital.

On the first day of festivities, both sides suffered "heavy casualties", residents of various parts of the al-Chajara district, where the base is located, told AFP. Fighting had ceased for only an hour throughout the day. "This is the longest fighting we've seen in al-Chajara", said one of them, reached by telephone from Wad Madani, south-east of Khartoum.

Since then, the army has issued several communiqués and videos assuring that it has repelled the paramilitary attacks, while the RSF has claimed since Wednesday that it has "taken control of almost the entire base, with only small pockets still held" by the army. It is not possible to verify independently what each camp controls.

Since the outbreak of the war between the army led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhane and the RSF on April 15, both sides have claimed to hold strongholds in Khartoum, although they are still fighting over control of them, such as the army HQ and the presidential palace.

The war has claimed almost 5,000 lives, according to the NGO ACLED. But the real corpse count is likely to be much higher, with many areas of the country, mainly in western Darfur, cut off from the rest of the world without telephone or internet access, and many bodies caught in the crossfire inaccessible. Both sides refuse to give details of their losses.

In four months, more than four million people have been forced to leave their homes, according to the UN. Its coordinator for humanitarian affairs, Martin Griffiths, again pleaded on Tuesday for "the parties to stop the fighting and let aid through".

"Aid routes are blocked and food stocks are dwindling", he said, while more than one in three Sudanese need humanitarian aid to survive.

of West African Province (ISWAP), were reportedly killed on Wednesday after an infighting that broke out between the terror groups in Borno State, North East region of Nigeria.

Sources said that the ISWAP gunnies who came on several canoes attacked the Bakoura Buduma-led faction of Boko Haram in Duguri axis in Kukawa Local Government Area of the state.

A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the information on the rival war between the Death Eater groups said that the bloody infighting led to the killing of fighters on both sides amounting to over 41 including some commanders of the groups.

According to Makama, the ISWAP dealt a heavy blow on the Boko Haram gunnies leaving many of their commanders dead.

A source whose identity was not revealed reportedly identified some of the Boko Haram commanders killed during the fight to include Modu Kayi, Abbah Musa, Isa Muhammed, Ibrahim Ali, Kanai Zakariya and Bula Salam, Isuhu Alhaji Umaru, Dogo Salman and Abdulrahman Malam Musa among others.

Recall that rival festivities between Boko Haram and ISWAP have become increasingly frequent and intense, especially in Borno state's Sambisa forest and the Lake Chad region with ISWAP said to be having an upper hand following defection of a former chief of operation of Boko Haram, Abou Idris, who joined ISWAP to fight his former group.

Mozambique: Army kills two senior rebel leaders in Cabo Delgado
[AFRICANEWS] Mozambique's army has killed two senior rebel leaders in the northern province of Cabo Delgado, which is in the grip of an armed jihadist insurgency, it announced on Wednesday.

"Terrorist Abu Kital, who held the position of deputy operations commander for the Al Sunna Wall Jamat terrorist group,
...the old name of Islamic State Central Africa Province-Mozambique (ISCAP), whence they moved in 2015 from the Congo, following the probable death of their original emir Abu Yasir Hassan of Tanzania (aka Yaseer Hassan and Abu Qasim), who moved between Mocimboa da Praia and the Congo. Familiarly known as Al Shabaab-Mozambique because they got themselves trained in jihading by the Al Qaeda-linked Somali Sahboobs, they fund themselves through heroin, contraband, ivory, raiding, and selling the local girls into slavery...
was rubbed out," the Mozambique Defense Forces (FADM) announced in a statement.

Another jihadist, Ali Mahando, who "held important responsibilities within the terrorist group", was also killed, they added.

Rich in natural gas, the Moslem-majority province of Cabo Delgado has been gripped for five years by an insurgency led by fighters linked to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group. The fighting has claimed at least 4,737 lives, almost half of them civilians, according to the conflict-monitoring organization ACLED, and around a million inhabitants have fled their homes.

According to the FADM, the bandidos bully boys ambushed the soldiers, but one of their vehicles "overturned on a bridge and caught fire". The two rebel leaders were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire, and no soldiers were maimed, the same source added.

The army did not specify when the clash took place, but other sources said it had occurred on Tuesday.

Since July 2021, thousands of troops from Rwanda and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have been deployed to support the Mozambican army, and have since helped regain control of much of Cabo Delgado.

