3 Some thoughts on this. Taking the astronomers on their claim this asteroid is from another galaxy. It is outgassing and acting erratically, why? Here are some thoughts. Space is not a giant void of nothingness. Just like saying air is the same density at sea level as it is at 20,000 feet. Space has an amazing amount of things going on in the void. First is the density issue, to think this density is the same across the universe is false. Gravity from all the planets and stars affect everything about space, and we still know very little about it. I would bet the density of space, if we knew how to measure it, would be different near Pluto from say Mercury. Now we have the energy from stars racing through the space. On one side of a spaceship its 400 below and on the run side its boiling hot. There is mass in space, however small, but its there. Imagine our density could be much less than the galaxy it came from, our heat and gravity could be higher. That would explain the outgassing, as well as the wobbling.
What this rock from another galaxy has taught me is that we know very little about space and a simple rock from our neighbors jar our every belief in physics...
