2 as I recall, the manufacturing process put out twice as many tubes of toothpaste per unit time without requiring any upgrades of the equipment, just by having the factory team walk us through their current process

Rafael Systems has several operating laser interceptors. Their recent operation, used against projectiles from Hezbollah, is in the 'getting the bugs out, optimizing, trying out options' phase.

For several years, the system will only be used for defense against small rockets and drones.

Eventually its use will expand.

Open question.

Once the DC have deployed and depleted a vast amount of our military supplies, Intel, and other resources, 7,250+ miles aways from the USA itself.

Wouldn't that be an opportune time for the CCP / Russia / N. Korea and etc to make a move on North/South America?

7 Raytheon has a good Lean program. Replenishment will be rapid. If I wanted to set up the most rapid replenishment possible, I would change procurement policy so that sub assemblies at various stages were owned by the government. That would allow for replenishing 1000 immediately and 100 a day after that. That is my guess without see their factory. Kanban and pull systems are wonderful devices. Tax systems, not so much.

That sounds right, Skidmark. The buzzwords then were Total Quality and Six Sigma. The best series of meetings I ever sat quietly in while others did all the work. Absolutely fascinating — every day on that job was an education.

10 There are two programs to refill the stockpile of Tomahawk missiles.

One program is to speed up construction of new ones.

One program is to retrofit older versions to be as capable as the latest version.

and Yes, Raytheon has contracts on both.
