, has asserted responsibility for engaging in combat with Israeli forces west of Khan Younis, Al Jazeera reported.

The group reported employing anti-personnel shells against a 15-member Israeli unit taking refuge in a house.

In a statement, the Qassam Brigades declared that their fighters confirmed the Israeli soldiers' casualties, with some falling between dead and injured.
