Let's see...shelf stable foods which will be there in times of want and are generally healthy, or soda pop?

There is a regional grocery store I go to when I need ingredients I can't get at my local store, and while shopping and squeezing pennies, I go by the deli section and here's this like 2 pound Italian Grinder with all the ingredients on real bread - and big ol' orange sticker on it "SNAP". Not to undersell it, but a bit frustrating.