Europe
Polish PM: Rape of 18-year-old Polish male by Afghan migrant in Germany was due to EU’s ‘open borders’ policies
[RMXnews] Following the hours-long homosexual rape of an 18-year-old male Polish citizen by a 20-year-old Afghan male migrant on an underground train platform in Munich, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has commented on the case, saying it was due to "open borders" policies pushed by the EU and certain politicians.

"A young Pole in Munich was raped by an Afghan immigrant. These are the effects of the open border policy pushed by the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, (head of the European People’s Party) Mr. Manfred Weber, and his representative in Poland, Donald Tusk. Do we want such a Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
in Poland?" asked Morawiecki in a post on Facebook.

The attacker accosted his intoxicated victim on a Munich subway platform before subjecting him to a sexual assault that lasted for several hours

Remix News reported about the homosexual rape case involving the Polish male on Tuesday. The culprit, who has been detained by the German police, took advantage of the fact that the young Pole was returning from a party and under the influence of alcohol fell asleep in an underground station in Munich.

Morawiecki elaborated in his post that Poland " is one of the safest countries on the continent, and the Law and Justice (PiS) government invests huge funds in the army, police and protection of Polish borders."

"These are the effects of the open borders policy being forced through by the EU, Manfred Weber and their representative in Poland Donald Tusk," Morawiecki posted on Facebook.

Morawiecki also hit back at opposition politicians who have claimed that the ruling PiS is setting Poles against migrants colonists. "We are not stigmatizing anybody. We are governing responsibly. The same cannot be said of the opposition when it was in government. We will all decide what kind of security policy Poland needs at the ballot box on October 15."

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday called in a representative of the German Embassy to discuss the case. The ministry handed in a statement saying that such situations are likely to occur again. This is why there is a need for an information campaign to raise awareness of the danger of such crimes being committed in Western European countries.

While foreigners make up 14 percent of the population, they account for 50 percent of all gang rapes in Germany

The Polish ministry declared that Poland is willing to participate in such an information campaign. The ministry also asked for full cooperation from the German police with the Polish consular services to ensure all possible help is given to the victim.

Germany has suffered a rising degree of rape cases tied to open borders in recent years. For example, last year the country saw a record increase in gang rape cases, with half of the suspects being of foreign origin.
Fourteen percent of the population, half of the gang rapes — an interesting statistic. It makes one wonder what the ratio is of non-gang rapes...

Police attach property registered in name of grandfather of 'terror associate' in Bandipora
[GreaterKashmir] The Bandipora police on Thursday attached property registered in the name of grandfather of a 'terror associate' in Bandipora that was allegedly being used as a hideout by LeT terrorists.

In a notice issued under the provisions of Section 2511 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, the police attached the property of 'terror associate' Mehboob Ul Inam Shah, a resident of Nadihal Bandipora.

"The land which was attached measured 4 marlas under Khasra No 384 and is registered in the name of Salam Shah S/o Naba Shah (Grandfather) of accused, under 'Proceeds of Terrorism' in Case FIR No 112/2022 under sections 18,19,20,23,38,39 UA(P) Act,7/25 LA Act, of Police Station Bandipora."

A police officer in Bandipora told Greater Kashmir

They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. Mobilization security arrests two ISIS fighters in their possession medium weapons and sticky bombs in Nineveh
[NINANEWS] Detachments of the General Directorate of Security and Discipline of the Popular Mobilization Forces overthrew today, Thursday, two members of ISIS, in Nineveh.

The Popular Mobilization Authority stated in a statement that this qualitative operation took place after monitoring and following up two elements with a security status in ISIS, Nineveh Province, Kirkuk Province (Al-Bilawi Division - Abd al-Rahman al-Bilawi) and the other element works in the so-called (Diwan al-Jund)

‘Accidental explosion’ at facility kills Hamas member, Gazan authorities say
[IsraelTimes] An explosion rips through a Hamas site in the central Gaza Strip, Palestinian authorities say, killing one member of the terrorist group and seriously wounding another.

The Gaza-based interior ministry does not reveal the cause of the blast, but says it killed Ashraf Hussein, a member of Hamas’ military wing, the Qassam Brigades.

The Qassam Brigades acknowledges that Hussein was killed in what the group describes as an accidental explosion.

There was no information about what kind of terrorist facility was affected in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, or about the extent of damage caused. Gaza’s Hamas rulers have a number of training sites and underground facilities used for manufacturing weapons and storing raw rocket material. Accidental explosions have been reported in the past at bomb laboratories and munitions storehouses.

