Economy
"Strong as Hell" Economy is a Mirage of Math
[Gold, Goats'n, Guns] "President" Joe Biden described the US economy as, "Strong as hell," in a recent sound bite. No one except his most ardent supporters, a vanishingly small number in reality, believes that.

He and they point to statistics, "internals" in Biden-speaks, that point to why the US is better off than everyone else. Well, yes, we may be better than everyone else, that doesn’t however mean the economy is "strong as hell."

It just means it is the most attractive horse at the glue factory, to invoke more Biden-esque rhetoric.

Honestly, I was waiting for a Corn Pop reference, but Fox cut away too quickly.

The headline numbers — jobs, U-3 unemployment, etc. — don’t tell the whole story. If anything they tell a story directly opposite of what they normally would. Why? Math.

U-3 unemployment measures people still in the workforce looking for work, defined by those applying for unemployment. I don’t know about you but we’ve all heard the stories of record job openings. This also means the economy is supposed to be strong.

But then why are real wages negative? Why are they not only lagging inflation but slowing rapidly in nominal terms while headline (and massively understated) inflation is rising.

Europe
The Silent War Against the Germans
Responding to this story from Friday.
[GatesOfVienna] Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from the news portal Ansage.org:

It happened again: a Somali immigrant randomly stabbed young Germans. This time the victims were young men who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Again, attempts will be made not to give the victims a face. It is the wrong victims that our Federal President Steinmeier is reluctant to commemorate, because he cannot indulge in his eternal cult of guilt and hold up the mirror to the majority of society that they have failed again. Last year in Wurzburg the victims were German women; in Dresden they were homosexuals. The perpetrators were always said to be in an "exceptional psychological situation" and then everything quickly returned to business as usual. It will be the same again in Ludwigshafen.

And how does it continue? The next attack will not be long in coming. NRW [North Rhine-Westphalia] Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) announced in August that in the first half of 2022 alone, no fewer than 7,131 "crimes involving stabbing weapons" were recorded — in this one federal state alone. That corresponds to thirteen attacks per day — not counting a considerable number of unreported cases. This trend will continue to increase with ongoing and currently exploding illegal immigration. It is only the most spectacular cases that make it into the mainstream media for a short time.

CONCEALED FACTS
On the other hand, one can read every day everywhere in Germany, at least in the local media, about rape, serious physical injury and murder of those who "have been living here for a long time" by men who came to Germany supposedly "seeking protection" — these almost always belong to the Islamic culture. This is a fact that is either hushed up or put into perspective — and anyone who dares to state it openly is denounced as "Islamophobic" (the Islamists’ combat term), "right-wing" and "Nazi", or more appropriately, accused as "servant" of certain "narratives". No other people in the world deny crimes against their own citizens in a way comparable to the Germans.

Since Maria from Freiburg, Mia from Kandel and Susanne from Wiesbaden, hundreds if not thousands of victims have been added who rarely make it into the national press as so-called "individual cases". They are women, homosexuals and also men: people who became accidental victims because so-called "refuge seekers", who were able to get into Germany unchecked and unhindered, had destroyed their lives and those of their families. Merkel’s legacy is only just beginning to take effect.

DEAFENING SILENCE
And those in politics? The silence is deafening. On the contrary, with the basic income one creates the next incentive to immigrate to the German social system. People are taken indiscriminately from Afghanistan, and countries like Greece and Italia also want to relieve the burden of "refugees" — as if the majority of them wouldn’t end up in Germany within a short time anyway. Those in government at the federal, state and local level believe that currying favor with Islamic values would soften the immigrants colonists. In doing so, they criminally fail to recognize that many of them have not the slightest interest in the values that made our society the successful, peaceful and free country that Germany became after 1949 and that have distinguished us for decades.

On the contrary; they often reject them deeply, and every step back we take is understood not as a gesture of friendship but of weakness. Like the unlawful approval of the muezzin call, which is now calling out to everyone in the cathedral city of Cologne
...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth populated city in Germany....
that there is "no god but Allah". Ultimately, this is an order to all Moslems to spread their own faith among the so-called unbelievers — in extreme cases, in accordance with the Koran, even through violence.

