#2 Why does the US have two warships with 4,000 troops on board trying to start a new war with a foreign country?

Especially with morale declining and recruitment plummeting. The mission of the US military isn't invading and killing foreign countries any more. It's focused on domestic political culture war issues. Starting a new war at this point would be a humiliating failure. Remember Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal. Couldn't even lose a war correctly.
