1 Victorio was born around 1825 in the northern regions of Mexico, later conquered by the Americans.

Oh, so they were already 'colonized' by another country (ie Spain/Mexico).

The captured women and children were sold into slavery.

Still 'legal' in Mexico, not in the United States.

2 I recall reading years ago that in the early days of brass cartridges, no one could figure out how to reuse them, until some Apaches figured out how to reload them. Oddly using a pebble was part of the process. (Caveat Emptor - I am very old)
