I agree with P2k.

Once the USSR Union fell, we were no longer needed there.
Heck we even helped Russia get back own its feet, only to be pissed on by
the USSR former elite now running it.

The EU has since formed its own Socialist Union.

How many 100's of BILLIONS in US Taxpayer were pumped into the ungrateful EU?

The USA needs to embark on its own rebuilding mission focused only on itself.

Because the seeds of what is happening in the EU have already been sowed
here and starting to sprout in Blue Cities.

We should probably bomb them a little just for practice. I do like their sprouts, though.

As for Greenland, it has not been in the news here since Trump stopped saying outrageous things, but last I heard, there were discussions about economic development and military basing rights. Kind of makes you wonder if that was the end game all along.

We closed a bunch of bases in the 1990s — downsized by over 50%, I suspect. The German rental market was noticeably affected, and no doubt elsewhere as well.

16 At this point, our non-CONUS (and, unfortunately, CONUS) military members are, in many cases, surrounded by philosophical hostiles increasingly easily provoked to malicious activities.

The considerations consist of moving a lot of $US and additional resources to locales more appreciative of their presences or, maybe, simply brought back to the US and "attrited".
