1 Postal workers will still have to hump the huge bags of 'Amazon Prime' dog food, cat litter, and out sized rolls of paper towels. The USPS and Amazon contract is from hell. Neither the USPS tiny trucks nor the employees are equipped to handle the task.

We have postal and delivery people working in 100+ F-degree heat, here in the south. So a number of us will freeze a bottles of water for them. Place it in the mail box and flip the flag up, or in a styrofoam cooler on the pouch for them.

Living in the suburbs of central CT, almost everything I get through Amazon is delivered by Amazon. What I do get through USPS, FedEx or UPS are those things sold by independent sellers or otherwise not stocked in an Amazon warehouse.
Obviously more rural areas will continue to rely on USPS.
As for package weight, many smaller bullet suppliers catering to the reloading crowd are (or at least were) sending shipments in the USPS flat rate boxes with package weight around 70 pounds.
