2 Recognition of the futility and wasted time involved in "turning a sow's ear into a silk purse." The so-called "Golden Hour" refers to battlefield casualties that can be saved vs those which cannot. The Golden Hour for Africa has long past. No moral dilemma here, just harsh reality.

A region beset by problems that only they can resolve. Kasparov never won a match by wasting moves. President Trump is in it to win.