#1  LOL. I couldn't think of a more deserving group of assholes. You wanted this, Germans. You waited at the airports, giddy with glee, with signs saying "will trade racists for rapists." And now, your new overlords are letting you know how things are going to be from now on. Stabbings of homos and rape of women are going to be standard. Import the third world, become the third world. Hey, don't worry, you can take comfort in the fact that white men made them rape, according to your own social justice theories. See this short informative video below.

#3  In the wake of the news that the 9/11 hijackers had lived in Europe, journalist Ian Johnson wondered how such a radical group could sink roots into Western soil. Most accounts reached back twenty years, to U.S. support of Islamist fighters in Afghanistan. But Johnson dug deeper, to the start of the Cold War, uncovering the untold story of a group of ex-Soviet Muslims who had defected to Germany during World War II. There, they had been fashioned into a well-oiled anti-Soviet propaganda machine. As that war ended and the Cold War began, West German and U.S. intelligence agents vied for control of this influential group, and at the center of the covert tug of war was a quiet mosque in Munich—radical Islam’s first beachhead in the West.

Culled from an array of sources, including newly declassified documents, A Mosque in Munich interweaves the stories of several key players: a Nazi scholar turned postwar spymaster; key Muslim leaders across the globe, including members of the Muslim Brotherhood; and naïve CIA men eager to fight communism with a new weapon, Islam. A rare ground-level look at Cold War spying and a revelatory account of the West’s first, disastrous encounter with radical Islam, A Mosque in Munich is as captivating as it is crucial to our understanding the mistakes we are still making in our relationship with Islamists today

#8  There were 22 of ‘em across the continental U.S. a few years ago, Dron. And very upsetting that thought is, too. Or happy, depending on one’s approach...

Clarion Project: Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani militant group that has rebranded itself as Muslims of the Americas, says it has 22 "Islamic villages" in the U.S. Its "Islamberg" headquarters in New York is the most well-known.

A search of Rantburg’s archives yields seventeen articles on the subject — the search is a little slow to load, but worth the wait.

Government Corruption
The FBI Raid and Disappearance of Journalist James Gordon Meek Should Chill You to the Bone
[Red State] James Gordon Meek is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who worked as a correspondent and producer for ABC News. He is articulate, focused, and relentless in his work as an investigative journalist, and exposed the coverup behind the death of four U.S. Special Forces soldiers in Niger, Africa in 2017. This is not Meek’s first time calling out the United States Military and their lack of accountability, along with the lack of leadership existent in our current brass. Over the last year, Meek has been promoting his Hulu documentary, 3212 Un-Redacted, where he documents this Niger expose and its fallout.

In discussing his deep dive into yet another military debacle, Meek spoke with "Reel Talker" host Jim Alexander in November 2021, and said,

"But the truth matters, doesn’t it? I mean, that’s the bottom line. We’re sort of accustomed to the government lying, but this was extraordinary, they lied to families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice for you and me. That is just, most people would agree, a disgrace."

The government’s record of disgrace continues, once again, straight from the Department of Justice. On April 27, 2022, the FBI raided Meek’s home and leaked the information that Meek had classified information on his laptop, which precipitated the need to conduct the raid. Purportedly, the warrant and the reasons behind the raid should be under seal; but such is the nature of this FBI.

I am nowhere near the investigative journalist that Meek is, but the last thing I would think of doing is leaving sensitive information on my laptop. That’s Investigative Journalism 101. If anything, you bury several copies someplace non-digital and non-traceable. These days, my dog’s bed is safer than a safe deposit box. I seriously doubt a savvy professional like Meek made such a grave error in judgment. But, there are lots of things being manufactured by the government these days—none of them good.

After this raid, it was discovered that Meek had abruptly resigned from his nine-plus year producing gig at ABC News and has not been heard from since.

Science & Technology
Black Death Alters Human Genome 700 Years Later
[ZERO] The Black Death was one of the world's largest mortality events ever, wiping out 30-60% of the global population as it swept through North Africa, Europe, and Asia 700 years ago.

Newly published research in the medical journal Nature reveals the ancient dead had a secret. DNA samples from victims and survivors of the bacterium Yersinia pestis, also known as the bubonic plague, had distinct genetic differences that helped some survive while others succumbed to death.

