4 Besoeker, I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment in Marietta and my rent was going to go up by over $00/month with just my wife and I. I could walk by and see in the same size apartment and see in since they left their front doors open, the migrants literally had multiple bunk beds in the living room, so I imagine there were a lot more in the bedroom.Had to move to a duplex so my rent went up $600/month and am still surrounded by them. They all drive $70,000 or more trucks and do not seem to have any problems. Can't get through the ICE hotline.

5 Chris: You could do better if you worked for cash (no state or fed) tax deductions, went to the hospital emergency room for meds and routine treatment, collected govt rent subsidies and food stamps, and became an "uninsured motorist,"

Getting your partner to do house cleaning or work in a car wash.....good side gigs also.

6 A govt backed loan could enable you to become a homeowner and landlord. Those bunks are income and limited only to the number of painting and lawcare trucks you have space for on your lawn. The world really is your oyster.

7 I haven't paid income taxes since 2008 and don't plan on it. I actually do remodeling in the Buckhead and Sandy springs etc area, also have done the car detailing and whatever. IWILL NOT pay any income taxes at any level. I'm a white male so any "help"from the government is out of the question.

10 It is almost like all those 'land developing companies' who spent that year buying up all the housing properties, which drove up prices in a major way, were on the in with this human trafficking racket.

Was talking to a dude who attends a weekend resort annually with like minded individuals. Dude said, "Not to sound stereotypical but there is a couple who attends, Indian, buys old hotels, who were struggling until the human trafficking, then they were made, getting 3x usual rent." Dude wasn't being jealous, happy for his friend, but wow.

11 Nothing to apologize for, chris dear. You’re absolutely right to be frustrated about the situation. It was deliberately engineered to give the hiring class really cheap and uncomplaining labour. But 2 million of your competitors have already left the country — 1.5 mil voluntarily and half a mil dragged out in handcuffs — with considerably more to come.

So it will get better.

On the work side opportunities and higher pay should show up for you fairly quickly. The rental side will probably take considerably longer, as the 20/apartment falls to 10 per, then 5 per… only going back on the market when the last one leaves and the owner has spent a shocking amount of time andmoney to repair and redecorate after all the wear and tear. On the other hand, you might get hired for some of that work, too.
