1 Not a lawyer, but I was under the impression that it was a matter of settled law that the police have no duty to protect anybody. So, will this be an actual lawsuit lawsuit or just a media stunt?

Also, if I take the 1% side, do I get odds?

2 No, they're not required to protect anyone. They should, however, take both parties into custody.
