1 In vetting the governor, Harris’s team accounted for the fact that there was at that point significant evidence in the public record of "funds being misused," a former Harris campaign staffer told National Review. But the scandal that would destroy Walz’s gubernatorial reelection campaign was not seen as significant enough to automatically disqualify him from serving as first in line to the presidency, raising new questions about Harris’s political judgment as she weighs her own electoral future.

Or put another way, nobody wanted to put their backside on the line to tell Harris this guy had potential problems.

Had they gone with Josh Shapiro, the blowout wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad, and in fact may have gone the other way. But Harris didn't want a Jew on the ticket.

4 /\ There is a certain odor about those numerous China trips. Perhaps it's nothing, but a thorough investigation would certainly be warranted.

I seem to remember "foreign travel" being a reportable event for service members. Or am I remembering incorrectly. This might be a starting point.

13 Timmy, raised an unreal amount of money shortly after being selected. That’s what he brought to the table. Probably could not have done that without the unique financial structure of Dem politics in Minnesota.
