2 pretty sure at this point that Iran has capped some of its crude oil production

they have about 1.5M bpd of domestic demand so they need to continue that but prior to Feb 2026 they were producing 3-4M bpd with the export used to fund the govt.

I don't know what the govt is running on now as they have no capacity to issue bonds that would actually be bought. Maybe the CCP is funding them but even that would eventually be ended as the CCP has a lot of other interests.
