The Danes passed a law in 1992 to bring in 321 refugees from Palestine. A study followed them until 2019.

Of those who came:
204 were convicted of a crime (63%)
71 were jailed
176 ended up on welfare(more than half)

The second generation was 999 children:
337 convicted of a crime (34%)
132 jailed
372 ended up on welfare (37%)

The Justice Minister, who had presided over the entire thing, said “these asylum seekers should not have been let in.”
