7 Invade Iran with what? Best guess, based on what I remember of the reporting, is we have maybe a brigade's worth of Marine and Army combat units present in theater. Maybe bring in the 82nd Airborne doing a drop direct from the US or a landing at airport captured by the above mentioned brigade. As good as US troops are, even with complete air support, that doesn't seem a big enough force. Adding additional units would take at least 7-10 days.
I also don't think the country will accept a large scale* US ground attack into Iran.

*Defined as more than a battalion