Shin Bet: 4 Israelis arrested as part of Hezbollah ‘weapons smuggling ring’
[IsraelTimes] Residents of Kafr Qasim and Lod were recruited by Iran-backed terror group ’for the purpose of distributing unusual illegal weapons to various parties,’ security agency says.

The Shin Bet security agency revealed on Thursday that in July, four Israeli citizens were arrested for suspected ties to the Hezbollah terror group, and were allegedly involved in smuggling Iranian-made bombs into the country.

According to the Shin Bet, three residents of the northern Arab town of Kafr Qasim were arrested over suspicions they had smuggled into Israel "a large number of quality weapons." The agency said two Iranian-made bombs, among other weapons, were seized during their arrest.

In a separate raid in the central city of Lod, security forces arrested another Israeli planning to use a similar bomb for a criminal-related bombing.

"The Shin Bet investigation revealed that Hezbollah worked to recruit and operate an infrastructure of smugglers in Israel for the purpose of distributing unusual illegal weapons to various parties, including criminal elements," the agency said in a statement.

The Shin Bet named the suspects as Jalal Khursa, 28, Ahmed Issa, 30, and Muhammed Issa, 39, from Kafr Qasim, and Nuh Assam, 30, from Lod. They were indicted Wednesday on various weapons offenses, prompting the agency to publicize details of the investigation.

An image released by the Shin Bet showed one of the bombs, which resembled a Claymore mine.

"This affair once again illustrates the efforts of terror elements from Hezbollah and Iran

The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. to exploit the Arab citizens of Israel for [terror] activities against the state," a senior Shin Bet official said.

"It also emerged in the investigation that the line between [terror] and criminal [activity] is extremely thin," the official added.

Hezbollah has been accused in the past of being involved in weapons and drug smuggling attempts from Leb

into Israel.

Police officials have previously warned that arms smuggled into the country, heading to criminal organizations in the Arab community, would also be available for terror attacks in the event of a surge in violence between Jews and Arabs.

There have been calls in recent months for the Shin Bet to step in to assist police with cracking down on a deadly crime surge in Arab communities, as well as other criminal activity.

The agency is already tasked with assisting the military and police in foiling the smuggling of weapons into Israel, as illegal firearms, or explosives, could also be used for terror, and terror groups are sometimes involved in smuggling attempts.

The vast majority of illegal guns in Israel and the West Bank are thought to have been smuggled into the country via Jordan, with far fewer attempts from Lebanon.

In late July, the military foiled an unusual weapons smuggling attempt from Jordan. The type of weapon and its origins were not cleared for publication amid the ongoing investigation.

Front) in raids carried out by Russian fighter jets on the HTS headquarters in Idlib.

Two military convoys of the Ottoman Turkish forces, including more than 50 military and logistical vehicles and armored vehicles, entered through the Kafr Lossin border crossing, north of Idlib, into Syrian territory. The vehicles headed to the Ottoman Turkish military posts in the southern countryside of Idlib, a military source told North Press.

The convoys included more than 25 armored vehicles with more than 10 trucks carrying tanks and heavy artillery, in addition to ammunition.

The Ottoman Turkish reinforcements coincided with air raids launched by Russian fighter jets on the HTS hideouts on the outskirts of the village of Ain Shib, west of Idlib, and the village of Musaybin in Jabal al-Arbaeen area, south of Idlib, using highly explosive missiles.

The raids targeted a former water pumping station in the village of Ain Shib which resulted in the killing of two civilians and injuring five others, including children and women, the source added.

Government shelling on opposition sites in Syria’s Idlib injures 5

[NPASyria] Five people, including three members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front), were injured on Thursday due to an artillery shelling by the Syrian government forces on sites in Idlib and Aleppo governorates, northwest Syria.

Two people were injured with shrapnel in the village of Kafr Nouran, west of Aleppo, and three HTS members were also injured in the countryside of the city of Saraqib, east of Idlib, a source told North Press.

The source said the HTS responded to the government’s shelling and targeted the Urum al-Kubra and Base 46, which are under the government forces’ control, in the west of Aleppo.

Over the past few days, the de-escalation zone witnessed a military escalation and intense mutual shelling between the HTS and the government forces. Russian warplanes also intensified their airstrikes on the region over the past three days.

Although the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is subject to a Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement signed in March 2020, the area witnesses frequent mutual bombardment despite the entry of the ceasefire into force.

