Yes, the specialized battalions are being removed. They are being broken up and pushed down to the infantry battalions as an integrated part of the unit. Lessons from Ukraine showed that this capability embedded at the smaller unit worked a lot better.

So no U-turn, more of a redeployment into the actual units that will need them.
