1 I agree. I can see us doing raids involving Special Operations, the MEU's or the brigade of the 82nd Airborne against very high value targets that can't taken out by aircraft. Alternatively, seriously escalating the killing of the IRGC & Basij leadership and troops by both aircraft & ground raids.

Georgian Uprising on Texel (April–May 1945)
The Georgian uprising on Texel (5 April – 20 May 1945) was a mutiny by the 882nd Infantry Battalion “Königin Tamara” of the Georgian Legion, a unit of the German Wehrmacht stationed on the Dutch island of Texel Wikipedia+1. It was one of the last battles of the European theatre of World War II.

Background
The battalion, composed of about 800 Georgians and 400 Germans (mostly German officers), was formed in 1943 from former Red Army soldiers captured on the Eastern Front. Many had volunteered to avoid the brutal conditions of Soviet POW camps, with the hope of regaining Georgian independence if Germany won Wikipedia+1. By early 1945, the unit was part of the Atlantic Wall defenses on Texel, a heavily fortified island in the Wadden Sea.

As the war turned against Germany, fears grew that Soviet collaborators would be repatriated under Yalta terms, facing execution or imprisonment. This motivated some Georgians to rebel Wikipedia.

The Uprising

On the night of 5–6 April 1945, 800 Georgians attacked with surprise, killing around 246 German soldiers before dawn World War II Database. 5 I hear some people say Hormuz is not our problem but I think it is because, if the price of oil goes up in China and Europe, it will also go up here and Trump will pay a price for that in November.

But I hate to see boots on the ground in Iran. That'd be bloody and messy with no guarantee of success.

I don't think we need regime change. Good enough would be destruction of Iran's nuclear and missile capabilities and free flow of oil through Hormuz.