Those genetic differences likely altered the evolution of the human genome, as survivors of the plague passed on genes that once helped them survive the awful plague pathogen to offspring and are now linked to a greater chance of autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's and rheumatoid arthritis today.

"We are the descendants of those that survived past pandemics ... and understanding the evolutionary mechanisms that contributed to our survival is not only important from a scientific viewpoint, but can also inform on the mechanisms and genetic determinants of present-day susceptibility to disease," study coauthor Luis Barreiro, a professor of genetic medicine at the University of Chicago, told CNN via email.

In the study, Barreiro and other researchers found that Black Death survivors in London and Denmark had genes that protected them against the plague pathogen. They found one particular gene, known as ERAP 2, was found to be protective against the virus. Before the plague, 40% of Londoners had the gene -- after the epidemic, 50%. The same was for Denmark. About 40% had the gene before the plague, while 70% had it afterward.

#4  Assuming a proper response to an epoch pandemic such as Black Death, how far back in time would we need to go in order to have a proper authority response?

90's? 2000's?

Its the one thing Black Death and Covid have in common - Authority did everything wrong. I like the part where community patrols made sure their neighbors stayed locked in their house, and only certain members of society which allowed the wealthy to continue on were allowed travel.

Mercer - TESTOSTERONE: GOING… GOING… GONE!
[Mercer] The male hormonal horror show, as told on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," is almost 2 decades old. It unfolded to very little fanfare in 2006. As this writer first divulged in her column "Manly No More," the data came courtesy of Dr. Thomas Travison and colleagues at the New England Research Institutes in Watertown, Massachusetts.

American men are indeed losing the stuff that makes them macho.

Wrote Reuters in 2007:

"A new study has found a ’substantial’ drop in U.S. men’s testosterone levels since the 1980s." The average levels of the male hormone have been dropping by an astounding 1 percent a year. A 65-year-old in 1987 would have had testosterone levels 15 percent higher than those of a 65-year-old in 2002.

Although the New York Times’ science and medicine reporter now mocks these findings—she likely does so because masculinity has, in the intervening years, been declared toxic and because Tucker refuses to let men be defanged.

The reasons for the reduction in testosterone levels remain unclear. A rise in obesity and a decline in smoking have been suggested, since "testosterone levels are lower among overweight people and smoking increases testosterone levels."

More reliably, other researchers have implicated estrogen-mimicking chemicals, which leach into the environment from plastics (BPA). I had covered the pioneering work of Dr. Devra Davis on these xenoestrogens in my Canadian column, in 1999. On this front—the pox of plastics—men and women can expect nothing from Republican representatives, who still consider it a conservative creed to fill-the-oceans-with-plastics, kill-everything-that-moves-for-profit, and call on the Third World to be fruitful and multiply, so as to perpetuate this cycle of pillage and pollution.

Conspicuously absent from these reports are the effects on serum testosterone of changes in life experiences over time. These trends are, however, routinely tracked when discussing incidence of this or the other disease or deficiency in distaff America.

Thus, breast cancer is said to be associated with the modern woman’s propensity to delay or forfeit childbearing. Osteoporosis is exacerbated by women’s sedentary routines—they do less weight-bearing work than they used to. And so on.

FEMINIZATION

It is very possible, even likely, that the feminization of society over the past 20 to 30 years is changing males, body and mind. It is very possible that the subliminal stress involved in sublimating one’s essential nature is producing less manly men.

Consider: When they are not twerking tush with transexuals, today’s tykes are required to hack their way through page-turners like One Dad Two Dads Brown Dad Blue Dads. Boyhood today also means BB guns and "bang-bang you’re dead" are banned.

Boys are hardwired for competition; the contemporary school enforces cooperation. Boys like to stand out. But team-work obsessed, mediocre, mostly female school teachers teach them to fade into the background. Boys thrive in more disciplined, structured learning environments; the American school system is synonymous with letting it all hang out.

Sons are more likely to be raised without male mentors, since moms, in the last few decades, are more inclined to divorce (and get custody), never marry, or bear children out of wedlock. The schools have been emptied of manly men and staffed by feminists, mostly lacking in the Y chromosome. Although boys (and girls) require discipline, the rare disciplinarian risks parent-driven litigation.
