3 [AI]Air France engine suppliers
Air France-KLM, the parent company of Air France, has a significant relationship with CFM International, a 50/50 joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines, as its primary engine supplier for the Airbus A320neo family fleet.
In July 2022, Air France-KLM signed an agreement with CFM International for the acquisition of 200 LEAP-1A engines to power its new fleet of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft.
This decision followed a prior order of 100 Airbus A320neo family aircraft with purchase rights for 60 additional aircraft, aimed at renewing and expanding the fleets of KLM, Transavia Netherlands, and Transavia France.

CFM International has also expanded its partnership with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), a major maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider, to enhance the LEAP open MRO network.
AFI KLM E&M has developed 200 repair procedures for the CFM LEAP turbofan engine and is operating LEAP-1A test cells at its Paris and Amsterdam sites to meet growing MRO demand.
The company has also been developing in-house repair capabilities for aircraft parts due to delays in spare parts deliveries from suppliers, including efforts to repair components for the Pratt & Whitney GTF engines used on Air France’s Airbus A220 fleet.

Additionally, Air France-KLM has selected GEnx engines for its Boeing 787 fleet, indicating a diversified engine supplier strategy across different aircraft types.
While CFM International is the primary supplier for the A320neo family, the airline group continues to operate CFM56-7B engines on its Boeing 737 NG and CFM56-5B engines on its Airbus A320ceo fleets, reflecting a long-standing relationship with CFM.

5 Falling about six miles in ten minutes is 36 miles per hour.

I wouldn't call that a "plummet".
