4 An incident from 2002. I was exercising in the company gym. A fellow from another department recognized me (I didn't recognize him) and asked me if I was proud of the fact that US Troops were flushing Korans down toilets in Afghanistan. I asked him why I was being asked this. He said he was an engineer and that he was a secular Muslim and he knew me from some project I was coordinating years before. I said, "Well since you are an engineer, could you explain how a person could flush a Koran down a toilet. It seems to me to be impossible." He thought for a while and then said, "Yes it seems impossible. But why would someone lie about that?"
