2 ...On the other hand...the Iranians may be locked into their own fantasies and have lost the keys. I think there's a surprisingly large chance that Khamenei doesn't know how bad things got torn up last summer, so there's that. And then they have GOT to be telling themselves that the Americans attacking last year was a fluke, that we'll never actually try to put them out of business.
