1 A friend and Soviet defector's father was named a hero of the Soviet Union by dying in the first Kursk battle that Russia never talks about. That happened only a few days after the Nazi invasion.
His mother was pregnant with him at the time and she was made a ward of a top Soviet family. When he grew up with all sorts of benefits made from that he was forced to marry her daughter who taught communism at the main Moscow University in the same way in latter decades that Gorbachev's wife did... He built the analog woodpecker radar everybody knows about and when he needed a reactor to power it asked Brezhnev to build Chernobyl.
