6 The huge majority of Americans, Britons, Afghans, Syrians etc are normal, ordinary, ethical and law abiding people. Criminals are a tiny minority.

The problem is that the consensus on law and ethics in e.g. the US and Afghanistan is incompatibly different.

Afghan consensus on law, normalcy and ethics is monstrous insanity from a Western point of view, and vice versa.

The big issue is that the DC shooter is a normal, decent family man from an Afghan and mainstream Muslim perspective, not a mad criminal.

7 Before we do anything else, I would like to see us stop sending $40M a week to the Taliban. For the DC folks, that does not mean that I want to see it raised to $45M, lowered to $35M, or continued but with different NGOs. Let’s go to zero on the Taliban. Then we can discuss what to do to sort through all the Afghans that are already here and randomly penalize Guatemalans.