Violent clashes erupt between government forces, HTS in NW Syria

[NPASyria] Clashes erupted on Wednesday night between the Syrian government forces and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) on contact lines in the western countryside of Aleppo, northwestern Syria, amid a military escalation in the region.

A military source within the Syrian opposition told North Press violent clashes with heavy weapons between the government forces and the HTS erupted near the Regiment 46 and Kafr Amma in the western countryside of Aleppo after HTS detected movements of the government forces.

The clashes lasted for more than two and a half hours, without reporting casualties among the two parties, that exchanged shelling in Zawiya Mountain in the south of Idlib, the source added.

Unknown attackers kill, wound HTS militants in Syria’s Aleppo

[NPASyria] Unidentified assailants carried out on Wednesday an armed attack against a military vehicle of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) in the town of Darat Izza, west of Aleppo, killing one militant and injuring another.

An exclusive source told North Press that unknown individuals attacked an HTS military vehicle with light weapons at 8 PM on the road leading to Darat Izza while they were heading towards the village of Kafr Lossin, north of Idlib, damaging their vehicle, killing one militant, and injuring the other.

He added that the attack was carried out by unknown individuals riding motorcycles and carrying light weapons. Such kind of attacks has started happening since June 18.

This is the sixth attack in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo since early August, with the HTS being unable to determine the identity of the attackers.

HTS shells Assad's hometown

[AlAhram] Shelling hit the hometown of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the coastal province of Latakia on Wednesday, wounding a civilian, state media said, the second such attack in two months.

"Five shells were fired by terrorist groups deployed in the northern countryside on agricultural lands in the Qardaha area, wounding a citizen," the official news agency SANA said, quoting a police source.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said a civilian was wounded in the attack that was carried out early in the morning by factions affiliated with the jihadist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group.

HTS, led by Syria's former Al-Qaeda affiliate, controls swathes of Idlib province as well as parts of the adjacent provinces of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia.

In the previous attack on Qardaha, a civilian was killed in a drone strike on June 23, the British-based Observatory, which has a wide network of sources inside Syria, said at the time.

Front).

Exclusive sources told North Press that the Ottoman Turkish authorities forcibly deported 80 Syrian refugees, including 12 women, from Turkey to the countryside of Idlib, through Bab al-Hawa border crossing.

Deportations have increased significantly over the past few days, after they witnessed a decline in the first half of August as a result of the media coverage and the increase of racism against them, the sources added.

On Wednesday, the Ottoman Turkish authorities deported more than 300 Syrian refugees towards areas controlled by the Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), through the Tel Abyad, Bab al-Salama and Bab al-Hawa border crossings.

Since the beginning of July, Turkey has launched a deportation campaign against the Syrian refugees residing in its territory, especially in Istanbul.

previously told news hounds that the number of the Syrian refugees who have "voluntarily returned" has exceeded one million and will increase in the future.

According to activists, more than 3,500 Syrians have been deported since July.

Turkey hands over 32 detainees to HTS at Bab al-Hawa crossing

[NPASyria] Turkish authorities handed over on Wednesday 32 people, they had arrested for two weeks, to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) at Bab al-Hawa border crossing in Idlib Governorate, northwest Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that the arrestees included seven security and military members of the HTS who were arrested while trying to cross to Turkey from the village of Kherbet al-Joz, northwest Idlib.

After the Turkish border guards handed them over, the HTS took their fingerprints and iris scan to prevent their entry into Turkish territory again, the source said.

This is the 12th operation of handing over this month where the arrestees are being subjected to security investigations within the Turkish territory, sources said.

A source from the Bab al-Hawa crossing said the number of those handed over by the Turkish authorities to the HTS in the current month exceeded 150 people.

SNA militants shoot Kurdish young man in Syria’s Afrin

[NPASyria] Militants of Suleiman Shah Brigade (al-Amshat) shot on Wednesday a Kurdish young man in a village west of the city of Afrin, northwest Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that the al-Amshat militants raided the house of Amer Kabi, 21, in the village of Kafr Safra, west of Afrin, and shot him, without identifying the charges against him.

Kabi was injured and transferred to Afrin Hospital, and later he was moved to one of their detention centers of the faction in the town of Sheikh al-Hadid, the source noted.

A month and half ago, Kabi was deported from Turkey. Before that, he was arrested on terrorism-related charges, the source added.

The al-Amshat faction has tightened its grip on the residents of Afrin and its countryside following the imposition of sanctions by the US department of the Treasury on its leadership and the Hamza faction.
