Finally! Col. Douglas Macgregor opines: Trump's Next Target Is a Full Invasion of Iran.
[YouTube] Col. Douglas Macgregor breaks down claims that a full invasion of Iran could become the primary focus of future US foreign policy. Learn the strategic risks, military logistics, and geopolitical fallout behind these potential Middle East military conflict scenarios.
I don’t see it, but I am certainly not even sloghtly knowledgeable about such things.
This analysis examines Col. Douglas Macgregor's perspective on shifting US priorities and what a direct confrontation with Tehran would mean for global stability. We look closely at regional alliances, military readiness, and the broader debate surrounding Trump Iran policy decisions.

Whether you follow defense strategy or international relations, this breakdown clarifies the real-world obstacles to a large-scale invasion of Iran and the likelihood of escalating tensions in the region.
Note that the good colonel has been accused of antisemitism and is seen as a major advocate for the Russian regime’s positions on the war in Ukraine. 22 minutes. # id) ?>

2 Politically it would be political suicide to get involved in a land war in Iran.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Iran's has about 750k active and standby military personnel total.
All pretty much focused in defending their homeland with 1 hand terrain knowledge. PLUS a 5th column of well over 30K+ in terrorist shock troops.

The U.S. military has about 1.3+ Million active-duty service members spread around the world and roughly 750+K in the National Guard or reserves. We likely have less than 250K Army & National Guard troops that can be physically deployed to fight a actual ground war. Say we do kick ass. Consider the cost of a US Occupation force. Plus as soon as we depart, the enemy usually just reverts back to being what it was?

The USA already being $40+ TRILLION in Debt, and citizens screaming about being way Over-Taxed already now. How can the USA fight any large scale ground war?

OH! While we are at it.
What about stretching the US Home Defenses thin while the CCP, Russia, North Korea, Canada, a few EU's and others groups (that are all allies) and have serious issues with the USA?

A US Troop based ground war might not be something to undertake without a massive build-up. Looking at this Smart Phone / G.T.A. raised generation for Draft troops is not encouraging.

Maybe dropping massive amounts of bombs in known Iranian leadership & logistical supply positions is a better alternative and will better feed the M.I.C.and congress's pockets?
